Fala Chen is snorkeling in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post the Godzilla x Kong and Shang-Chi star shows off her amazingly fit figure in a bathing suit while exploring the ocean in Queensland, Australia. “My favourite little turtle,” commented one of her followers. “You are so cute,” added another. How does the actress approach health and fitness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.

1. Martial Art

After being casted in Shang-Chi, Fala flew directly from her honeymoon to Sydney, Australia, and began rigorous physical training. One of the workouts she had to master was martial arts, she told Elle.

2. Pilates

Pilates were also part of Fala’s training for Shang-Chi. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

3. Weight Training

Fala also revealed to Elle that she did weight training to prepare for the career-changing role. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.

4. Reading

Fala also loves to read. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

5. Snorkeling

In her featured post, Fala snorkels. “Beautiful day of snorkeling, my posture though,” she captioned the photo of herself in her swimsuit from the Great Barrier Reef. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Elizabeth Olsen played Elle Brody in the first film. She shared some of her favorite skincare products with CNN. Olsen says that she always uses sunscreen. “I use Supergoop!, but I always check the UV index. I don’t want to wear SPF for no reason. So it’s on the weather app and if it says it’s like one or two, I’m not going to wear SPF even if the sun’s out. I don’t love wearing sunscreen unless I’m out in the sun.”

2. Brie Larson

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,23:,Brie,Larson,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Brie Larson played Mason Weaver in Kong: Skull Island. She shared some of her favorite skincare tricks with Allure. Larson says that she loves coconut or olive oil on her face. “To wash my face, I might use coconut or olive oil. When I used to travel and do pressers and things and I didn't want to bring tons of products, I would just ask the hotel for olive oil. Oil my face, hot towel.”

3. Mae Whitman

Los,Angeles,-,Oct,1:,Mae,Whitman,At,The,"venom"Shutterstock

Mae Whitman played Annie in Skull Island. She opened up about having endometriosis in an interview with Allure. Whitman says that self-care is more important to her now. “To me, self-care really is about putting everything aside, going to a special place in your mind, and actually finding a way back to the present moment,” she says. “To be able to taste the tea that you're drinking, to enjoy the food that you're eating, to enjoy the smell of the soap that you're using or relaxing into the bath, as opposed to racing through my day with anxiety, which contributes to the pain.”

4. Kiersey Clemons

Los,Angeles,-,Jul,09:,Kiersey,Clemons,Arrives,For,ëbarbieíShutterstock

Kiersey Clemons plays May Olowe-Hewitt in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. She talked about the importance of having self-confidence to POPSugar. “I think we have this definition of confidence that means that a person wakes up and looks in the mirror every day and is like, 'You're a queen! I love you! You're beautiful! You're perfect!' But I think confidence is looking in the mirror sometimes and being like, 'You look like sh*t! You goofball!' and that's fine. It's accepting the fact that you're a person and you're going to rock the fact that you're a human."

5. Betty Gilpin

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,12:,Betty,Gilpin,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Betty Gilpin plays Irene in Skull Island. She shared her morning wellness and skincare routine with Women’s Health. "As a result of having a long and arduous road with my skin, I start my morning with certain things that have helped me combat acne,” she says. “I really notice that when I have these things in the morning, I break out less. I drink this green thing, called Macro Greens with some mint-flavored chlorophyll. Then I take all these vitamins—to try to tell myself that I’m a person who takes vitamins. I take fish oil and turmeric and zinc, all this skin stuff."

6. Eiza Gonzalez

Los,Angeles,-,Jul,18:,Eiza,Gonzalez,Arrives,To,TheShutterstock

Eiza Gonzalez played Maia Simmons in Godzilla vs. Kong. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she talked about how important wellness is to her. “I’m a health freak and I like to give back to my body. Doing my beauty routine regimen in the morning and night is like a way to say ‘thank you for everything you do for me’ to my body. Working out and giving blood flow to my legs is saying ‘thank you for allowing me to walk around.’”

7. Aisha Hinds

Los,Angeles,-,May,18:,Aisha,Hinds,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Aisha Hinds played Diane Foster in King of The Monsters. She shared her skincare secrets with Us Weekly. “I’m all about cleansing and Murad has a line that is good for cleansing and toning. It’s good for acne. I have cystic acne when my skin starts to act up, so I have started using their clarifying cleanser, which has 1.5% salicylic acid, so that helps the acne. I also use their exfoliating acne treatment gel, so that helps to keep the acne at bay. I make sure to moisturize with their skin perfecting lotion. So it’s like a 1-2-3 step that I do every morning and every night. Every two or three days, I’ll do an acne masque.”

8. Bradley Whitford

Los,Angeles,-,May,18:,Bradley,Whitford,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Bradley Whitford played Rick Stanton in King of The Monsters. He revealed that he walks to stay in shape in an interview with People. "I started walking a lot [during the pandemic], which I love to do. It's sort of an anti-anxiety, anti-depressant. As I've gotten older, I have to be careful with my knee. I'm doing a play right now, and so I've been going to a gym and sort of pathetically lifting weights sort of regularly, and walking, and just getting up and down counts as a squat."

9. Kyle Chandler

Los,Angeles,-,May,07:,Kyle,Chandler,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Kyle Chandler played Mark Russell in King of The Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong. He revealed to Men’s Health that he was bullied growing up, and shared his secret to finding confidence. "I couldn't fit in, and I wanted so badly to find a reason for that," he says. "I got so frustrated that I put a piece of paper over my bed that read, 'I'm no better than anyone else, and nobody's better than I am.' It was the only way I knew to make sense of my place in the world."

10. Rebecca Hall

Los,Angeles,-,Dec,06:,Rebecca,Hall,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Rebecca Hall played Ilene Andrews in Godzilla vs. Kong, and will reprise her role in The New Empire. Hall revealed in an interview with Vogue that she has a relaxed approach to wellness. "I've gone through plenty of times in my life when I've thought, 'Oh, I've got that premiere coming up, I must detox for a week, or go to the gym, or only eat grapefruit' or whatever. And I always think I'll do it but I never ever do. Everyone wants to have a crack at every [fad diet] going don't they. I think I'm fairly healthy so generally I just wing it."

11. Thomas Middleditch

Los,Angeles,,Ca,-,January,23,,2020:,Thomas,Middleditch,AttendsShutterstock

Thomas Middleditch played Sam Coleman in King of The Monsters. He revealed that he loves to bike ride, and encouraged others to do so, in an interview with LA Magazine. “Everyone says L.A. is a really stressful, bad place to ride bicycles. A lot of people from New York say that, and I would NEVER ride a bike in New York City. I think L.A.’s a fine place to ride bicycles. You just have to be very aware. So ride your goddamn bike.”

Nicole Fortuin is currently starring as Ririka on the live-action adaptation of One Piece and on the show Legacy. She has previously appeared in Flatland and A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits. Fortuin just shared a new set of photos on Instagram. In one of them, she is seen in a swimsuit and snorkel mask. Fortuin captioned the post, “@carel_nel seems to think I say this all the time 🙄 and I know that I don't 🤣... this cast!! ... hearts and souls of gold. Everyone. je l'aime vraiment ici.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Nicole Fortuin stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Speaks Out

Fortuin tells Sarafina Magazine that she wants to use her platform to speak out about important causes. “I realized this small platform that I have does have the potential to reach people. I don’t associate myself with things that are not important to me on some level. I can only talk about things that are important to me. I recently did two PSA’s. One was for Brother’s For Life #RapeStopsWithMe. Everyone is aware of the violence that is happening across the world but in South Africa as well. I had always been really fascinated by what happens in people’s minds and in men’s minds especially because often I am really confused by how people operate and what makes it ok for them. I guess the throughline is my interest in other people but their campaign is about men and men making correct choices and being responsible.”

2. She’s Grounded

For Fortuin, staying grounded is important when it comes to being in the public eye. “I do feel like if I’m not grounded, I can’t be truthful in the work that I do,” she told Sarafina Magazine. “I know that for a fact because I’ve seen it. I’ve seen really great artists become really mediocre and boring and you realize [that] the line between real life and the work you do is thin. My commitment to being honest or emotive or touching someone else is so related to who I am and what I am doing on a spiritual level, on a financial level, whatever it is.”

3. She Swims

Fortuin likes to swim to stay in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. Fortuin shared this set of photos of herself swimming in a pool. The Cleveland Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Like other forms of cardio, swimming can help you burn calories and lose weight. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a 154-pound person who swims slow freestyle laps for 30 minutes burns 255 calories. But that amount varies depending on your weight, speed and stroke.”

4. She Took A Social Media Break

Person,Using,A,Social,Media,Marketing,Concept,On,Mobile,PhoneShutterstock

Fortuin revealed to Iol.com that she decided to take a break from social media due to it overwhelming her. “Just this week I decided to take a break from social media. Precisely because there is so much information coming at you all at once. The last thing I remember seeing is the possible discovery of another planet? One that may have similar properties to Earth and is now being looked at as an alternative planet for human beings to inhabit? I am not sure if any of it is true (it's the internet after all) so please fact-check it before you tell anyone else about it.”

5. She Has Snorkled

Snorkeling offers a plethora of health benefits. Firstly, it's an excellent cardiovascular workout that enhances lung capacity and overall fitness. The rhythmic breathing while swimming boosts endurance and reduces the risk of heart disease. Additionally, snorkeling promotes relaxation and reduces stress by immersing you in the tranquil underwater world, which can improve mental well-being. It also enhances muscle strength and tone, particularly in the legs, as you kick to explore the underwater landscape. Moreover, the buoyancy of water reduces joint impact, making snorkeling an ideal low-impact exercise for those with joint issues. Overall, snorkeling combines fitness, mental relaxation, and enjoyment of nature, making it a fantastic activity for promoting physical and mental health.

You star Nicole Kang went on vacation to beautiful Santorini, Greece, and didn’t quite get the pictures she wanted. Kang, who plays Lynn on the show, shared pictures of herself lounging on a boat, looking stunning in a wine-colored bikini. Another reel showed her walking up Santorini’s many stairs, looking exhausted. “Trying to give more windswept than winded but the stairs are winning,” she jokingly captioned the post. Here’s how Kang feels about her part in You, and diversity in Hollywood.

1. Joining the Cast

Nicole,Kang,Attends,20th,Annual,Unforgettable,Gala,Presented,By,LexusShutterstock

Kang was incredibly nervous when she joined the cast of You. “I was in the show, You, and that was a huge shift for me,” she says. “It’s my same producer and even the same director for some episodes at Batwoman, Marcos Siega, who have seen me grow up. I remember I had never really been on a set before; I had been an extra and did some student films, a ton of theater but that was the first time that I had been on a set of that scale before. I remember I was in hair and makeup and felt like the most pampered and fabulous person (laughs). I was walking around in my own music video. They told me we are going to be filming episode two and I had only received episode one, so as a theater or as any actor, I always thought my first time I was going to be so prepared and so ready but here I was sitting in a full panic in hair. I just told myself to breathe.”

2. Batwoman Role

Kang is proud of her Batwoman role (as Mary Hamilton) and hopes there will be many more like it. “Don’t we just love strong female characters and female empowerment?” she says. “I think that’s what our show arguably does best. I think, you know, if you look at our top cast, it’s overwhelmingly women, and that doesn’t happen. And we aren’t talking about men; we aren’t needing men to tell the audience about ourselves. That is my favorite thing. That is also one of my favorite things about Mary. She is unapologetically herself in the way she dresses, in the way she comes into a room, in the way she takes on risk.”

3. New York Roots

Kang has a soft spot in her heart for New York. “I always say New York was my coming of age story, it was my cultural awakening. In that way, I owe it so much,” she says. “All of the hard lessons and the big triumphs for me, at the beginning of my career, all happened in New York City, which is like the prologue of a book. The move to LA was for work since I am in Vancouver shooting Batwoman. I thought it would be great to have my US-base be in LA since I am here for ten months out of the year.”

4. She’s an Empath

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,November,01,,2022:,Nicole,Kang,At,TheShutterstock

Kang goes out of her way to be kind to newcomers. “I am such an empath; when we have guest stars, I can feel their energy,” she says. “I like to say, you are doing incredible. If we have time and a lot of scenes together I definitely make an effort to rehearse with them. My favorite part is when you feel the trust and you can feel entitled in a good way to the space and the scene. Maybe you can try something or something comes about that you didn’t anticipate— it’s like lightning in a bottle—that’s what we are trying to capture.”

5. Championing Diversity

Kang is proud of her Korean heritage, and representing it on screen. “Diversity, it’s this beautiful thing,” she says. “It’s this beautiful palette, because, listen, we tell incredible stories, but the people in Gotham, I think that’s a really, really great, exciting thing about it; it goes along with the tempo and the themes of our show in the first place. If we’re going to make another show in Gotham in 2019, 2020, then what are we going to say this time that hasn’t already been said before? The thing is, is that Gotham is made up of a bunch of people, a bunch of different people who have tons of different layered experiences.”

Gen V star London Thor is taking some time to rest and relax at the beach during her time off. Thor, who plays Jordan Li on the show, shared pictures of herself relaxing on the sand in a blue bikini and jean shorts, about to tuck into some takeout from trendy Los Angeles grocery store Erewhon. “Jorts and derps,” reads her tongue-in-cheek caption. “U so cute,” commented her Gen V costar Jaz Sinclair. Here’s what Thor does to stay active and still have fun, and what she thinks of her character on Gen V.

1. Sharing the Role

The Creative Coalition Presents NextGen: The Fifty Night - Arrivals London ThorGetty Images

Thor plays a character who switches in between genders, and is also played by Derek Luh. “It’s been really easy sharing a character with Derek,” Thor says. “When we first met, it was kinda like an immediate click of we both had similar thoughts. We both were open to talking about the character and open to each other’s opinions. And I think with that, we just built this character from the ground up… maybe just the fact that we’ve been stranded in Toronto for four months together we managed to just take on each other’s personalities sometimes. You know, our characteristics are pretty similar. It’s been, it’s been great having a partner like that.”

2. Hiking In the Cold

The Creative Coalition's NextGen: The Fifty NightGetty Images

Thor loves hiking, even in freezing cold weather. "When it gets into the 40s and 30s, you can still enjoy your regular outside routines, like walking, running, and even cycling," says Dr. Adam Tenforde, an assistant professor of sports medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard-affiliated Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. "In colder temperatures your heart doesn't have to work as hard, you sweat less, and expend less energy, all of which means you can exercise more efficiently."

3. Gone Camping

Opening Night Red Carpet For "Inherit The Wind"Getty Images

Thor goes camping in California hot spots like Joshua Tree. “Camping provides a host of benefits,” says Christina Pay, Extension Assistant Professor at Utah State University. “Simply put, camping is good for you, both in body and mind. Benefits include relationship building, opportunities to learn and develop new skills, unplugging and getting away from screens, connecting with nature, stress reduction, and increasing physical fitness. The fitness benefits of camping are well documented. Research suggests that physical activity in the outdoors and feelings of connection to nature enhance psychological health and well-being.”

4. Surfing USA

The Creative Coalition Presents NextGen: The Fifty Night - Arrivals London ThorGetty Images

Thor loves surfing when she gets the chance. “Surfing can definitely be considered a form of interval training which combines short, high intensity bursts of speed with a recovery phase, repeated during exercise training,” says CSUSM professor Dr. Sean Newcomer, part of a team conducting research on the health benefits of recreational surfing. “Many surfers believe that while surfing is fun, it’s not necessarily a viable form of exercise on its own. This information has so far shown that surfing is very beneficial to the cardiovascular system and is a great part of a healthy lifestyle.”

5. Boxing Workouts

London.Thor.5London Thor/Instagram

Thor does boxing workouts at a boxing gym. “Boxing requires you to fully concentrate on the task at hand,” says boxing coach Tanya Morgan. “To box well, you need to be able to switch off from the outside world and be 100% focused. Boxing is fast, furious and above all fun, leaving little room in your head for anything else. Being able to avert daily stresses can help you to truly take time out, giving you a fresh perspective to better deal with problems, or things that are bothering you.”

Abbey Lee doesn’t just bring effortless beauty to the beach—she swears by a holistic approach to staying in top shape. From nourishing her skin with natural products to keeping her wellness in check no matter where she is, the model-turned-actress has mastered the art of looking and feeling her best. Whether she’s jet-setting for a photoshoot or indulging in a self-care day, her routine is all about balance, hydration, and a little bit of luxury. If you’re looking for simple but effective ways to elevate your beauty and wellness game, Abbey’s go-to tips are worth stealing.

She Uses Natural Products

Lee shared her wellness secrets in an interview with Russh. She says that she likes to use natural products on her skin. “When it comes to beauty, I always avoid products with unnatural chemicals whenever possible. I like simple, earthy stuff. The skin is the largest organ of the body and people can forget that and be reckless about what they smother it in.”

She Prioritizes Her Health

Lee makes sure to prioritize her health. She tells Russh that her dad advised her to have this attitude. “My dad has always reminded me that above all, health comes first. And he means all forms. Mental health, physical health, emotional health, etc. So, he always encouraged me to invest in my health and try to heal pain so I could cope with the other parts of life.”

She Loves Coconut Oil & Olive Oil

Lee shared her favorite body skincare products with ELLE. “I use coconut oil in the shower. I have dry skin so I lather it on while I’m in the shower and the hot water and towel dry gets rid of the excess but leaves enough to let sink in. I can’t get enough of the summer smell! I also love hot baths. I pour about a cup of olive oil in there—it’s heavenly! You come out feeling super silky and smelling like Italy!”

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Lee shared her skincare routine in an interview with ELLE. “I always change things up with my skin routine, but at the moment I use an Aesop Facial Scrub a few times a week, Witch Hazel as a toner, and a gorgeous moisturizer from Lush,” she says. “On the days that I don’t exfoliate, I use an Aesop face cleanser—trying to keep it all as natural as I can. Most of the time, I don’t wash my face more than once a day.”

She Takes Care Of Her Skin While Traveling

Lee makes sure to stay consistent with skincare. Even while she’s traveling. Lee shared her tips for skincare while traveling in her ELLE interview. “I’m a sucker for a facial and try to have one every now and then with extractions. I don’t even have a usual place, I just look for somewhere that looks decent in whatever city I’m in. My in-flight routine is pretty simple, I drink a ton of water and moisturize my face before I board. After a big shoot with a lot of makeup I just wash it off before I go to bed. Very simple!”

She Boxes

Lima likes to box to keep herself in shape. She talked about this in an interview with Into The Gloss. “I've been boxing since I was 19 years old. For me, it's great zen time. Some people find that in yoga or meditation, but when I'm boxing, I'm not in my head. That's why I love it. It's also great for my skin and hair because I sweat so much, which gets the circulation going. It's amazing, everyone is like, 'oh my God, your hair'—it's from the workout!”

Lima has amazing hair, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her routine in her Into The Gloss interview. “Once a week, I try to do a hair mask. I take my conditioner and I leave it on for around 30 minutes under my shower cap, but sometimes I'll do 45 minutes. I think the longer the better. And I think it's important to change your conditioner every so often. If I use one continuously, my hair will get used to it, so I keep switching it. Right now I'm using the Victoria's Secret Conditioner—I just used it this morning. I love the smell.”

She Works With A Dermatologist

Lima tells Into The Gloss that she works with a dermatologist to help keep her skin healthy. “My skin is pretty normal. But I travel, so I have to work with wherever I am—we'll shoot in the desert for instance, and my skin will be really dry, and it'll react. But I've always taken care of my skin. Herve Herau is my dermatologist, he's in Paris. He's amazing and I try to see him once a month. When I walk out of his office, I literally look 10 years younger. I'm not joking—that's a fact.”

From every product I've tried, his are the best. I have his Face Cleanser and Gel Lotion, and then two creams, a Gel Cream for daytime and an Extra Rich Cream for night. I wear the light one during the day but I'll take the night cream and put it under my eyes. It's really amazing. If I’m on a plane I bring my Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I love that mist.”

The Dogpound gym shared this video on Instagram of Lima doing different exercises. In it, she is seen using battle ropes. NASM states that these exercises have a lot of health benefits. “Battle Rope training allows for safe and effective ways to train force production in all three planes of motion, as an integral part of any well-rounded strength and conditioning program. If you are looking for a tool that recruits multiple core musculature in movements, then the Battle Rope is that tool. High to moderate levels of activation have been found in obliques, erector spinae, and gluteus medius (Calatayud, 2015).”
