Haley Cavinder is an extremely successful basketball player. She and her twin sister, Hanna, are also social media and fitness influencers. They even have their own fitness program. Cavinder recently enjoyed a trip to Santa Lucia with her boyfriend, and shared some highlights on Instagram. In it, she and her boyfriend spent time at the beach and on a boat. She captioned the post, “All is well.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Haley Cavinder stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Plays Basketball

Naturally, basketball is the main way Cavinder stays fit. According to Ontherightpath.org, basketball has a lot of health benefits. “Basketball involves aerobic exercise, promoting heart and lung health, and enhancing cardiovascular function. Regular participation in basketball helps burn calories, contributing to healthy weight management and reducing the risk of obesity.”

2. She Golfs

Basketball isn’t the only sport Cavinder enjoys. She also likes to play golf. Cavinder shared these three photos and one video of herself on the course. She captioned the post, “Drive for show, putt for dough.” Keiser University states that golf has a lot of health benefits. “One of the most significant health benefits of playing golf is its positive impact on cardiovascular health. A typical round of golf involves walking several miles, especially if the player opts to forgo a golf cart and carries their clubs. This low-impact aerobic exercise increases heart rate and improves blood circulation, promoting cardiovascular fitness. Regular golfing can help reduce the risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, and enhance the body’s ability to utilize oxygen efficiently, leading to an overall improvement in your health.”

3. She Strength Trains

Cavinder and her twin share a lot of their workouts on their joint Instagram. One thing they like to do is strength train. In this video, the twins and their mom are seen doing upper body workouts with weights. New Mexico State University reports that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Regular strength training lowers the risk of having limitations in daily activities due to a lack of muscular fitness. These daily activities might include carrying children or groceries, climbing up and down stairs, moving furniture or heavy boxes, engaging in sporting activities or hiking, and even standing for long periods of time.”

4. She Works Out With Others

As you can see from the previous post, Cavinder likes to hit the gym with others. The CDC reports that working out with a loved one has a lot of benefits. “When you work out with a partner, you’re likely to: 1. Feel more motivated. When you and your buddy encourage each other, you’ll work harder (and get better results!). And there’s nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. 2. Be more adventurous. It’s easier to try new things with a buddy. You may just find an activity you love, one that feels more like fun and less like a workout. 3. Be more consistent. When someone else is counting on you to show up, you won’t want to let them down.”

5. She Works Her Lower Body

Cavinder, and her twin, don’t skip leg day. They shared this video of themselves doing lower body workouts on their Instagram. In it, they are seen doing squats with weights, side leg lifts with weights, and hamstring curls. They captioned the post, “Mondays are 4 the GLUTESS. Make sure to join the waitlist in our bio for our 6 week program launching soon 🫶🏋️‍♀️💞”

2. She Hydrates

The girls also prioritize hydration, maintaining that they start the day by drinking “water by itself.” They “chug water right when we wake up,” and continue hydrating throughout the day. Overall “good protein, veggies, carbs” are a big part of their diet. They try and “focus on things that make our body feel good on the court, off the court and just overall throughout our whole life.”

4. She Counts Steps

“Another healthy habit that we try to do, even after a game, after anything, is to get a workout in get your body moving. Like I just love to move my body even like on an active rest day,” the girls revealed in their video. “I always try to get my 10,000 steps. It's not only good like physically but mentally. Like it's something that's really important. And I think like even just going outside, like moving, seeing the sunlight, like seeing the sunlight, like it just like helps and brings serotonin into your life.”

5. They Exercise

Chanelle Hayes, the Big Brother star and socialite, has been open about her journey with her body, specifically when it comes to losing weight. She just showed off her impressive weight loss in a recent Instagram post. In the photo, Hayes combined a series of shots of her wearing a bathing suit over the years. In each photo, her body looks different, and she accompanied the post with the words, “Bodies change, it’s normal.” Hayes captioned the post, “Before and after.” Read on to see 5 ways Chanelle Hayes stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Doesn’t Weigh Herself

While Hayes is living a healthy lifestyle, weight loss is not necessarily her main goal. She tells Closer Online that she doesn’t own a scale or weigh herself when she’s doing different things. She says that this helps her stay focused on being healthy. “I don’t weigh myself now because I’m working out, so I know I’m putting on muscle, which weighs more,” she explains.

2. She Believes In Balance

Hayes is all about living a healthy lifestyle, and that doesn’t include restricting diets and plans. She tells Closer Online that she believes in a balanced diet, and that this mindset has helped her stay healthy. "I’ve done every diet under the sun but, this time, it hasn’t been about following an army regime where I’m starving myself to become skinny overnight. I wanted to have long-lasting results, so it’s been more about changing my mindset towards food and having a balanced way of living – even if that takes longer to initially shift the weight. I’m thrilled with the results. I’m healthy but I’m not missing out on enjoying parties, or stopping myself from having treats when I want to."

3. She’s Consistent With Her Workouts

While Hayes doesn’t believe in restricting herself when it comes to food, she does try to avoid binge eating. She says that one of the ways she does this is by consistently working out. “I’m one of those people who eats everything if they’re not training. When I don’t go to the gym, it’s like a free pass for me to binge,” she says to Closer Online.

4. She Got Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Hayes received gastric surgery in 2020 after gaining weight. She says to The Sun that the procedure has helped her eat better and live a healthier life. “I feel satiated and full after such small amounts now I never feel like I’m missing out because that gnawing hunger of being on a diet isn’t there," she explained.

5. She Got Hair Transplant Surgery

Hayes is open about the procedures that she has had done, including hair transplant surgery. She writes on Instagram that she got this done to help with her self-confidence, and to reduce the stigma on cosmetic surgery. “It’s so taboo for some reason for females to discuss hair loss and so I wanted to be clear, open and transparent about the whole thing,” she wrote. “Would I love to have a long, thick head of shiny hair naturally? Yes, but I don’t. So I am working with what I have. And getting a FUT method hair transplant was the first step to looking feminine, becoming more confident and gaining back some of my lost self esteem that ran away with my hair!”

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Taylor,Hill,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

"I used to hate my body, and I thought I was really ugly," Taylor told Byrdie. "I was so not confident, and becoming a model—and especially a VS girl—has changed my perspective on who I am. It's kind of given me a new light: You're beautiful no matter what you look like, no matter what body type you have. I always envied curvy women because I wasn't that. The grass is always greener, and you'll always have to deal with that. But being a model has helped me embrace my body type. It's hard on some girls, but it actually helped me a lot."

2. Taylor Hill Exercises

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Taylor,Hill,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Taylor mixes up her workouts. “I do mainly light weight-lifting and squats when I’m in the gym. It’s important to switch things up so that your body doesn’t get too used to anything.”

3. Taylor Hill Doesn’t Believe in Diets

Stop,Dieting,Red,Sign,With,Sun,BackgroundShutterstock

“I actually don’t stick to any diets, but I eat everything in moderation. Plus, exercising regularly is very important,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. Female,Personal,Trainer,,With,His,Back,Facing,The,Camera,,LookingShutterstock

Taylor enlists the help of a personal trainer to achieve her goals. "I have to use a trainer because I cheat in classes," she told Byrdie. "I'm a natural-born cheater. I cheat on everything—I cheated on tests (don't tell my teachers), I cheat workouts, I eat whatever I want! So I just needed someone to watch me and make sure I'm doing it correctly. When I have an hour, I want to give everything I have to that hour, like, really work out.”

6. Sara Sampaio Does Pilates

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Sara,Sampaio,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Sara likes an amped up version of pilates. “I've been doing a lot of SLT. It’s like a really intense Pilates with a machine. I’ve noticed with my body that small movements have done more for my body than the boot camps. My body moves better when it’s very focused on small movements that elongate your body and your muscles,” she told The Cut. “I tried SLT for the first time five or six years ago when I first got to New York. It was really hard, it was too hard. Then I was training for the Victoria’s Secret show last year and gave it another try. I really liked it, it was not as hard. I think they had changed it a little bit. I could actually go through a whole class without feeling like I was going to break down.”

7. Shanina Shaik Works Out with Personal Trainers

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Shanina,ShaikShutterstock

It’s extremely motivating to follow their workouts, even from the comfort of home. I usually gravitate toward workouts that incorporate a lot of Pilates. My favorite moves are making small circles and stretching your legs with ankle bands. Lastly, I like to use a resistance band, pointing your feet and pulsing up and down; it’s great for the inner and outer thighs,” Shanina revealed to Hum Nutrition.

8. Kelsey Merritt Does Two a Days

New,York,,Ny,-,February,05:,Kelsey,Merritt,Attends,TheShutterstock

Kelsey works out not once, but twice a day. "The past few months I've been working out everyday—and sometimes twice a day. This past week I did pilates, if I feel good then I'll do 30 minutes of cardio. I always make sure to put cardio in my workouts. I'll do SoulCycle, then I'll go on the treadmill. I will do strength training with a personal trainer at Dogpound,” she told Elle.

9. Jasmine Tookes Balances Diet with Exercise

New,York,,Ny,-,November,13:,Model,Jasmine,Tookes,WalksShutterstock

I've picked up more fish, greens, and lentils." Her diet involves "a lot of vegetables and fish, not much meat, minimal dairy,” she told Byrdie. "I just feel better when I eat that way."

11. Alessandra Ambrosio Allows Herself to Indulge

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Alessandra,Ambrosio,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Alessandra used to go to extremes to stay in shape, but avoids dieting now. "After having Anja I only had three months to lose all the weight [before doing the 2008 Victoria's Secret show] and I was on this 1,200-calorie-a-day meal-delivery service that I hated. I couldn't do that again," she told The Edit. "Whenever I start to diet, everything goes downhill,” she added. “So if I want a little bite of dark chocolate on a plane or a cocktail with friends on the weekend, I'll have it. In fact, I'll drink a glass of red wine with dinner most nights, and two or three times a week I'll have a cup of tea and a cupcake with Anja, who's as obsessed with red velvet as I am.”

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Kelly,Gale,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

She also eats clean.“My diet generally consists of fresh, organic produce (all veggies, nuts, seafood, occasional eggs and lots of raw vegan dark chocolate) and superfoods everyday such as chlorella and spirulina. If I ever need an immune booster I have tons of ginger, tumeric and baobab,” she said. It “takes a while to get used to healthier foods if you’re used to eating crap, or if you have been brought up eating a certain kind of way,” she admitted. “To me, almost everything clean and healthy taste good and you can always play around and make it taste even better.” Another way she sets herself up for healthy eating success is preparation. “When I’m traveling, I always bring a big variety of healthy snacks and superfoods – usually opting for vegetables and fish or seafood when ordering food or on set.”

14. Izabel Goulart Juices

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Izabel,GoulartShutterstock

Izabel drinks a lot of juices. “The first thing I do in the morning is prepare fresh juice. I have 15 different recipes, which I drink for 15 days consecutively. Then I repeat the recipes from the beginning for the next 15 days of the month. My juices include fruit, vegetables, leafy greens, and even grains. After a workout, I have a protein drink and always keep a protein bar in my bag," she told Vogue.

After I had my son [Phyllon, age 3½], I started doing ballet. It makes you long and lean—it’s like the Pilates look.”

I just enjoyed the day.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Doesn’t Compare Herself To Others

Hayes is all about body-positivity and self-love. In this Instagram post, she talked about not wanting to compare herself to others, especially when it comes to social media. “I thought I would post this to try to remind you guys that SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT REAL and things are so easily edited so please try not to stress and compare yourself or your life. BE KIND TO YOUR MIND. It’s something I have to remind myself daily because I subconsciously compare the chosen snapshot of life on people’s social media to my whole life warts and all. It’s unkind of me to do it to myself, but I do.”

2. She Does Activities With Her Kids

Hayes has two children, and she revealed in this Instagram post that she is doing a lot of physical activities with them. “One of the best things since my #gastricsleeve is being able to move more and spend more quality time with my boys,” she wrote in the caption. “In the left pic, I sat sweating due to my excess body weight watching my son play football. In the right, I had just beaten him at a race of the Monsal trail, so I was sweating for the right reasons! Last weekend I took the kids trampolining, next week we are going swimming. None of these activities were something I could have done before. Partly, because I felt so much shame I didn’t want to embarrass them but partly because I knew I would be in agony for days afterwards.”

3. She Got Gastric Sleeve

Hayes opened up about her decision to receive gastric sleeve surgery in an interview with New! Magazine. She says that she did a lot of research before choosing to have the procedure done. “I tried every single diet there is but I was completely out of control. If I was abusing alcohol or drugs the way I abused junk food, somebody would have intervened and done something about it. I felt as though there need to be more of a medical intervention, so I went away and spent a year researching it.”

4. She Eats Healthy

Hayes makes sure to eat healthy. She even shares some of her favorite meals on Instagram. She captioned this photo, “Grilled fillet of salmon with a low carb salad. Plenty of healthy, necessary fats in this one. Plus it’s absolutely gorgeous.” Hayes also posted this photo with the caption, “Early dinner for me: chicken breast, spinach, rocket, watercress, pine nuts, feta, tomatoes, green beans, lemon juice. Summery and beaut.”

5. She Enjoys Working Out

Hayes opened up about how life has changed since her surgery in this Instagram post. She says that she enjoys working out more. “Exercise is different now. I’ve always enjoyed working out (I’m actually a qualified PT, crazy as this may seem) but I actually feel proud to exercise and improve my body after all the junk I’ve been feeding it all these years. It’s my way of saying ‘hey body, I’m sorry for abusing you...here’s an olive branch’ (or a dumbbell).”

I love it, so I'm going to put it up so that you know what it is, but that's what it is. That is the brow lifting that people are talking about. That's all I got."

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve found that if every week I do something different it tricks my muscles into not getting used to doing any one thing. I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”

She Builds Confidence

Love what you look like right now – and remember I said it 10 years from now because it’s the greatest gift I can give.’”

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
