Halle Berry In Bikini Says “We Don’t Have To Get Old”

Halle Berry recently turned 59, but you’d never tell from looking at her. The actress looks the same way she did when she appeared in Monster’s Ball. Halle recently went on a beach vacation with her boyfriend, Van Hunt, and shared highlights on Instagram. In them, she wore a black bikini and wrap, showing off her amazing body. Halle captioned the post, “We have to get older, but we don’t have to get old.” How does Halle Berry keep her figure looking bikini ready? Here are 5 of her diet and exercise secrets.
She Sets Fitness Goals
Halle shares a lot of fitness tips on Instagram. In the caption of this post, she revealed that she sets fitness goals for herself. “There’s no better feeling than setting a goal and smashing it. One of my goals for #BruisedTheMovie? Ripped Abs – and today? I finally got them, and it feels unbelievable! This #FitnessFriday, I encourage you guys to set your bar. What is your fitness goal? She Does Planks

When it comes to core workouts, Halle doesn’t do things like crunches. Instead, she turns to planks. Halle talked about the impact of this exercise to Women’s Health. “One abs move I do incorporate into my workouts pretty often is planks. I never did planks back in the day, but they’ve made a huge difference for my core strength and definition. Sometimes, I’ll just hold a plank for as long as I can. My abs start to ache first, but pretty soon my entire body feels like it’s on fire.”
She Stretches

Halle makes sure to stretch after working out. She talked about the importance of this in the caption of this Instagram post. “After I work out, it’s important for me to stretch and lengthen. Fitness is not just about running, lifting and punching. For me, being athletic and super fit is also about being still, stretching and breathing. Including stretching in my fitness program helps my muscles stay long, limber, improves my mobility and range of motion and, most importantly, helps me avoid injuries.”
She Boxes

Halle loves boxing to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo of herself sparring with a trainer on Instagram. “It’s #FitnessFriday and Boxing is name of the game this week,” Halle wrote in the caption. “#Boxing is still considered one of the best full body workouts. You’ll sculpt every muscle and burn major calories and fat. It dramatically decreases stress levels, develops hand-eye coordination and builds confidence and discipline. But most importantly…you’ll never stop learning.”
She Loves Salads

Halle makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She works with trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, to help her eat healthy. One food Halle eats a lot of is salad. “A lot of the time she will have a steak with a big green salad and not butter lettuce, it has to be dark greens like spinach and kale,” Peter said to HollywoodLife. “Or she will have shredded chicken over a dark green leafy salad.
