Halle Berry In Swimsuit Vacations In Joshua Tree, Enjoys “Desert Days”

Halle Berry is currently vacationing in Joshua Tree, and she’s enjoying the sunshine. She just shared some photos of her trip on Instagram. In them, Halle posed by her hotel, with the desert scenery in the background. She wore a black one-piece swimsuit with white straps and a large black sun hat. Halle’s amazing figure was on display in the post. She captioned it, “Desert days, windows down, music up, nowhere to be but here.” How did Halle Berry get her body ready for swimsuit season? Here are 5 of her secrets.

She Takes Care Of Her Gut

One of Halle’s biggest health secrets is prioritizing her gut health. “Everything stems from your gut,” she explains in an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR. “As I’ve said, all of your other organs become healthier when your gut is healthy and your microbiome is balanced. And when your gut’s healthy, you also metabolize food better, especially sugar.”

She Eats Healthy

Since Halle has diabetes, she has to be careful about what foods she chooses to eat. Luckily, this is easy for her to do. “Wherever I am, I just try to find the foods I’ve become accustomed to eating,” Halle says to Harper’s BAZAAR. “And I’ve been a pretty healthy eater for many, many years because of my diabetes. And now that’s become second nature to me.”

She Intermittent Fasts

Another way Halle keeps herself healthy is by intermittent fasting. “I fast until 2 p.m,” Halle tells Harper’s BAZAAR. “I usually eat between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and then I’m done for the day, which is the same when I’m traveling or working.” According to John Hopkins Medicine, intermittent fasting has a lot of benefits. “Intermittent fasting improved blood pressure and resting heart rates as well as other heart-related measurements.”

She Packs Workout Gear With Her

Halle may be on vacation right now, but she will still be working out. She tells Harper’s BAZAAR that she packs workout equipment when she travels. “I also have so many things now that I can take with me as far as working out when I travel, all sorts of bands and light weights that are easy to pack and use when I don’t have access to a gym. So much of my favorite kinds of exercise can be done in the house or in a hotel room.”

She Lifts Weights

One thing Halle does to keep herself fit is lift weights. “Right now, I’m trying to put muscle mass on,” she explains to HELLO! Magazine. “So I lift weights now and I never used to lift weights before. I only did my own body weight and cardio like cycling and running. Now I just do pretty much boring – what I find boring – but it’s necessary for this stage of life. Really just heavier weights than I’ve ever lifted, and I do it probably two days a week at least.”
