Academy Award winning actress, Halle Berry, has consistently been considered one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. And her recent Instagram post proves it. She shared a photo of herself outside, wearing a tank top, gold jewelry, a patterned shirt, and a bandana. Berry captioned the post, “Mood.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Halle Berry stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Works With A Trainer

Berry works with trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, to help her stay in shape. She opened up about working with him on Instagram. “With his help, I have learned so much about fitness and nutrition," she said in her caption. "I'm excited to share it with all of you. He's taught me boxing, self defense, and much more. Not only am I in the best shape of my life, but I can actually defend myself and most importantly . . . my children! As a woman there is nothing more empowering."

2. She Makes Wellness A Priority

Berry opened up about her wellness in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She says that she makes her health a priority. "Being diagnosed with diabetes—that was an aha moment that just changed my whole life. When I realized that I had a disease that I could actually manage by my diet and exercise, and live longer and stay healthier? That's when I got really committed to making fitness and exercise and diet a real part of my life."

3. She Takes Care Of Her Gut

Gut,Health,Lettering,Sign,Made,With,Colorful,Background,And,WhiteShutterstock

Berry said in her Harper’s Bazaar interview that taking care of her gut is extremely important. “Everything stems from your gut. As I've said, all of your other organs become healthier when your gut is healthy and your microbiome is balanced. And when your gut's healthy, you also metabolize food better, especially sugar. We all need to metabolize sugar better to get it in and out of our bodies as quickly as we can, because we all know some of the unhealthy effects of sugar.”

4. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Halle.BerryHalle Berry/Instagram

When it comes to fitness, Berry believes in doing a variety of things. She shared her workout routine with InStyle. “Over the past few years, I went from training for John Wick 3 to my upcoming film and directorial debut BRUISED. Some days I'd work on strength and cardio and others I'd do yoga and stretching, all while I did a few hours of martial arts training each day. For me, it's been important not to overstress my body. Taking cold hot showers has been a good recovery ritual.”

5. She Takes Care Of Her Mental Health

Berry makes sure to take care of her mental health, and shared her favorite ways to do so with InStyle. “I've also found that taking care of my mental health has been crucial during these odd times. I just launched my Journal on Joy at rē·spin which is part of my bedtime routine. It is a space to record memories that make you smile and helps me focus on positivity and gratitude. Also reading self-help books on ways to stay grounded and centered during this time has been widely helpful and inspirational.”

Actress Halle Berry has been considered one of the most stunning women in Hollywood since the beginning of her career. And she’d probably remain that way even after the moon came crashing to Earth. That’s the premise of her new movie—Moonfall—and this week, she hit the premiere in a little black dress, showing off legs for days. How does she stay so fit? 1. She Doesn’t Let Her Age Define Her

Los Angeles Premiere Of "Moonfall" - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

While Berry might look ageless, she says to WhoWhatWear.com that her age does not matter or define her. She also encourages other women to adapt this approach, especially because men don’t let their ages define them. "Age is just a number, and I have never felt defined by it," Berry says. "It is a bit frustrating that people want to place so much emphasis on the age of women. Somehow, it feels a bit degrading, like it puts us at a disadvantage. Men get older, and they get sexier, but women just get old. I think that the older we get, the better we become. We just have to convince ourselves of that fact because I absolutely believe it to be true!"

2. This is Why She is Committed to Wellness

"Being diagnosed with diabetes when I was 19—that was an aha moment that just changed my whole life," said Berry to BAZAAR.com. "When I realized that I had a disease that I could actually manage by my diet and exercise, and live longer and stay healthier? That's when I got really committed to making fitness and exercise and diet a real part of my life."

3. She Loves Martial Arts

"Moonfall" Premiere In Partnership With LexusJon Kopaloff/Getty Images for Lionsgate

For her Netflix movie Bruised, which she also directed, Berry told POPSUGAR that she did six different styles of martial arts, as well; as her usual yoga and Pilates “. . all of these disciplines I had to learn elements of in order to present myself, and to have one believe that I really was this world class fighter that had been doing it probably for most of my life. So I pushed myself harder than I think I've ever pushed myself. I know I trained more hours, probably six days a week, about four, five hours a day, for at least a good year in my life."

4. She Believes in the Power of Fitness at Home

Berry founded the wellness site Rē•spin. "During this pandemic over at Rē•spin and also with my trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, with our Fitness Fridays [on Instagram], we've been really trying to inspire people to work out at home," Berry told BAZAAR.com. "We've been telling them that you don't have to have a big membership to stay healthy, and stay well, and stay fit and strong."

5. She is Trying to Dioversify the Wellness Space

Los Angeles Premiere Of "Moonfall" - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/WireImage

"I don't know if we've always been provided ways that we can stay fit and be well within a means that's affordable. I think for so long people thought, 'You have to have a trainer. You have to have a gym membership. You have to have all this equipment. You have to eat certain meals. That costs a certain amount,'" said Berry to Harper’s. "I think we've talked ourselves out of being fit, sometimes, because we think it's something that's unobtainable or not affordable. I do like FitOn for that reason, because we are learning that it is affordable, it is manageable, and anybody can do it. You just have to have the will and the desire. And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people have to do."

We had a knowing that it would maybe, because it was in a Bond movie, become an iconic situation … something that would live a very, very long time.” Berry said filming in the bikini was difficult. “The biggest acting challenge I had was to make it look like the water was warm and I was having a grand old time when I was freezing my butt off,” she said. 1. She’s “Addicted” to Working Out

27th Annual Critics Choice Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Halle is fueled by exercise. “Kicking, punching and pushing myself to my limits has always been a great, healthy release. Like men, women have a lot of pent-up anger and angst and sadness. I needed a healthy way to get this stuff out of my body. Sweating and working out is fuel for me. I’m also addicted to those feel-good endorphins. Sometimes, you’ve got to hit some s---!” she told AARP in a recent interview.

2. She Embraces Aging

Halle embraces all of her 56 years. “We’re all going to get older. Our skin is going to shrivel up and we’re going to look different. I see things changing with my face and body, but I’ve never put all my eggs in that basket,” she told AARP. “I’ve always known that beauty is deeper than the physical body you’re walking around in. That’s going to fade, and I refuse to become someone who just tries to hold onto a youthful face and not embrace what’s most important about being beautiful — how you live your life, how you give back to others, how you connect to people, how you strengthen your mind, body and soul and nourish yourself, how you give in a meaningful way of yourself. The most beautiful people have something radiating inside,” she continued. “Women are told that when we reach a certain number, we’re no longer valuable. I believe the opposite. Society should look at us as jewels as we get older. Because the older women get, the more formidable we are.”

3. She Exercises Almost Every Single Day

Halle works out six days a week, giving her body a rest on Sunday. She regularly works out with trainer Peter Lee Thomas. Their workouts involve sets of weighted lunges, stairs with weights, squats, and plyometrics like jumps with weighted balls, sprawls, and Turkish get-ups. She also does situps and crunches while hanging upside down. “Only something severe even puts a dent in my abs. I’ve had two children, so the skin is just looser there. So, I have to fill that area with muscle,” she told Women’s Health.

4. Her Diet Is Healthy

Halle starts the day with a mix of Bulletproof coffee, almond milk, ghee, protein powder, and collagen. For lunch, which she will eat around 2 p.m. because she does intermittent fasting, she’ll eat a lamb chop or rib eye with brussels sprouts, green beans, spinach, beets, or homemade cauliflower rice. For dinner, which she eats before 6, she will eat a salad with protein.

5. She Does Acupuncture

Halle prioritizes self-care. One of the things she relies on is regular acupuncture sessions, which help her concentrate and regulate her “out-of-whack hormones.” "Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management," says the Mayo Clinic.

It was definitely not a cold and frosty holiday season for Halle Berry, who spent the run up to Christmas in intense heat out in the desert. Berry, 57, shared a picture of herself posing by rocks in the sand, wearing a black one-piece swimsuit. “Couldn’t hide these rocks 😉,” she captioned the post. Berry is diligent about taking care of herself—here’s what her approach to health and wellness looks like, inside and out.

1. Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent,Fasting,Word,On,Notepad,With,Clock,,Fork,And,Knife,Shutterstock

Berry (still!) swears by intermittent fasting for health and energy. “The first thing I take in the morning is vitamin A-D-K, fish oils, and collagen in my coffee,” she tells Marie Claire. “Then, I take either Pendulum Metabolic Daily or Glucose Control supplements. Their probiotics have been really helping me heal some gut issues that I've had. I stopped eating breakfast over 20 years ago. Everybody needs to break their fast from the night at different times, and so I've learned to really listen to my own body and not follow those conventional thoughts that, ‘Oh, breakfast is the best meal.’ The best meal is whenever you break fast. And for me, that's around 2:00 p.m. every day. I start off my morning with one cup of coffee, and that's all I’ll have until 2 p.m. And I use hazelnut, like milked hazelnuts instead of any kind of milk, and I do a sugar substitute, and that gets me through.”

2. Yoga and Pilates

Berry works out in the mornings after the school run. “I workout usually every day, or four days a week, sometimes five, depending, but usually four days a week,” she tells Marie Claire. “My fitness routine changes. Some days it's more cardiovascular-heavy. Some days it's working with light weights. Sometimes it's calisthenics, sometimes it's yoga, sometimes it's Pilates. I just recently got a Pilate machine at home, which I love, love, love. Sometimes it's that. I just try to mix it up. I think our bodies get used to the same exercises. So for me, it's always been important to do different things all the time.”

3. Yes, She Has Cheat Days

Berry lets herself indulge in non-healthy treats now and then. “I can enjoy a bag of salt and vinegar chips and a Diet Coke with the best of them,” she tells The Kit. “It’s important to have cheat days—days when you allow yourself to fall off the wagon. That’s what helps me stay on my journey: not feeling pressure to be perfect, but to simply do my best.”

4. Early Dinner and Red Wine

Berry closes her eating window four hours after breaking her fast. “I eat my last meal around 5:30 p.m and by 6 p.m., I'm done eating,” she tells Marie Claire. “So from 2:00 to 6:00 are the times that I eat food. When I'm winding down, I usually start with a glass of red wine. I found these wines by Dry Farms. They're a natural wine. They have a low sugar content and they're lower in alcohol, so it makes it an easier drinking wine. Heart disease runs in my family, and so my heart doctor's like, ‘If you can have a glass of a natural red once a day, that's good for heart health.’ So that's something that's not every night, but four times a week.”

5. Achievements Over Beauty

Berry appreciates compliments about her achievements more than her looks, which she feels she can’t take as much credit for. "I probably don't think about it as much as maybe others do, actually,” she tells PEOPLE. “I focus on so many other things in my life. So many other aspects of who I am get way more focus than what my physical self looks like. So it's not something I focus on… I love when someone says, 'You're a great mother,' or, 'You're a talented actress.' Those are the things that I appreciate more, because those are things I work very hard at every day. Physical beauty, I don't have much to do with that. We come here the way we all come here, and it's so subjective. What one thinks is beautiful, one does not. I, personally, don't spend that much time on that part of who I am."

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
