Hayley Kiyoko is a NYT Bestseller thanks to her novel, Girls Like Girls. She’s worked on a collab with @kitty_and_vibe (on Instagram), and has appeared in series and movies like Insidious: Chapter 3, Lemonade Mouth, and Scooby-Doo! film series. Hayley Kiyoko posted a series of photos of her cuddling up to Becca Tilley, captioned “my bae and Ube everything 🌸.” They’re seen crossing a hanging bridge, in the gym, and cuddling up enjoying the outdoors. What else does Hayley do to stay fit, active, and mentally strong? Here’s what we found.


1. She swims

She enjoys spending time in the water. “My summer uniform 💚✨@kitty_and_vibe,” she said on Instagram. while flaunting vibrant yellow swimwear. According to Better Health, “swimming is a healthy activity that you can continue for a lifetime. It is a low-impact activity that has many physical and mental health benefits.

2. She enjoys hiking

She hikes to get some activity into her day. “Been on this hike many times but today Becca and I decided to take a different path we’ve never tried before. Not sure where it was going to lead, we kept going. Sometimes in life it’s safer and easier to take the path already known,” she said. “There’s a lot of fear and unknowns trying something new. Sometimes it can lead to a dead end and you have to turn around. But SOMETIMES, that new path can lead you to a field of yellow flowers everywhere. A super bloom. Blossoming and thriving. And my god, was it worth it,” she said on Instagram.

3. She dances

She likes to dance, moving her body and raising her spirit, getting Becca involved, too. “Hayley tries to teach me a dance: part 1 🆘,” Becca said in a tagged video of Hayley attempting to do fun dance moves. According to Harvard Health Publishing, “the evidence for the health benefits of exercise is indisputable. Physiologic studies have demonstrated that regular activity builds muscle and bone, reduces fat, increases aerobic capacity, lowers blood pressure, and improves the ratio of "good" to "bad" cholesterol. Dance has been shown to have all the benefits of other forms of exercise.

4. She bikes

She gets out on her bike to get some activity into her day. “How it started vs how it’s going. Happy 8 years to GLG 💜🚲I love you all so so much,” she said on Instagram on a video of her riding her bike. According to Better Health, “cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It is also fun, cheap and good for the environment.”

5. She gets outside

Hayley loves spending time in nature and outdoors. “Nature >>>>>” she said on Instagram with photos of her from Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. According to UCDavis Health and studies in the National Library of Medicine, “when we're in urban environments or the office all day, we can experience sensory overload, resulting in tension and mental fatigue. Studies have shown that our minds and bodies relax in a natural setting. This increases feelings of pleasure and can help us concentrate and focus more effectively.”
