Heather Graham is red hot in Italy – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the 54-year-old looks half her age in a string bikini as she poses on the shoreline. “Ricordati che il mare ti sistema l’anima (remember the sea heals the soul) 🌊🧜🏻‍♀️❤️👙🇮🇹💋#italy #liguria, ” she captioned the post. “Clearly you have found it. So where is the fountain of youth?” one of her followers commented. In all seriousness, how does the star make 54 look like 24? Here are all of her top diet, fitness, and self-care tips.

1. Get Your Zen On

Heather’s first tip has to do with mental health: Get your zen on. She is a huge fan of transcendental meditation. “I’m kinda high-strung, so it’s easy to get anxious. But TM calms you down. It helps you find that peaceful place inside yourself – so whenever your life is going a bit crazy, it reminds you how to be really centered,” she told Today. According to the Mayo Clinic, there are many benefits of meditation.

• Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations

• Building skills to manage your stress

• Increasing self-awareness

• Focusing on the present

• Reducing negative emotions

• Increasing imagination and creativity

• Increasing patience and tolerance

• Lowering resting heart rate

• Lowering resting blood pressure

• Improving sleep quality

2. Do Yoga

Heather is also “obsessed” with yoga. “For fun, I would go on a yoga retreat and do four hours of yoga a day," she told Refinery29. Yoga is a great workout for a variety of reasons. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” says Harvard Health. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

3. Do Pilates

Graham also does Pilates. According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

4. Get Plenty of Sleep Sleep

Rest is also key. “I love sleeping," Heather confessed to The Guardian. "When I tell people how much I sleep sometimes, they are horrified. I basically sleep between nine and 12 hours a night." The Sleep Foundation explains that getting enough z’s is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.

5. Take a Walk

Heather makes sure to get her steps in. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
