Heidi Klum is soaking up the sun during the last month of summer – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the supermodel flaunts her amazing figure in a tiny string bikini while vacationing with her husband, Tom Kaulitz. “☀️🐠👙🏝️🍹🥰❤️🔥,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken by him. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Here Is What She Eats in a Day

Klum detailed her diet to Women’s Health UK. For breakfast she might have 3 organic scrambled egg whites with spinach, green peppers, spring onions and parsley, a small bowl of fresh fruit and tea without milk. For lunch, 170g of turkey with 90g basmati rice or 170g quinoa and stir-fried vegetables. Dinner might be 170g of salmon with lemon and garlic and a mixed green salad with broccoli florets and cucumber dressed with 1 tbsp of olive oil. And for dessert, Yogurt, fresh sorbet, or 70% cocoa dark chocolate.

2. Low Carb Diet

“For me, it’s more about food than exercising. I’m not huge on carbs, even though that’s probably one of my favorite foods – French fries, pasta, all that stuff,” she told Vogue Australia. “But I try to stay away from that. I eat pretty healthily. We make smoothies every morning with any kind of fruit and carrots. Not with powders or anything like that.” She also chooses food carefully. “I eat quite a lot,” she previously told site Buro 24/7. “I just eat the right things.” Overall she tries to maintain variety. “Every day we cook something different,” she added to Women’s Health UK.

3. Mixing Up Workouts

When it comes to exercise, you might find Klum hiking, trampolining, yoga, circuit training and tennis. “I don’t really exercise that much,” she confessed. “I don’t think you have to do a lot, but if you do a little bit [regularly], I think that’s important.”

4. Workout Buddies

When it comes to exercise, don’t do it alone! “My best advice,” Klum told Glamour, “is to workout with a buddy. They keep you motivated and get you out of bed.”

5. Running

Running is a big part of Klum’s approach to exercise. “Most women do like a summer season when they get ready for the beach. I don’t do that because I shoot all year round, so nothing really changes for me. I go running two to three times a week,” she told Vogue Australia. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Call it the Benjamin Button effect or the Fountain of Youth, but supermodels over 50 show no signs of slowing down and giving up on their infamous physiques and enviable looks. With solid fitness and diet routines (not to mention a healthy dose of discipline and good habits), models like Christie Brinkley, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Helena Christensen are proof that staying fit after 50 is not only possible but absolutely the norm. Here are 10 supermodels that seem to be aging in reverse.

1. Naomi Campbell

2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsJon Kopaloff/Getty Images

Naomi Campbell, 53, does yoga and Pilates every day, and follows a vegetarian diet. “I just became a vegetarian, and I find it a little hard to figure out what to eat, so I just bring stuff from home,” she says. “I went to this place where they teach you how to take care of your body and clean it inside and out. After that I decided I didn't want to eat pork, chicken, or anything I felt was unhealthy. I never thought I would ever do it. It was just something I decided to do. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I feel lighter and just easier.”

2. Paulina Porizkova

rag & bone Celebrates The Spring CampaignCraig Barritt/Getty Images

Paulina Porizkova, 58, admits staying in shape after menopause isn’t easy. “Staying in shape after menopause takes a lot of frickin' work. Especially when you have wonky hips,” she captioned an Instagram video. “I've had to cut down on my Pilates since I came back for the jungle shooting #beyondtheedge because my hips won't cooperate. What I'm doing instead, for now, is some serious PT. I found an amazing personal trainer at my local Crunch, Shelly, who alternates hip PT with strength training. But because I’ve been doing so much traveling, my results are inconsistent. So, yes, there are drawbacks to aging. One has to work a lot harder on things that were taken for granted. On the outside. On the inside, however, all the hard work already done is finally paying off.”

3. Christy Turlington

EPIX's Bridge And Tunnel Season Two Tribeca Film Festival PremiereCraig Barritt/Getty Images

Christy Turlington, 54, swears by yoga sessions. “I practice yoga almost every day,” she says. “I kind of schedule my life around it to be honest. I don't want to treat it as something that I have to squeeze in. It’s really important, and so having it be the centerpiece of my day is how I try to approach it.”

4. Iman

The Fifteen Percent Pledge Benefit GalaTaylor Hill/WireImage

Iman, 67, enjoys plenty of cardio exercises. “I try to work out every day,” she says. “A lot of walking, jogging, treadmill, jump rope. I have one bad knee, which I injured years and years ago, skiing. That's why I don't like running very much. And treadmills are so boring. Jump rope, if you do a good 10 minutes, it's a difficult cardiovascular workout. I started jump rope after I had my baby eight years ago and I could barely do three minutes. And I thought I was fit!”

5. Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford, 57, loves pole dancing classes and anything that gets her outdoors. "Once a week, I try to go on a hike with a friend so I combine exercise and girlfriend time—it's the best multitasking," she says. "I try to get 20 minutes of cardio at least three times a week. Then I do anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour of old school lunges, weights, squats, and bicep curls—it's just stuff that I learned 30 years ago."

6. Christie Brinkley

2021 FN Achievement AwardsTaylor Hill/Getty Images

Christie Brinkley, 69, loves running. “As far as exercise goes, everyone always asks if I use the Total Gym and yes, I really do,” she says. “But I also might go to a spin class or work with weights. I would say running is my favorite way to sweat, but I’m not really supposed to do that anymore because of injuries… Some days the only thing I can get in is a seven-minute run on the Total Gym. Then while I’m brushing my teeth, I’m doing leg lifts. When I’m drying my hair, I do all kinds of squats.”

7. Helena Christensen

Helena Christensen, 54, loves to maintain strong muscle. “I do boxing and conditioning three times a week and yoga twice a week,” she says. “They keep my body strong, firm and toned. I started enjoying working out when I began to understand the anatomical aspect of it and learned how to recruit muscle groups. My favorite breakfast is porridge cooked with milk and topped off with banana, brown sugar and a big lump of melting butter in the middle.”

8. Kate Moss

Prince's Trust Gala 2023 Hosted By Edward EnninfulDave Kotinsky/Getty Images

Kate Moss is just six months shy of 50 and in the best shape of her life. “I reached a point in my life where I wanted more balance,” she says. “I started meditating and changing the way I live. I wanted to be healthier and more grounded. I'm a firm believer in taking a holistic approach to beauty which includes exercise, my diet and, of course, great products. I start the day with 20 minutes of meditation and follow it by practicing yoga poses or Pilates exercises. I enjoy the strength they give my body."

9. Claudia Schiffer

Claudia Schiffer, 52, loves staying active, especially if that means she gets to enjoy the fresh air. “I love going for long walks in the countryside with my dogs,” she says. “But, recently, I’ve started working out with my girlfriends, doing everything from cardio to yoga or tennis. Every day, we do something new, which makes it fun. I’ve also started doing online workouts and going on the treadmill while watching Gilmore Girls.”

10. Eva Herzigová

2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Eva Herzigová, 50, follows a vegetarian diet. “I mean, I’m very active, I have three boys, but with COVID, not moving much for such a long time, you lose your muscle mass,” she says. “I feel like I need to exercise, so we have a dog and I go for a bike ride in the park every morning. I’m not pushing it but already the idea of exercise makes me sweat because I haven’t done it for so long. I’m more an advocate of the philosophy that it’s all about what you eat. Food for me is an element of energy and a source of healing, and vice versa: food can be harmful.”

1. Jennifer Lopez

2019 Toronto International Film Festival - "Hustlers" Premiere - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Jennifer Lopez is known for her ageless looks, and shared some of her secrets in an interview with InStyle. "My mom and aunts swear by olive oil to deliver a glow. The hero ingredient in JLo Beauty is a modernized version of olive oil, called the Olive Complex. It's a combination of ingredients derived from extra-virgin olive oil, fermented oil, leaf extract, and squalane. It gives the skin this weightless, all-day hydration, antioxidant protection, and an ageless radiance. And it doesn't smell like salad dressing

2. Salma Hayek

"House Of Gucci" New York PremiereMichael Ostuni/Getty Images

For Salma Hayek, skincare is a daily thing. "I've never gone to bed without washing my face,” she told InStyle. “Never in my life. Even if I'm sick, tired — heck, even if I was drunk! I might forget to take off the dress, the shoes, and the jewelry, but not the makeup. It's second nature."

3. Halle Berry

27th Annual Critics Choice Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

For Halle Berry, skincare is all about keeping her skin a little hydrated. "No matter what age you are, you always look a little better when your skin is a little dewy, not too powdery,” she explained to InStyle. I went through phases where all I wanted to do was be matte and powdered up, but then I found it wasn't the best look for me. Before I do my makeup, I spray my face with rosewater and let that sink in. It keeps my makeup looking very dewy, and I feel like it just makes me look more youthful, alive, and fresh."

4. Sarah Jessica Parker

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - July 14, 2021James Devaney/GC Images

For Sarah Jessica Parker, skincare is all about hydration. "The thing I'm most diligent about is washing my face," she told InStyle. "I say to my husband, 'Oh, I'm so tired, Matthew! I don't want to wash my face.' He's like, 'Why do you need to?' He doesn't get it. I also always wear moisturizer and lip balm."

5. Kelly Ripa

Los Angeles LGBT Center's 49th Anniversary Gala Vanguard AwardsVivien Killilea/Getty Images

TV host and actress, Kelly Ripa broke down her anti-aging secrets to InStyle. She says that each morning, she takes care of her skin. “My day starts around 5 a.m.," she says. "I'm way into jade and rose quartz face rollers, so I put them in a bowl of ice and literally sit there and roll my face until I'm awake. But there's nothing like a good cup of coffee."

6. Gabrielle Union

Premiere Of Disney's "Cheaper By The Dozen"Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images

Gabrielle Union has become known for her amazing skin. She shared some of her tips in an interview with Byrdie. "I do drink a gallon of water a day. I started that in my mid to late 30s. So for a good 10 years, I've been drinking a gallon of water a day. It makes a difference for hair, skin, nails, all of it.”

7. Cindy Crawford

Premiere Of "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" At Hollywood Pantages TheatreRodin Eckenroth/Getty Images

Cindy Crawford has maintained her supermodel good looks into her 50s. She even had her own line of skincare. "It's never too early, and never too late, to start taking care of your skin,” Crawford told Byrdie. “Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh taught me the daytime is about protecting your skin and then the nighttime is about restoring it. I have learned that it's like working out. You work out once—you don't really see a big difference. But if you work out regularly for years, you do. I think skincare is the same way. So I've made taking care of my skin part of my routine.”

8. Padma Lakshmi

Glossier, Cherry Bombe And The Cinema Society Host A Special Screening Of "Taste The Nation" Season TwoDia Dipasupil/Getty Images

TV host Padma Lakshmi is surrounded by food. And this includes her skincare. “The biggest thing for skin, and it doesn't cost a lot of money, is honey,” she revealed to Byrdie. “When I used to travel and I didn't have a lot of money, I would always find honey on the breakfast tray at a hotel or something. You just wash and cleanse your skin, take all the makeup off, pat your skin dry, and then slather honey all over your face, avoiding the delicate eye area. And then you just tap your fingers on your face, almost like you're playing piano on your skin. And what that does is pull out the impurities in your pores without upsetting the pH balance.”

9. Kerry Washington

2022 Baby2Baby Gala Presented By Paul Mitchell - GalaPresley Ann/Getty Images

Kerry Washington shared some of her beauty secrets in an interview with Allure. She says that she loves products with hyaluronic acid, and cites a concealer and gel-cream from Neutrogena as favorites. “It has hyaluronic acid in the center,” she says of the concealer. “So when you use it, you’re moisturizing while you’re covering. It’s great for under-eyes and laugh lines. I have spots like anybody else, particularly from hormones from pregnancy and then nursing. I use concealer to help along the way while they’re fading.” Washington also explains about the gel-cream, “I love moisturizers that do double duty. This one contains hyaluronic acid. I haven’t put any [fillers] on the inside yet, but I’m digging hyaluronic acid on the outside. I think it’s God’s gift to women.”

10. Nicole Kidman

Los Angeles Premiere Of Amazon Studios' "Being The Ricardos" - Red CarpetRich Fury/Getty Images

One of Nicole Kidman’s biggest skincare secrets is sun protection. “I’m so outdoorsy,” she told Byrdie. “I love playing tennis, and I love working out outdoors. I love going for a run and swimming, and I just want to be able to do all of that and protect my skin because I get burnt. So having the access to Neutrogena’s skincare and suncare is fantastic for me. And I know a lot about it because I’ve researched it; I’ve been educated; I have enormous knowledge about it now. I use vitamin C too because that does give you some protection long-term.”

11. Tracee Ellis Ross

CultureCon NYC '22Steven Ferdman/Getty Images

Tracee Ellis Ross broke down her skincare routine to Vogue. My skincare routine is extensive. “At night, if I’ve worn make-up when I’m working, I use Bioderma to remove my make-up. Then I use CosMedix Benefit Clean, which is a bit of a soapy cleanser, and I use it with a mitt. After that I do a Terri Lawton Serum Toner. Usually at night, I’ll apply the Retrouvé Intensive – it’s a really hydrating moisturiser – and then I put Biologique Recherche T.E.W.L. serum over that. In the morning, I use Retrouvé Gentle Cleanser, and while it’s on my face I use the Pause Well-Aging Gua Sha for about three minutes. After I’ve rinsed the cleanser off with a warm washcloth, I put the Biologique oil on my face, and then use the the brand’s Cryo Sticks – they look like little teardrops and I keep them in the fridge. I do about two minutes on my face with them.”

Lais Ribeiro talked about her wellness journey with Byrdie. “I’m a lucky girl that I used to eat everything and nothing would happen and now because I’m getting older, I see the changes. Not because of my body but because of my health, especially with the coronavirus, your immune system...you need to boost it up. I’ve been doing sauna and ice because my fiancé is an athlete and he has such good habits. I also found this new underwater workout, XPT Life, where you put the weights under the water and you do squats, lunges, and jumps—it’s really good for your respiratory system.”

I had never seen my body change so quickly. I like to train and lift weights three to five days a week as I find it the best stress release or go for a boxing session. I used to go to an authentic boxing gym but I just want to sweat and get boxing fitness so now I see a friend if I’m in Nashville or I go to Dogpound in New York. When I travel I always ask if I can stay in a hotel with a gym but if they don’t have one I just train in my room and do chair dips and do exercise with my body weight. I travel with my ankle cables and resistance bands so that I can do something.”

You see the same people running every morning, and they inspire me to keep going. That and knowing there is a Starbucks coffee at the end of the route!”

Lily Aldridge also shared her fashion show prep with Allure. “About two months in advance, I'll start amping up my workouts and changing my diet slightly,” she says. “And I'll go to two workouts a day. I'll do Ballet Beautiful and Pilates—it just depends on which city I'm in. In Nashville, I'll do Pilates, and here, I do Ballet Beautiful. I eat a lot of protein and vegetables. I love to make myself roast chicken. And I feel good now. I feel confident and ready for the runway."

"It's hard because you have a lot more little muscles than you think you do. When you activate them, it's one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. My whole body was quivering. What you put in your body is what makes you glow and look healthy and gorgeous.”

15. Chanel Iman

Los,Angeles,-,Mar,17:,Chanel,Iman,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Chanel Iman is all about self-care. She shared her favorite things to do in an interview with W Magazine. “Taking some time for yourself is always necessary. I like to write, so I always write down my thoughts and everything that’s going on in my life in my journal. That really helps me mentally. And talking to someone as well—I always think everybody needs someone to talk to.”

16. Barbara Palvin

Antibes,,France.,May,17,,2018:,Barbara,Palvin,At,The,25thShutterstock

Barbara Palvin shared some of her favorite workouts with Us Weekly. She says that she loves doing reverse lunges with a stability ball, as it comes in handy for photoshoots. “You have the ball, you put one leg on it and one behind you. So you bend down straight and put your leg back straight, stand up and then go down. You do that eight times, both legs, and actually if you do it before a shoot, for example, it really lifts your butt.”

In the same Allure interview, Jac Jagaciak revealed that she doesn’t have a specific routine for getting ready for the Victoria’s Secret Show. “It's more that I work out almost every day, and normally I only do it three times a week,” she explained. “I do a little bit of boxing, a little bit of Pilates. It's a mix of things. And I just eat healthy, three proper meals a day and then some snacks in between. What would I avoid? Uh, probably dairy. I don't really eat dairy so much anymore. I think dairy makes you a little bloated. And I think people really just found out lately, it's not really good for your body, so I trust that."

Heidi Klum is dancing it up in a luxurious swimsuit! On Saturday, the German supermodel got the world’s attention, showing off her moves and her hot body in a bathing suit. Her message? Her new single collaboration for Germany’s Top Model theme song, Chai Tea with Heidi, played in the background. How does she manage to make 48 look like 24? Read on to see 8 ways Heidi Klum promotes longevity and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Beauty Boils Down to the Basics

According to Klum, her forever young beauty boils down to the basics. “A lot of beauty comes down to common sense,” she told Who What Wear. “I get bombarded with products from all over the world, and I love trying all of those different things, but for me, the basics are most important. When I eat well and keep hydrated I can see the difference in my face when I look in the mirror. You’ve got to look in the mirror and see if there is something up. That way, you know if you break out it could be because of the garbage you ate. If you look dry and your skin doesn’t snap back, you’re not hydrated. If you just look at yourself and listen, you know what to do.”

2. Her Diet Is Healthy

Klum maintains that you are what you eat. “For me, beauty is all about food. There is only so much you can do topically. I learned that a really long time ago. I’ve been in this industry since 1992 and I’ve always believed you are what you eat. Having said that, a lot of work has to go into every meal to make sure you’ve got all of the fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants and hydration you need. We can’t do it all because it’s a lot of work to prepare. Often, I’ll find the time to do the prep (like put chia seeds in to soak overnight), but not everyone has the time and freedom to do things like this, especially as we get older! I find that a supplement is a great add-on to my already pretty healthy diet. A couple of years ago I started taking one Perfectil a day because I was getting older and thought, ‘What do I have to lose?!’ Of course, no pill will solve your beauty problems. Food always comes first, but I do think it’s a good boost,’” she told WWW.

3. She Washes Her Face with Baby Shampoo

Klum uses shampoo as a face wash. “A long time ago, I went to see an eye doctor because I had a sty and they told me to wash my face with Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo. Some days I’ll get home from work and have multiple layers of fake eyelashes on and lots of makeup and they told me that Baby Shampoo will mean I can really get into the eye and clean all of the makeup out. It made sense to me! Now it’s all I use. It’s not super-harsh unlike all of these products at the moment that strip your skin. Personally, they don’t work for me,” she told WWW.

4. Coconut Oil Is Her Favorite Product

Homemade,Coconut,Products,On,White,Wooden,Table,Background.,Oil,,Scrub,Shutterstock

Klum revealed to WWW that one of her favorite skincare products is actually cooking oil. “I love using just plain, old coconut oil that you get in the supermarket. Especially in Los Angeles right now, everything is so dry and I’m outside a lot. I love to lather up some coconut oil in my hair and on my body too. It’s so inexpensive and it just makes everything feel so yummy and nourished. In general, I like going more towards the natural things instead of the sorts of products that are full of perfumes and astringents. I really love trying all of those things but very rarely do I actually stick with it. I’d rather use coconut oil,” she told WWW.

5. She Uses Sunscreen

Klum revealed to Harper’s Bazaar UK that she hasn’t always slathered on SPF. "I have added sunscreen to my daily routine. I grew up without a lot of awareness of how important it is to keep your skin protected from the sun. I remember tanning with baby oil – can you imagine doing that now? I have always been a sun bum. I’m at my happiest on a beautiful beach in the hot sun but, now, I put on sunscreen first. I like the tinted sunscreen by La Roche Posay,” she said.

6. She Takes Supplements

"I definitely think that you can buy all the potions and creams but it is essential to nourish your skin from within,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I drink a fresh smoothie every morning that is made from fresh fruit and vegetables, and I take two Perfectil Vitamins which are targeted for my skin, hair and nails."

7. She Exfoliates

Klum revealed to Elle UK that she is all about exfoliating, getting body scrubs at Beverly Hot Springs. “It's the best one I've ever had. They get off all your dead skin, I love it!” she said.

8. She Loves Drunk Elephant Products

Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
