Duff shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Shape Magazine. She says that she loves to play tennis to stay in shape. “I’m really loving that escape and that little break,” she says. “It’s a really complex game, and it’s hard to think about other things when you’re playing. It kind of drowns out all the buzzing in my head.”

2. She Uses Mind-Muscle Connection

Duff’s trainer, Dominic Leeder, has her use the mind-muscle connection when she works out. “This is the first time I’ve really trained like that, and it makes such a huge difference, especially with my core and not getting hurt,” she says to Shape. “I’ll turn [to look] over my shoulder in the car to make sure I can change lanes and I’ll put my neck out. I walk differently. I hold myself differently. I eat better.”

3. She Cooks

Duff makes sure to eat healthy, and she also loves to cook. She shared some of the healthy meals she makes for her family to Shape. “I love to roast vegetables like squash and broccoli,” she says. “I’ll make chicken thighs, tacos with cassava flour, arugula salads with whatever kind of fruits or vegetables I have in my fridge, and Israeli quinoa. My friend Gaby [Dalkin] is a chef and taught me how to reverse sear a steak — you cook it really slow in the oven first, and then once it's almost cooked, you throw it on a really hot grill — it’s my favorite thing ever.”

4. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Duff has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her secrets in an interview with Marie Claire. “In the morning, I'll use toner instead of washing my face, and then I put on a serum and moisturizer. I'm really into Biologique Recherche products right now, but I'm typically all over the map. I use different things. I like some oils from Joanna Vargas if I'm being a little gentler to my skin. Sometimes I use a balm instead of my typical day cream. I'm not always using the same stuff.”

5. She Takes Fitness Classes

Duff tells Marie Claire that she loves to take workout classes to stay in shape. “I usually work out with Tracy Anderson. I was working out with a trainer doing more specialty design workouts with weights and stuff, and I still do like to weight lift twice a week, but when I was working out with my trainer, I was missing the social aspect of it. I like grabbing a workout or a hike with a friend. For me, it’s a little more social and more motivating to be in a room of people working out instead of constantly doing it by yourself.”

1. She Goes To Therapy

Duff has been in the public eye since she was a teenager. She opened up about how she handles this to Harper’s Bazaar. Duff says that she goes to therapy. “But, really, therapy has helped. Because when gossip magazines, and then social media, came [about], everything you do is talked about and highlighted. It’s really a lot of pressure, and I think letting go and just not caring, not reading and knowing that it’s not real, and that probably next week something else is going to come and replace it, and then it’s forgotten about.”

2. She Doesn’t Take Things Personally

Duff tells Harper’s Bazaar that she doesn’t take anything too personally. Instead, she focuses on the real important things in her life. “Everything is so fickle now,” Duff says. “Everything is moving so fast. We’re processing information so fast that I think I just try to hang onto what’s real in my household, in my world, and that’s been the easiest way to become a full person.”

3. She Mixes It Up

Celebrity Sightings In New York - May 18 2022MEGA/GC Images

Duff works with personal trainer Dominic Leeder. He opened up about her fitness secrets to FOX News, after she appeared on the cover of Women’s Health. Leeder says that the actress does a lot of different things to stay in shape. "Duff is a fan of variety in the gym, so every single training session was different," Leeder said. "Each workout consisted of movements that focused on engaging the star's lower core muscles and involved a mix of cardio, high-intensity interval training and resistance training."

4. She’s Motivated

Leeder tells FOX News that Duff is extremely motivated. Especially when she was prepping for her Women’s Health shoot. "For this, she was on it. I didn't really have to push too hard. Every now and again she would say, 'No' and I'd say, 'Yes, we're doing this.' She's not a difficult client in the slightest. She works hard.”

5. She’s Comfortable With Herself

HilaryDuffHilary Duff/Instagram

In her Women’s Health interview, Duff opened up about body image. She says that she is comfortable with herself and her body. "I think that, at 34, I have just gained a lot of respect for my body," Duff added. "It's taken me all of the places I need to go. It's helped me build a beautiful family. I feel like the older I get, the more confident I get in my own skin. And my body's been many different shapes and sizes, and I'm really just fascinated by, one, being a woman. And, two, all the changes that your body can go through throughout your lifetime."

"I would be in bed by, like, 8. I had to or else I would be like tempted to creep downstairs and be a little mouse." She likes to sip on bitter tears like dandelion root tea what’s a pinch of honey in it.

5. She Has What She Wants In Moderation

Duff really appreciates this kind of lifestyle, leading to not feeling deprived. “Every time I've dieted before and cut carbs and sugar, there's been such a daunting feeling of 'I'm being deprived, I'm being deprived.' I'm a really balanced person, and I like to have freedom.” She said about her love of macro counting. It’s good for her because she doesn’t really have to cut anything out.

1. She Paddleboards

Stand up paddleboarding really works your core, as Bure knows. Try it. “You can SUP just about anywhere and at any level, from elite level athlete racing to beginner classes and personal instruction at local parks. If there’s a body of water, you’re likely to find a SUP workout class or rental company nearby. Or you can buy or rent your own online or at just about any outdoor recreation store,” says ACE Fitness.

2. Exercise Gets Her Endorphins Going

"Just sweating that out and all those endorphins really help me a lot. I notice a huge difference when I don’t exercise, how much it can affect me mentally and kind of deal with depression," she said, according to Prevention. "That's why I keep going. There are a lot of benefits I get. My mind is most important, and exercise definitely helps that."

3. Health and Fitness Have Always Been a Part of Her Life

“Health and fitness have always been a big part of my life, even growing up, especially growing up in front of the cameras,” she told Livestrong. “But what changed is I found my enjoyment for health and fitness probably when I hit my thirties. So it was something that was always a part of my life, but it always felt more like a struggle and like, oh, I, I have to go work out today. Or, you know, I can't, I shouldn't eat this, I can't eat this and I should be eating this and it was always kind of a downer in a way. And then it doesn't hurt to be married to a professional athlete so my husband was always very encouraging because fitness obviously has been a huge part of his life and career.”

4. Find the Kinds of Exercises You Love

Celebrity Sightings In Los Angeles - October 21, 2020Rachpoot/MEGA/GC Images

“In my thirties, I finally found the types of exercises that I really liked. And then especially having had my children, I felt so many changes in my body and then finding fitness that really worked for me and then made a difference for me physically and mentally was a game changer. Growing up. I always thought, oh, I have to go to a gym and I have to get on the treadmill or the StairMaster. And it was so boring. Like I hated it, but I would just plug away at my 45 minutes on a machine. And then when I found classes, not necessarily at my gym, but like spin class and Pilates and barre class, I realized how much I enjoyed working out with other people. I liked the energy in there and I thought, oh, these are amazing exercises and I'm not bored. And there's great music. And that's what changed everything for me. I also found out how much I loved lifting weights too. That's my favorite thing. Like I love strength training,” she told Livestrong.

5. Work Hard but Slow Down When Necessary

Candace is spiritual. “Competing on Dancing with the Stars was unquestionably the hardest I’ve ever worked physically,” Candace wrote in her book, Healthy In The Hustle: An Inspirational Wellness Journal. “I had to give it my all because I really didn’t know how to dance. Fortunately, I was paired with a great partner, and I was willing to work my dancing shoes off, and it ended up being a great experience. It turns out, I haven’t always known how to rest either. I’ve needed a strong Partner to walk me through the steps and teach me to flow freely with 'the unforced rhythms of grace.' The one pointer I can give you from DWTS and my journey with Jesus is, follow your Partner's lead. When He tells you to slow down, ease up….”

Hilary Duff is wishing her friend a happy birthday – in her swimsuit. While currently pregnant with her fourth child, the actress took her followers on a pre-pregnancy journey, sharing a photo of herself in a bathing suit with pal Sharmeen on her special day. “Happy Birthday my gorgeous girl!!! Non of this would look the same without you!” she captioned the series of snaps honoring her friend. How does the actress keep herself fit? Celebwell has all the details on her top health and wellness habits.

1. Lift Weights

Hilary isn’t afraid of lifting heavy weights after changing her approach to fitness. “I was thinking I don’t need to do heavy weights because if I do heavy weights I’ll bulk up. I tend to build muscle fast,” she told Women’s Health. “I’m lifting and squatting and using a barbell with lots of weight on it, and I’ve never felt so strong but lean.”

2. Count Macros

Hilary’s diet coach “basically counts your macros for you” she told Women’s Health, adding that “it’s been amazing because it’s basically like a mathematical equation that I just follow, and it’s been really successful for me.” Before she started keeping tabs of her daily intake of carbs and healthy fats, she “had no idea how much I was eating throughout the day, snacking,” she said. “I lost 10 pounds and I was not starving myself, and just eating things that I like and being more conscious."

3. Meal Prep

Healthy,Meal,Prep,Containers,With,Quinoa,,Chicken,And,Cole,SlawShutterstock

“On the weekends, I'll meal prep a few things that I can pack with me and bring to set during the week,” Hilary told Shape. “I'll make a big thing of quinoa and brown rice, or some chicken and steak chopped up. And then I'll bring some arugula and make a salad with everything. I'll bring an avocado with some lemon and sea salt or fruit for a snack. And since there's a juice place on every corner in New York, sometimes I'll get a protein shake as a meal replacement.”

4. Drink Green Protein Smoothies

Hilary makes sure to hit her protein goals with the help of smoothies. “I'll put in some berries, greek yogurt, nut butter, and egg white powder that I buy it at Whole Foods-I'm really into that and use it instead of regular protein powder. And my favorite green juice I make for myself is spinach, romaine, celery, parsley cilantro, apple, pear, and banana and lemon,” she told Shape.

5. Do Lots of Glute Work

“I've been working so hard on my bum lately! I've been doing crazy, crazy, amounts of squats with heavy weights, and weighted deadlifts and hip thrusts. They're so awkward to do because you're basically humping the air, but if they work, I'll do them. It literally changed my whole butt- I've always had a pretty good butt and some meat there but it's made it so much higher than it was, so I'm loving that,” Duff told Shape.

Mark Wahlberg isn’t slowing down in his 50s—if anything, he’s more shredded than ever. The actor, producer, and fitness enthusiast has built a reputation for his intense workouts and disciplined diet. In a recent TikTok, he gave fans a sneak peek at what’s fueling his muscle gains, from protein-packed meals to superfoods that keep him energized. He Eats Eggs

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Rita snaps a selfie on the treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Rita Ora working her triceps

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

Rita Ora on a Pilates reformer

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve found that if every week I do something different it tricks my muscles into not getting used to doing any one thing. I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”
