She's Sober
Along with consuming a nutritious diet, Demi stays away from alcohol.
The actress shared with The New York Times in September 2024, "I had almost 20 years of sobriety. I had a detour. And now I have over 12 years. When you have that much time and you open the door, it's difficult, because there's a part of you that feels like you want to prove that you can manage it. And managing it, it is just not in my makeup. But I sure gave it a hell of a shot."
Demi now considers herself "emotionally sober," telling the outlet, "To be emotionally sober means how I'm choosing to live my life, the quality of how I interact with people, my ability to show up for others. That's all within my emotional sobriety."

She Ditched Intense Workouts
Although Demi gave up "hard exercise," which she shared in her 2019 memoir Inside Out, the celeb is still incredibly fit. (She used to bike as many as 60 miles per day!)
She wrote, "I added into my daily prayer a new mantra: to have the courage to be seen without padding or protection. I couldn't go on fighting my body and my weight; I had to make peace. I started by giving up hard exercise. I never went back into the gym in the house. Never. The room it occupied is now my office."

She Does Pilates
Demi has been seen leaving Pilates classes alongside her daughters, according to the Daily Mail. In addition, the celeb is reportedly a big fan of Bikram yoga, which is a form of hot yoga.
She Has a Healthy Mindset
Demi has a deep understanding and appreciation of who she is. She stopped trying to pursue perfection, sharing with the NYT, "That deep reminder of appreciating who you are, as you are, where you are, just resonated more as [filming The Substance] went along. And not just the external. Really, all of those internal things of who we are that we often can overlook. And the journey of what it's taken to get where you are."
The celeb has also been candid about the intense beauty standards she's lived up to throughout her career. Demi told CBS News that she no longer pressures herself to lose weight for roles.
"I put so much pressure on myself," she shared. "And I did have experiences of being told to lose weight. And all of those, while they may have been embarrassing and humiliating, it's what I did to myself because of that."

She Prioritizes Skincare
Terri Lawton, facialist and energy healer, has worked with the actress for over 20 years. She told InStyle, "Working with the concept and energies of the whole yields the fullness and depth of who we are. With Demi, I see her true beauty and its depth. But Demi does not dabble in this concept. She lives it 24/7 and is authentic in her body, mind, and spirit."
Terri also shared a little insight into awakening and aligning Demi's energy system. "This allows for her skin to look beautiful and alive, giving the dimension we are looking for," Terri said. "With my facials, I work with products that best match the skin's energy internally and spiritually."
The celeb is also a fan of using the gua sha tool, which is helpful for lymphatic drainage and blood circulation.
