Joanna "JoJo" Levesque has been an icon in the pop music scene since she released her debut single, "Leave (Get Out)," in 2004. The singer then went on to drop popular hits like "Too Little, Too Late" and "Baby It's You." She also finished in second place on the fifth season of The Masked Singer.

JoJo is currently on her Too Much To Say Tour and is making sure she's in peak shape for it. She recently spilled the tea on TikTok about her wellness routine, including how she trains her core and keeps it in excellent shape.

In her TikTok video, JoJo shared some of her favorite tips for keeping her core sculpted and strong. She's seen doing sit-ups, using battle ropes, and going for a run.

"Between movement rehearsals and working out, I wanted to share a little bit about how I'm getting my body ready for tour to avoid injury, to keep my core engaged, but most importantly, to feel good; feel strong," JoJo said.

The "Leave (Get Out)" singer also noted that she typically works out fasted, but because it was noon at the time of her TikTok filming, JoJo made sure to fill up on some protein—specifically, hard-boiled eggs and shrimp cocktail.

She Does Fitness Challenges

Last year, JoJo revealed on Instagram that she took part in the 75 Hard fitness challenge.

She shared in the caption, "So I'm doing 75 Hard. It's day 7 for me. The protocol is: 2 workouts per day (45 minutes each & 1 has to be outside). 1 gallon of water. Follow a diet of your choosing. 10 pages of reading per day (non-fiction only and audiobooks don't count). No alcohol or cheat meals. Daily progress pics. No compromises, modifications, or excuses."

The singer added, "To some of you this might sound easy. To others it might sound really hard. Either way you're right. Even though people tend to have amazing psychical transformations after following this—this is first and foremost a mental toughness challenge. Which is really something I was looking for in the new year. More of a commitment than a resolution. I'm definitely worried that I'll cop out and not make it. That I'll prioritize my comfort over this commitment and it'll be yet another thing I've tried and not finished. But it's THAT EXACT FEELING that compelled me to say YES when I heard about 75 Hard. I'm enjoying shifting my priorities around right now and I'm grateful I have the flexibility to do so."

Her Workout Regimen Has Variety

JoJo shared a sneak peak into one of her strength training sessions, where she's seen performing a variety of productive exercises, like sled pushes, single-leg glute bridges, pull-ups, feet-elevated pushups, and barbell back squats.

She captioned the post, "How many of us are tryna fall in love with working out? Again or for the first time? Love the ability to switch up my routine and try different kinds of physical activity. Sometimes my body wants Pilates or yoga or boxing or strength training and cardio. Most oftentimes she says she wants to roll around in bed and not workout. But I've nevvvvvver regretted getting her up and outta there to work up a sweat."

She's Learned To Do What Works Best for Her

In an interview with Popsugar, JoJo spoke about her "unhealthy" weight-loss experience.

"Here's something that I agreed to do that ended up messing with me psychologically," JoJo said. "I was under a lot of pressure with a company I was at previously and they wanted me to lose weight fast. So they got me with a nutritionist and had me, like, on all these supplements, and I was injecting myself—this is a common thing 'the girls' do all the way—it makes your body only need certain calories, so I ate 500 calories a day. It was the most unhealthy thing I've ever done."

She added, "I listen to other people's opinions. Listening and following are different things. I think listening and showing respect to people you respect . . . it works for me. What you think about yourself and the decisions you make is what's most important."
