Addison Rae is one of the world’s most successful 22 year olds. She’s an influencer, best known for her work on TikTok. She’s been able to turn that into both an acting and singing career. Rae just shared some highlights from a recent vacation she took on Instagram. In them, she went on a bike ride, went to the beach, and went swimming. She captioned the post, “Special time special place.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Addison Rae stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Calls Out Haters

Hollywood,,Ca,Usa,-,Feb,24,2020:,Addison,Rae,ArrivesShutterstock

In an interview with ELLE, Rae talked about her career so far. In it, she called out the people who are negative on social media. “No matter who you are or what you do, there’s going to be negativity,” Rae says. “Social media can be toxic, and dealing with it is definitely an uphill battle. The comments can be so cruel, and it really throws me off that people even feel the need to say the things they do. I think if everyone just learnt to love themselves, they’d have less to say about other people.”

2. She Believes in Self-Love

Rae is all about self-love. One way she has found it is by finding her style and the clothes for her body type. “Learning how to style my body type and understanding what looks good and feels good on me has been a big thing,” Rae told ELLE. “Every body is so different, so something that looks great on someone else might not look the same on me. And that’s fine. It’s about finding things you love, but in a way that makes you feel the most confident – and making it your own.”

3. She Follows Her Instincts

Addison,Rae,At,The,Lacma,Art+film,Gala,Presented,By,GucciShutterstock

Rae follows her own instincts when it comes to her career. She tells ELLE that this is why she has so much success. “Everything I’ve done so far in my career is because of choices I’ve made, and straying true to myself and my intuition. So why would I listen to what anyone else has to say? I got here all on my own.”

4. She Focuses On The Positive

Addison,Rae,Attends,Cfda,Fashion,Awards,2022,At,Cipriani,SouthShutterstock

In an interview with Vogue, Rae talked about how she handled getting feedback on her music. She says that while she was discouraged with some of the comments at first, she learned to focus on the positive ones. Rae says that this helped her want to go on. “I began to notice there was this group of people who were super-interested in them, and it restored a little bit of excitement about it all for me,” she says. “I was just really surprised, after what felt like a long period of time, that people were so interested and wanted to see me continue. And so I began to realize that the only way I can fail is by not continuing. I think that’s the most important thing I’ve learned over the past two-and-a-half years.”

5. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Rae shared her skincare routine in an interview with Byrdie. “I start my day with my Item Beauty FastPass Gel Cleanser ($18), then follow up with an Epicuren Enzyme Toner ($22). Then I use the Item Beauty Lite Sauce Moisturizer ($20), which is lighter and easier to use in the morning. I follow that up with the Epicuren X-Treme Cream Propolis Sunscreen SPF 45 ($43) to get ready for the day…For evening, it stays very similar, except if I'm wearing makeup, I'll use my Item Beauty Slick Type Cleansing Balm ($20), which is great for removing makeup, and then will follow my morning routine steps (gel cleanser, toner). I end with my Item Beauty OverDew Moisturizer ($20) at night, which is thicker and more moisturizing for bedtime.”

In an interview with ELLE, Rae talked about how much she feels that she has grown over the years. “Looking at pictures of myself from two years ago, I’m like: I don’t know her,” Rae says. “I’ve grown into my style a lot the past few years, and as I’m getting older and experiencing more of life and different people, I’m discovering more things that I like and that inspire me. I feel really comfortable with myself and my body now, but that’s obviously something I’ve had to work on and learn how to do. Because it’s really hard to love the things about yourself that maybe people don’t want you to love.”

2. She Uses Fashion As A Confidence Builder

Rae has built a lot of confidence in herself. She tells ELLE that learning more about fashion and what works on her body helped her. “Learning how to style my body type and understanding what looks good and feels good on me has been a big thing,” explains Rae. “Every body is so different, so something that looks great on someone else might not look the same on me. 4. She Stays Positive

Rae is all about being positive. “One thing about me that surprises people is that I am just as happy as I am in the pictures,” she says to High Snobiety. “I try to always be positive, and people think that's not real. No matter what situation I've been in my entire life, good or bad, I've always [known] that things pass and get better.”

5. She’s No Longer A People Pleaser

Rae has had to deal with people who don’t like her. However, she told High Snobiety that she is working on not being a people pleaser. “You're not meant to appeal to every single person. There are going to be people that don't like you. There are going to be people that don't like what you wear, but that's all a part of being unique and different and standing out. People who are memorable don't come from being people pleasers. Growing up, I struggled with that. I wanted to make everyone happy, and sometimes you compromise yourself when you do that. That helped me navigate myself and exactly what I wanted to do and be.”

3. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera has been in the public eye since she was young. She’s also gone through a lot of changes with her body, which includes insecurities with herself, and public scrutiny. Aguilera told Health that she hated being super-skinny, and is more comfortable in her body now. "I would never want to relive my 20s — you're so in your own head and finding your confidence. As you age, you stop comparing yourself to other people and start appreciating your own body and owning it," she said.

4. Perrie Edwards

Brooke Ence is a fitness expert, and is the founder of From The Farm USA. She shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. Recently, Ence shared a video of herself doing interval weight training. In it, she is seen doing things like burpees, deadlifts, and sit-ups. Ence captioned the post, “So here’s one of my favorite ways to break a sweat. 🔥 It’s challenging, mentally engaging, and interval style, which always keeps it fun.”

She Lifts Weights

As you can see from her Instagram video, Ence likes to lift weights to keep herself in shape. She shares a lot of other posts of herself using weights. According to ACE Fitness, lifting weights has a lot of health benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Deadlifts

Ence is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this exercise has a lot of benefits. “One significant benefit of the RDL is that it teaches clients how to lift from the hips instead of using the lower back. The base move of the RDL is the standing hip hinge, which is an important component of learning how to squat correctly. The first move during the lowering phase of the squat should be the hips moving back in a flexed position. Back pain is often associated with not using the hips properly when squatting or bending over to pick an object up off of the ground. Teaching clients how to lift safely in the gym means they m

She Does Burpees

Ence is seen doing burpees by jumping over a barbell in her Instagram video. Burpees have a lot of benefits. A Healthier Michigan says, “A burpee is an easy exercise and can be done in almost any location because it involves no workout equipment and only requires a small amount of space. Burpees workout your entire body and are great for building strength and burning calories.”

She Does Sit-ups

Another exercise that Ence is seen doing in her Instagram video is sit-ups. The Cleveland Clinic says that sit-ups are very beneficial. “Sit ups are essential for strengthening your core — something that’s obvious. But your core is responsible for so much more than those classic ‘six pack’ abs many strive for. A strong core can reduce back pain, improve balance and increase your flexibility. Core muscles also support your hips and pelvis. Finally, a strong core will help you build good posture.”

She Jumps Rope

Another thing that Ence does to keep herself in shape is jump rope. She shared a photo on Instagram of herself jumping rope for an interval. Ence captioned it, “Got snapped 📸 during my training day. Here's the Metcon I was doing, how many double unders could you get? 4 Rounds. 20 Alternating Dumbbell Snatches . 90 Seconds Amrap Double Unders.. Rest 1:00.”

Emily Ratajkowski is steaming things up south of the border – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the model dances around in a red bathing suit with her pal Ziwe, attracting lots of attention. “Escaped to Mexico just for TikTok,” she writes. “Guess we live here now.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are 5 habits responsible for her gravity-defying body.

Yoga

Emily appreciates a zen form of fitness. “I don’t have a trainer, and I don’t really go to the gym,” she told The New York Times. “I’m just not a crazy fitness person. I’m definitely an outlier in the industry,” she added. “And doing yoga a couple of times a week is a really big part of my regimen.” There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness.

Baths

Emily regularly shares bath photos on her social media feed. found helpful in minimizing anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits. And did you know they are a form of exercise? According to Loughborough University research published in the journal Temperature, relaxing in a hot bath can burn as many calories as a 30-minute walk, about 140 calories.

Sleep

Emily makes sure to get a good night’s sleep "For me, the way I sleep afterwards is one of the main reasons to work out. I am always on my phone working and I think that's affected my sleep. I'm also really light-sensitive. When I work out, it's better than taking a melatonin. Because my body has worked hard, my brain finally rests and I think that is so valuable in this day and age — not to sound like an old geezer, but truly I feel that way," she told InStyle.

Long Walks

Gym Classes

You might find Emily in a group fitness class. “I'm one of those people who, if I go to the gym by myself, there's a 50/50 chance of me actually working out and really pushing myself, so the class environment works really, really well for me,” Emily told InStyle. “I am also someone who, even in a class, will get chatty and [distracted]. I think that’s the great thing about STRONG — the music keeps me really focused and in the zone,” she continues. “You just feel like you're, you know, Superwoman really pushing herself. You end up working harder and it's a better, more intense workout, without even noticing.”
