Rae is big on setting intentions for herself. “Self-care is to me is accomplishing things that I really want to do and spending my time really wisely, so setting monthly and everyday intentions or goals for myself is a big thing,” she says. “The other big part of self-care is about connections; Being very open and vulnerable with people is a great way to teach yourself how to love. Because the only way you can love yourself is if you give love to other people and the only way to receive it is to love yourself, too.”

Rae is used to dealing with criticism, and chooses to focus on the positive. “I feel like at the end of the day, I always know who I am and I really try to remind myself of that,” she says. “I know what I love, I know my passions, and I know my dreams that I want to accomplish and I know that no matter what, they're always going to be people that are negative and that are not wanting people to chase their dreams or accomplish them. I think there are so many lovers and so many supporters and people that love the things I do and love to support me and love to love and at the end of the day, I think that always outweighs the hate.”

In an interview with ELLE, Rae talked about how much she feels that she has grown over the years. “Looking at pictures of myself from two years ago, I’m like: I don’t know her,” Rae says. “I’ve grown into my style a lot the past few years, and as I’m getting older and experiencing more of life and different people, I’m discovering more things that I like and that inspire me. I feel really comfortable with myself and my body now, but that’s obviously something I’ve had to work on and learn how to do. Because it’s really hard to love the things about yourself that maybe people don’t want you to love.”

Rae has had to deal with people who don’t like her. However, she told High Snobiety that she is working on not being a people pleaser. “You're not meant to appeal to every single person. People who are memorable don't come from being people pleasers. Growing up, I struggled with that. I wanted to make everyone happy, and sometimes you compromise yourself when you do that. "I am 20 and my body is constantly changing, but people have this high standard around body image and say, 'Oh, you have to look like this to look great or to look hot or to be cool or to be pretty.'" "For me, a lot of people have said, 'Oh I love how comfortable she is and she doesn't look like the beauty standard.' It's a backhanded compliment sometimes because people will be like, 'I'm so glad she's confident that she doesn't look perfect,'" she continued in the interview. "It hurts sometimes when people say that, because I think everyone's perfect, so why is there some standard of 'this body is the ideal body'?"

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits.
