Influencer Jaclyn Cordeiro in Workout Gear Says "Do Cardio Before You Lift"

Here are her top cardio and strength training exercises to stay fit.

Jaclyn Cordeiro is a fitness influencer who regularly shares her workouts and fitness advice on Instagram. In a post from August, she uploaded a video showcasing her intense gym session, where she performed a mix of cardio and strength training exercises. In the caption, she advised her followers, "Do cardio before you lift." Cordeiro's approach to fitness emphasizes the importance of balancing cardiovascular exercise with strength training to achieve optimal results. Her dedication to staying fit and healthy inspires many, and her varied workout routines help keep her followers engaged and motivated. Here's a breakdown of how Jaclyn maintains her fitness through these effective exercises.

1

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Cordeiro is seen on a stair climber. Stair workouts are very beneficial. ACE Fitness states, "Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions — including high blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels — that increases your risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, per Mayo Clinic. It's important for your overall health to reduce your risk. Some data suggest that using stairs in your everyday life, such as by walking up a flight or two instead of taking the elevator, is a burst of intense exercise that may stave off metabolic disease."

She Does Dips

Cordeiro is also seen doing dips in her Instagram video. Gymless states that these can be very beneficial. "The dip, also known as tricep dips, is a compound upper body exercise that develops the triceps, chest, and shoulders. This is one of the fundamental exercises in calisthenics that you shoulder master. It will advance your pushing strength, helping you to increase your reps count for the push-up, along with transitional strength in power moves such as the muscle-up. Dips can give you a great chest and triceps workout without having to use a gym membership or any expensive equipment. You can perform chair dips at the comfort of your own home by using chairs, and you can also up the challenge by trying dips on a parallel bar or a straight bar."

She Does Mountain Climbers

Cordeiro is also seen doing mountain climbers in her Instagram video. Gymless states that they are a very good exercise to choose. "Mountain climbers are an explosive compound bodyweight exercise that targets the full body, especially the arms, shoulders, core, and quads. This exercise has a cardio component to it which will develop your muscular endurance as it requires you to begin in a plank position, and alternate between bringing one knee to the chest, and back out.  Although mountain climbers seem basic, they will have your heart rate pumping, therefore, burning calories, and helping you to achieve more definition in your core region! This exercise is readily accessible at your convenience whether it's at home, in the office, in the hotel room, or in the parking lot."

She Does Lunges

Cordeiro is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. According to ACE Fitness, they are very beneficial. "Lunges work the biggest muscles in your lower body — mainly the quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and the adductor magnus (the muscle in your inner thigh). Other muscles that come into play are the hamstrings, gluteus medius, calves, and core stabilizers, says Susane Pata, content strategist for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and NASM-certified personal trainer based in Miami."

She Strength Trains

Cordeiro is seen using weights to do deadlifts and lunges in her post. ACE Fitness states that using weights is very beneficial. "Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force."
