1. She Does Squats

As you can see from her Instagram post, Findley likes to do squats to stay in shape. According to Piedmont, squats have a lot of benefits. “Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off. Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

Findley likes to do wall-sits to help her get in shape, and she is seen doing them in her Instagram videos. NASM states that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “Wall sits increase muscular endurance and joint stabilization in a squat position. They work the quads (no question there), the glutes, the calves, and the core (especially as you focus on good posture in this position!).”

4. She Runs On The Treadmill

In this video on her Instagram, Findley revealed that she likes to run on the treadmill to warm up. She captioned the post, “Uh oh. The warm-up police is here 🚨🙄 (it’s me). Let’s run through one of my upper body warm-up routines. Save this & take it with you!! :) ✔️ 5-10 minutes on the treadmill to get the blood flowin & the heart pumpin✨ nothing crazy! 3-3.5 speed, maybe a lil incline.”

In the same Instagram post, Findley shared some of her favorite upper body exercises. “✔️3-4 dynamic movements (upper body specific) - in this instance: ➖band pass through (10 reps). ➖underhand pull apart (10 reps). ➖thread the needle (5 reps per side). ➖down dog/up dog (5 reps). ✔️a LIGHTweight set of whatever exercise I’ll be doing first in the workout (example shown: if I’m training shoulders, I’ll do a shoulder press &/or lateral raise with very light weights. Take your time & breathe through each movement 🧘🏼‍♀️😮‍💨I’ll typically run through the dynamic movements 2x, and from there, I’ll still begin my workout with 1-2 sets at a lighter weight just to ensure that I’m ready to go before moving into the heavier working sets.”
