Tamara Kalinic is an influencer focused on fashion and fitness, with a blog called Glam & Glitter. She prioritizes her mental and physical well-being, spending plenty of time outdoors by the water, working out, and eating healthy. “Current priorities: tanning, swimming, sleeping,” she said on Instagram. Here’s what Kalinic does to stay looking and feeling like the best version of herself.

1. She spends time near the water

She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially near the water. “These days… ☀️🌊,” she says on Instagram, with a slideshow of photos of her by the water. It’s so important to spend time outside for your mental health. As seen in the Mayo Clinic, “Biophilia means that we are wired to be connected to nature — that there's something healthy about having nature either in our presence or us being present in nature," says Dr. Brent Bauer, a general internal medicine physician at Mayo Clinic. "There's actually a lot of research on this topic. So it's no longer just, 'Nature sounds good.' We know it's actually really good. Those studies range from evaluating people who are in a city and then taken into a forest. What happens to blood pressure? What happens to heart rate? And in many, many studies, we do much better in the natural environment."

2. She chooses healthy food

In the same post as above that Kalinic captioned “these days… ☀️🌊,” she posted a colorful salad full of protein. According to Atrium Health, “eating the right amount of protein for your body can have numerous benefits, such as helping your body create antibodies to ward off illnesses and infections, helping your bloodstream carry oxygen throughout your body, blood sugar balance, diabetes management, increased energy, more strength and muscle growth from strength training workouts, [and] increased satiety and feelings of fullness.”

3. She walks the beach

In a series of photos of her on vacation, she’s strolling along the beach. According to the Mayo Clinic, “the faster, farther and more frequently you walk, the greater the benefits. For example, you may start out as an average walker, and then work your way up to walking faster and walking a mile in a shorter amount of time than an average walker, similar to power walkers. This can be a great way to get aerobic activity, improve your heart health and increase your endurance while burning calories.”

4. She skis

Spending time outdoors isn’t just for the summer. It’s important to get fresh air year round. “First morning coffee on the slopes! So happy to be back #stmoritz,” she said on Instagram video of her taking the lift to the top of the mountain. According to Ski Canada, “It’s well documented that skiing and snowboarding benefits cardiovascular health, overall fitness, strength, coordination, balance and more. Regardless of your health and fitness goals, strapping on a pair of skis or a snowboard is sure to fulfill some of them. Due to the versatility of skiing and snowboarding, it can encompass the benefits of a cardio workout, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, and strength training session, all in one fun activity.”

5. She splurges on occasion

No matter how fit and disciplined you are, sometimes you just need a good cinnamon bun that’s baked fresh, and really worth it. Splurging on occasion is just good for the soul. “[Cinnamon] roll kinda day. Wearing @khaite trousers and top, my Birkin 25 in Gold, @pradabeauty P59 Amarena lipstick and @armanibeauty Prisma Glass 07 kinda day ad,” she said on Instagram in a series of photos from Milan, Italy.

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Taylor,Hill,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

"I used to hate my body, and I thought I was really ugly," Taylor told Byrdie. "I was so not confident, and becoming a model—and especially a VS girl—has changed my perspective on who I am. It's kind of given me a new light: You're beautiful no matter what you look like, no matter what body type you have. I always envied curvy women because I wasn't that. The grass is always greener, and you'll always have to deal with that. But being a model has helped me embrace my body type. It's hard on some girls, but it actually helped me a lot."

2. Taylor Hill Exercises

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Taylor,Hill,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Taylor mixes up her workouts. “I do mainly light weight-lifting and squats when I’m in the gym. My favorite place is Dogpound in NYC,” Taylor revealed to Harper’s Bazaar about her sweat sessions. “But I also do some yoga, pilates and crossfit. It’s important to switch things up so that your body doesn’t get too used to anything.”

3. Taylor Hill Doesn’t Believe in Diets

Stop,Dieting,Red,Sign,With,Sun,BackgroundShutterstock

“I actually don’t stick to any diets, but I eat everything in moderation. Plus, exercising regularly is very important,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. Hr favorite meals? “When I’m in Paris, I always have Japanese udon. And pizzas in New York. I also love spaghetti, and basically everything when I’m in Italy.”

4. Taylor Hills Reads

Brunette,Woman,In,Warm,Sweater,And,Socks,Reading,Book,SittingShutterstock

In her recent post, Taylor shows off the latest book she is reading. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

5. Taylor Hill Works Out with a Personal Trainer

Female,Personal,Trainer,,With,His,Back,Facing,The,Camera,,LookingShutterstock

Taylor enlists the help of a personal trainer to achieve her goals. "I have to use a trainer because I cheat in classes," she told Byrdie. "I'm a natural-born cheater. I cheat on everything—I cheated on tests (don't tell my teachers), I cheat workouts, I eat whatever I want! So I just needed someone to watch me and make sure I'm doing it correctly. When I have an hour, I want to give everything I have to that hour, like, really work out.”

6. Sara Sampaio Does Pilates

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Sara,Sampaio,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Sara likes an amped up version of pilates. “I've been doing a lot of SLT. It’s like a really intense Pilates with a machine. I’ve noticed with my body that small movements have done more for my body than the boot camps. My body moves better when it’s very focused on small movements that elongate your body and your muscles,” she told The Cut. “I tried SLT for the first time five or six years ago when I first got to New York. It was really hard, it was too hard. Then I was training for the Victoria’s Secret show last year and gave it another try. I really liked it, it was not as hard. I think they had changed it a little bit. I could actually go through a whole class without feeling like I was going to break down.”

7. Shanina Shaik Works Out with Personal Trainers

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Shanina,ShaikShutterstock

Shanina relies on personal trainers to keep her in runway model form. “I have a few favorite trainers whom I’ve enjoyed following over some time now, including Melissa Wood, Megan Roup of Sculpt Society, and Shannon Nadj of Hot Pilates. It’s extremely motivating to follow their workouts, even from the comfort of home. I usually gravitate toward workouts that incorporate a lot of Pilates. My favorite moves are making small circles and stretching your legs with ankle bands. Lastly, I like to use a resistance band, pointing your feet and pulsing up and down; it’s great for the inner and outer thighs,” Shanina revealed to Hum Nutrition.

8. Kelsey Merritt Does Two a Days

New,York,,Ny,-,February,05:,Kelsey,Merritt,Attends,TheShutterstock

Kelsey works out not once, but twice a day. "The past few months I've been working out everyday—and sometimes twice a day. This past week I did pilates, if I feel good then I'll do 30 minutes of cardio. I always make sure to put cardio in my workouts. I'll do SoulCycle, then I'll go on the treadmill. I will do strength training with a personal trainer at Dogpound,” she told Elle.

9. Jasmine Tookes Balances Diet with Exercise

New,York,,Ny,-,November,13:,Model,Jasmine,Tookes,WalksShutterstock

I've picked up more fish, greens, and lentils." Her diet involves "a lot of vegetables and fish, not much meat, minimal dairy,” she told Byrdie. "I just feel better when I eat that way."

11. Alessandra Ambrosio Allows Herself to Indulge

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Alessandra,Ambrosio,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Alessandra used to go to extremes to stay in shape, but avoids dieting now. "After having Anja I only had three months to lose all the weight [before doing the 2008 Victoria's Secret show] and I was on this 1,200-calorie-a-day meal-delivery service that I hated. I couldn't do that again," she told The Edit. "Whenever I start to diet, everything goes downhill,” she added. “So if I want a little bite of dark chocolate on a plane or a cocktail with friends on the weekend, I'll have it. In fact, I'll drink a glass of red wine with dinner most nights, and two or three times a week I'll have a cup of tea and a cupcake with Anja, who's as obsessed with red velvet as I am.”

12. Candice Swanepoel Has a “Balanced” Approach to Wellness

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Candice,SwanepoelShutterstock

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Kelly,Gale,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

She also eats clean.“My diet generally consists of fresh, organic produce (all veggies, nuts, seafood, occasional eggs and lots of raw vegan dark chocolate) and superfoods everyday such as chlorella and spirulina. If I ever need an immune booster I have tons of ginger, tumeric and baobab,” she said. It “takes a while to get used to healthier foods if you’re used to eating crap, or if you have been brought up eating a certain kind of way,” she admitted. “To me, almost everything clean and healthy taste good and you can always play around and make it taste even better.” Another way she sets herself up for healthy eating success is preparation. “When I’m traveling, I always bring a big variety of healthy snacks and superfoods – usually opting for vegetables and fish or seafood when ordering food or on set.”

14. Izabel Goulart Juices

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Izabel,GoulartShutterstock

Izabel drinks a lot of juices. “The first thing I do in the morning is prepare fresh juice. I have 15 different recipes, which I drink for 15 days consecutively. After a workout, I have a protein drink and always keep a protein bar in my bag," she told Vogue.

Kourtney Kardashian is showing off her baby bump in a bathing suit. In one of her latest social media posts, the reality star, who is expecting her fourth child, her first with husband Travis Barker, cradles her growing belly. “Growing you inside of me, my son, is the greatest blessing, honor and joy,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps and a video. Over the years, Kourtney’s view about body, diet, and exercise has shifted dramatically. Here are a few of the things she has said over the years about her body image.

1. She Openly Discussed Body Changes

2022 GQ Men Of The Year Party Hosted By Global Editorial Director Will Welch - ArrivalsShutterstock

Over the years, Kourtney has been candid about the changes her body has gone through, especially when it comes to fertility and pregnancy. “So, obviously my body has changed but it was all of the hormones that the doctors put me on,” Kardashian said to her friends during season 2 of The Kardashians in October 2022. “I think eight months of IVF treatment has definitely taken a toll on my body mentally and physically. It has taken a lot to get me to a place of feeling really comfortable and happy with the changes.” She also discussed all the comments from fans and the many times it has been questioned whether or not she is pregnant. “Everyone always comments on every photo that I am pregnant. Obviously, we wish for that but if it’s in God’s plan then it is.”

2. When She Was “Super Skinny” She Wasn’t “Happy”

Boohoo X Kourtney Kardashian - September 2022 New York Fashion WeekShutterstock

Kourtney tries to remind the world that being skinny doesn’t make you happy. “When I was super skinny, it is a time when I was super anxious. [It was] not about eating or staying at a certain weight but just in toxic relationships,” she said. “I would always say, ‘If I am super skinny just know I am not happy.'”

3. She Helped Make Intermittent Fasting Mainstram

Kardashian was one of the early celebrity supporters of intermittent fasting. "For me, this meant not eating for 14 to 16 hours after dinner. I wouldn't eat past 7 p.m. at night, and then I would wait to eat breakfast the next day until after my morning workout, which would be around 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m,” she said about the routine she followed.

4. She Also Promoted Keto

“My body never looked better than when I did the keto diet two and half years ago, when I did it for two months,” Kourtney wrote on Poosh in June 2019. “In my experience, I’ve found the best method to train my body to curb sugar cravings, burn fat and kick-start weight loss is by sticking to a keto diet.”

5. She Loves Her “Thicker” Body

Kourtney’s ideal weight has changed over the years. "My weight — I used to go so much by weight — I used to be 95 pounds. Then 105 became my new normal weight. I am 115," she explained. "I am so into my thicker body. I looked up photos of my body when I was so skinny — it is cringey."

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
