Jacqueline Macinnes Wood in Workout Gear Says "Happy Sunday"

She took a bike ride.

Jacqueline Macinnes Wood is breaking a sweat in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the Bold and the Beautiful star shows off her amazing body during a bike ride. "Happy Sunday!" she captioned the Instagram post. How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

In the video, Jacqueline reveals that cycling is one of her go-to weekend workouts. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Exercising No Matter What

The actress told that she is devoted to exercise and refused to stop working out when she was pregnant. "I was working out through my pregnancy, even if it was only little things," she says. "It was tough the last few months just because we were moving, but hey, moving is still working out." During that time she spent a lot of energy strengthening her back. "That was so crucial for me, just because the more you pop, the more you can have sciatic problems and lower back problems," she explains. "So even before Rise or Lenix, when I knew, 'OK, I want to get pregnant,' I wanted to work out my back because that's your core. Luckily," she continues, "thankfully, I didn't have many back issues."

Nutrient Dense Foods

Wood maintains that eating "really nutrient-dense foods and being mindful," helps her stay fit. "I always preach that I'm an 80/20 girl who sticks to her diet most of the time. But I definitely enjoy myself. I love a cookie, and I love a cocktail, and I love to have fun. But I don't overdo it," she adds, "because I'm not sleeping, I'm up with the kids and doing a billion things at once. So stress levels could be up. And that means your cortisol levels are up. And that means there's a greater chance that you're going to get sick."

Jacqueline understands the benefits of baths. "My self care… when I get a minute…#MomLife," she captioned a post. Baths have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Cold Plunge

In a recent Instagram video the actress takes a cold plunge. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.
