Jane Fonda Finally Reveals Her Longevity Diet at 87

The star has a moderate but efficient approach to eating.

It’s almost impossible to fathom that Jane Fonda is nearing 90. The actress and fitness legend turned 87 in December but somehow looks a fraction of her age. How has she managed to slow down the aging process? According to her, it all has to do with a few simple dietary rules that she follows. Here is what you need to know about her longevity diet.

Her Secret? A Balanced Diet

Fonda’s main secret? It’s all about moderation. "Most diets focus on weight loss on the scale, and they impose temporary and often unhealthy restrictive behavior," she said in a 2012 video for BeFiT. "Unfortunately, this scenario sets us up to fail." She cited research stating that 80% of dieters “will regain all or most of the weight that they lost within two years.” You won’t find her on a diet. “Fad diets are the ones promising unrealistic results. You should not try to lose more than two to three pounds per week, max," she said.

She Eats Breakfast

"Every morning, commit to starting the day with a nutritious breakfast. People who do so tend to lose weight," she said in the video. "Breakfast, by the way, is the most important meal of the day, and making a good choice there will set you up for success for the rest of the day."

She Cheats, in Moderation

Fonda also indulges on occasion. "You don't want to feel deprived," she points out in the video. "You can't sustain that over the long haul. So, if you have a piece of chocolate, it's OK—just don't eat the whole box, or maybe take a longer walk tomorrow."

"I eat a fairly healthy diet. I'm not rigid," she dished to Vogue. "I have cut way back on red meat. I've cut back on fish because fish supplies are dwindling. I eat vegetables. I eat salads. I eat fresh food. I'm just careful about what I eat. I don't eat a lot of sugar, except lately I have."

When She Eats More, She Exercises More

When Fonda indulges in "unhealthy" food, she exercises more. "I was in Italy for two and a half months making the sequel to Book Club, and ate gelato and pasta every single day while I was there," she told Vogue. "But I never gained weight. I would get up at six in the morning before the heat hit and walk for an hour, hour and a half, two hours on days when the work permitted me to do that. I walk a lot, and that helps me."

1. She Didn’t Exercise When She Was Younger

Loni was late to the fitness game. “I didn’t get into a regular exercise routine until my late 30s,” she confessed to Parade. “I could eat donuts and malted milk balls and didn’t gain a pound because genetics was on my side. I was an unfit skinny person. Now I do cardio three times a week, and also weight training, plus I walk a lot—I don’t run because of a back injury. I lifted a rock and ruptured a disk in the past.”

2. Her Diet Is Healthy

Pre Veterans Day Tribute & Signing Of 'Dear Bob: Bob Hope's Wartime Correspondence with the G.I.s of World War II'Michael Tullberg/Getty Images

Loni focuses on eating clean, whole foods. “I’m eating a version of the Mediterranean and Paleo Diets,” she explained to Parade. “I don’t eat red meat any longer, but do eat some chicken and fish, lots of fruits and vegetables, and nothing in a can or a box.”

3. She Indulges On Occasion

Loni allows herself a cheat meal every once and awhile, and nothing is off limits! “I don’t say, ‘I won’t eat THAT because I never say never,’” she told Parade. “I might eat a candy bar.”

4. She Doesn’t Drink Alcohol

Loni stays away from the hard stuff. “I don’t drink alcohol—occasionally a glass of champagne,” she revealed to Parade.

5. She Embraces Her Sex Symbol Status

“I never thought I would be Loni Anderson, sex symbol. But I embrace it,” she told Fox News. “I think I was lucky enough to have been able to play so many different things and sex symbol was a part of it. I took whatever my career threw at me. So I embrace it. And my granddaughters think it’s a hoot!”

6. Her Advice: Enjoy Every Single Day

Pre Veterans Day Tribute & Signing Of 'Dear Bob: Bob Hope's Wartime Correspondence with the G.I.s of World War II'Michael Tullberg/Getty Images

Loni has one piece of wisdom when it comes to life: “Don’t keep looking forward to what’s coming, enjoy the climb," she told Fox News. “There’s nothing more wonderful than the climb, you know? The looking forward to each day and creating something new, getting that job, going on an audition, putting yourself out there - that's all great. But you can’t forget to enjoy the climb. I guess that’s the best thing you could do when it comes to your life. Don’t forget to enjoy the day while you’re looking forward to what’s going to happen next week.”

1. Halle Berry Is Devoted to Keto

93rd Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals Getty Images

Halle Berry, 54, has been a devotee of the keto diet long before it became a trend. After first being diagnosed with diabetes at 22, the former Bond girl adopted a keto-like diet and has been on it ever since. “My doctors told me I'd have to keep an eye on how I ate to stay healthy, and I took it to heart. I wanted to get off of insulin, so I decided to say goodbye to processed carbs and sugar like baked goods and white bread—and it has seriously paid off,” she wrote in an essay for Women’s Health. “For more than 15 years, eating this way has helped me manage my diabetes—but it's also given me a ton of energy and helped me maintain my weight and stay in shape.”

2. Carrie Underwood Counts Macros

56th Academy Of Country Music Awards - ShowKevin Mazur/Getty Images

Carrie Underwood used to count calories, but the “wannabe vegan” now keeps track of macros. She works with nutritionist Cara Clark, focusing on maintaining a healthy balance of 25 percent protein, 45 percent carbs and 30 percent fat. "I love rules," Underwood admits. Her diet consists of eggs (but only ones laid by chickens in her backyard), lots of fruits and veggies, Ezekiel toast, vegan meat and tofu, dark chocolate, and even red wine. "I do have my vice," she admitted to Women’s Health.

3. Jennifer Aniston Does Intermittent Fasting

Jennifer Aniston’s secret to maintaining her fabulous figure in her fifties? She skips breakfast.

"I do intermittent fasting, so there's no food in the morning," she told Radio Times (via CNBC) in 2019. "I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours." Instead of eating in the am, she sips on coffee and celery juice. And, of course, she does allow herself one “cheat day” on Sunday.

4. Beyonce Went Vegan

63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards – TelecastKevin Winter/Getty Images

Beyoncé famously ditched animal products on the 22 Days Nutrition program in preparation for her post-baby Coachella performance in 2018. She was so impressed with the physical and mental results, that she partnered up with her trainer and nutritionist, Marco Borges, on the program. “We know the power of vegetables,” Borges said in a video of Bey’s vegan journey to Coachella. “Plant-based is really about eliminating all of the overly processed foods that don’t do us any good anyways. When you’re eating plant-based you will definitely have more energy.”

During the video, the star munches on veggies while doing her thing. “It’s time to work, so I have to get in that zone, it’s like a different headspace,” she said. “Me getting the weight off was so much easier than getting back in shape and my body feeling comfortable.”

5. Jennifer Lopez Is Devoted to Clean Eating

Global Citizen VAX LIVE: The Concert To Reunite The WorldKevin Winter/Getty Images

Jennifer Lopez is the poster girl for looking fabulous in her fifties. She recently appeared on the cover of InStyle's The Beauty Issue, flaunting her rock hard swimsuit bod. "I'm in the best shape of my life," she admitted. J.Lo doesn't follow a specific diet—she makes healthy and clean eating a lifestyle. "You got to work out, you got to watch what you eat," she told Us Weekly. "It's a job— you've got to buckle down." Her trainer, Dodd Romero, revealed that her ultra-clean diet consists of five basic categories: protein, vegetables, fats, carbohydrates and water. She "stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources," he revealed. Egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast, grass-fed beef, salmon and sea bass, nuts, veggies (minus carrots and corn as they are higher in sugar than leafy greens), sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, rice bread and oatmeal, are all on her regular menu.

Suzanne Somers is forever young! The 74-year-old actress stripped down into a bodysuit and flaunted her gorgeous legs for the debut issue of Park Magazine. In it, she reveals exactly how she manages to look half her age. “Aging is amazing. Aging is something you should aspire to and look forward to and want,” she says in the interview. Read on for five of Suzanne Somers’ secrets to staying in shape and see the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. Her Diet Is Extremely Healthy

suzanne-somers-1Park Magazine

“I eat as though my life depends upon it, because I believe it does,” she said. She adds lots of antioxidant rich herbs and spices to her food like thyme, rosemary, tarragon, mint, turmeric, chives, cayenne, cumin, and cinnamon. “It’s as though nature knew we’d be bombarded with free radicals and chemicals coming into our bodies all the time. Bringing these antioxidants into your food helps eliminate free radicals.” She points out infusing any meal with them is easy. For example, rub olive oil, rosemary and time all over an organic chicken. “When I eat this meal, I think it’s like healthy medicine I’m eating,” she gushed. “It’s just so delicious.”

2. She Is All About Supplements

2018 Carousel Of Hope Ball - ArrivalsPaul Archuleta/FilmMagic

Suzanne follows a detailed regime of alternative and integrative medicine, including supplements, enzymes, and peptides. She explains that taking omega-3s helps keep cell membranes pliable, leaving room for air and water to flush toxic chemicals out. According to Suzanne an abundance of malfunctioning cells can lead to diseases, including cancer, from lack of nutrition, hydration, and oxygen. “We need air and water in our bodies to be more energetic,” she adds. She herself takes fish oil in the morning and evening. “People say, ‘Fish oil, ugh! It’s something our mothers made us take, cod liver oil.’ Our mothers had wisdom!”

3. Good Health Makes Her Happy

“I have to say that since I embraced health, I have never enjoyed life more,” she said. “I like the way I look. I like the way I feel. I like my energy. I have wisdom. I have perspective, and I can tell you that aging can be so incredible if you know how to approach it. It takes a little bit of work. It’s about health; about shifting your thinking and understanding what it is that’s making us sick and how we can combat it.”

4. She Listens to Her Body

Celebrities Visit SiriusXM - January 6, 2020Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images

Suzanne explains that eating right, getting enough sleep, and hormonal balance are key factors to healthy aging. “These are all connected,” she stresses. This is why you need to listen to your body’s signs. “We have to learn the language of our bodies. Itching, bitching, lack of sleep, sweating, bloating, forgetfulness, being dried up; that’s the body talking,” she says. “Listen to your body,” she advises. “You can’t sleep unless you balance your hormones.”

5. She Takes Hormones

7th Biennial UNICEF Ball Los AngelesAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

“Hormones are not just for menopausal women. Hormones are for all of us, they’re the juice of youth, governing every aspect of our lives and emotions and health,” she says. While she didn’t start taking hormones until later in life, she wishes she had started in her thirties. “As we decline, we can now fill the tank with bioidentical hormones; not too much, not too little – exactly; optimal health. It’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened. It means that we can remain even all the way through, and as you get older you just need a little more,” she explained. They can also improve your sex life, she says. “When you don’t have hormones, you don’t care about sex. I mean, you can do it, but you’d rather have a smoothie.” And she attests to this. “I didn’t like being there. I used to really like it, and I had three miserable years.” She takes estrogen daily. “That’s my happy mood. And I’m telling you it’s nice to live with a woman who’s in a good mood every day because I didn’t used to be. So, now I know the difference.” Additionally, she applies progesterone at certain times each month, in order to help eliminate water weight. “That combination of estrogen and progesterone makes you feel really good, and there are days when you get a glint in your eye, and look at your husband and go, ‘Hello, sailor!’” she said laughing.

1. She Doesn’t Diet

Somers tells HollywoodLife that she doesn’t diet, and says that she isn’t afraid to indulge once in a while. “I eat real food,” she says. “I eat butter, cream, sour cream, olive oil, full fat cream cheese. I eat grass-fed or organic protein. All my food is organic. I’m never on a diet.”

2. She Eats Organic Food

Somers credits her healthy lifestyle to eating organic food. She tells HollywoodLife that she’s been eating organic food since her childhood. “Where I grew up everything was organic (even though they didn’t know it) because they weren’t spraying poison on our foods,” she says.

3. She Makes Smoothies In The Morning

Somers tells HollywoodLife that she’s a really big fan of making smoothies in the morning. She says that her go-to recipe includes kale, spinach, ginger, and apples. “I’m getting my three cups of vegetables a day, right there,” she says.

4. She Commits To Her Lifestyle

Celebrities Visit SiriusXM - January 6, 2020Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images

Somers is dedicated to her healthy lifestyle and eating well, and she says that this commitment helps her avoid cravings. “When you get yourself on a regimen where you’re eating right and not eating chemicals, you don’t get any strange cravings, because it’s the chemicals that cause the craving,” she explains to HollywoodLife. “The way that works is, when you eat, let’s say a fast food hamburger, the brain goes, ‘OK, I didn’t get what I needed there. I didn’t get the minerals. I didn’t get the right vitamins… Let’s just have some more.’”

5. She Uses A Thigh-Master

One of the things Somers is best known for is her Thigh-Master, which is a piece of exercise equipment that works your legs, specifically your thighs. On her website, she describes the product as, “This little wonder is still the best way to tone, shape and firm your inner thighs with just a few squeezes a day.”

Is 60 the new 50? When it comes to health and fitness, these movie stars show no sign of slowing down or giving up on their wellness routines—and all without restrictive or fad dieting. “For me, it’s a lifestyle, it’s a foundation for your future. Because your health is your greatest wealth. I really think that’s something everybody needs to invest in,” says actress and supermodel Christie Brinkley. So how do they do it? Here’s how Kevin Coster, Jane Seymour, Dolly Parton, and others stay so fit after 60.

1. Julianne Moore

New,York,,Ny,-,November,29:,Julianne,Moore,Attends,TheShutterstock

Julianne Moore, 62, swears by yoga and weights. "I try to do Ashtanga yoga two to three times a week," she says. "I've also started working out with a trainer, doing light weights and a lot of jumping around. The main problem is I can't do anything six days straight because I get hurt. That's the thing about old age, eventually your hip starts to hurt and you have to switch and do something else."

2. Christie Brinkley

New,York,,Ny,-,November,30,,2021:,Christie,Brinkley,WearingShutterstock

Christie Brinkley, 69 fits exercises into her daily routine. “I’ll drink like, five cups of coffee. When I finish that, I try to get exercise in,” she says. “As far as exercise goes, everyone always asks if I use the Total Gym and yes, I really do. But I also might go to a spin class or work with weights. I would say running is my favorite way to sweat, but I’m not really supposed to do that anymore because of injuries… Some days the only thing I can get in is a seven-minute run on the Total Gym. Then while I’m brushing my teeth, I’m doing leg lifts. When I’m drying my hair, I do all kinds of squats.”

3. Angela Bassett

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,March,08,,2023:,Angela,Bassett,At,TheShutterstock

Angela Bassett, 64, works out with a personal trainer for accountability. She does cardio, weights, and sometimes yoga. "I gotta pay, so I will show up, 'cause I don't want to waste my money. I know myself, and I will talk myself out of going," she says. "My workout quotient will diminish as the day goes on. [At the end of the week] it's about deep breathing, a massage or yoga. Actually, I don't do yoga, I go for the massage."

4. Madonna

New,York,City,,Usa,-,May,2,,2016:,Madonna,AttendsShutterstock

Madonna, 64 works out with a personal trainer at least five times a week. "Madonna does five to six workouts weekly that vary on a daily basis and focus on a variety of methods and training modalities," says trainer Craig Smith. "Her workouts include dance, resistance training, interval training, yoga, barre workouts, Pilates, aerobics, athletic conditioning, and circuit training. Dance is a great exercise modality because it is a well-balanced method that includes all of the essentials of fitness: cardio, strength, endurance, stability, balance, flexibility, and mobility."

5. Helen Mirren

Los,Angeles,-,Dec,02:,Helen,Mirren,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Helen Mirren, 77, focuses on healthy habits every day. “My advice is to work from the inside out,” she says. “First of all, take control of your diet and find one that makes you feel good. I’m the first one at the fish and chips, but what you’re putting inside your body does influence how you feel about yourself, so start there. The next thing is exercise, which doesn’t mean joining expensive gyms. I’m a big believer in the Canadian Air Force women’s exercise regime, which is 12 minutes. It is an exercise regime that starts from very low and easy, then if you follow it through, it can become quite difficult.”

6. Arnold Schwarzenegger

Shutterstock

Arnold Schwarzenegger, 75, limits red meat for the most part. “I would say the majority of my meals now have no meat,” he says. “But every so often I still make a steak and I still have my Wiener schnitzel when I go to Austria. I will never stop that: Everything that you do in moderation is not bad. I never call myself vegan, but I’ve learned that for health reasons and fitness reasons that it’s better for me at my age to just eat less meat. Also, there is some correlation between a healthy body and healthy Earth. It’s good for your body to eat less meat and it is also good for the Earth.”

7. Kevin Costner

Los,Angeles,,Ca,-,August,01,,2019:,Kevin,Costner,AttendsShutterstock

Kevin Costner, 68, has made it a point to stay active for his health and happiness (especially when his children were younger). “I’ve been real lucky about a lot of things in my life, but one of the things has been this ability to stay healthy,” he says. “I think one of the big things that helps me is that I don’t sit it out. I move. I get out there and take the biggest bite out of life that’s possible.”

8. Susan Sarandon

Los,Angeles,,Ca,-,January,11,,2017:,Susan,Sarandon,AtShutterstock

Susan Sarandon, 76, stays active by walking and hitting the treadmill. “If you want to age gracefully, you don’t smoke cigarettes and probably laugh a lot, and get the normal amount of exercise, and eat well and stay out of the sun would be the main things,” she says. “As is having an amazing makeup and hair team, that’s really the secret. It helps to live in New York because I walk everywhere. I ride my bike down the West Side Highway, and I get 30 minutes on the treadmill."

9. Jane Seymour

Los,Angeles,-,Jun,09:,Jane,Seymour,Arrives,For,AfiShutterstock

Jane Seymour, 72, still works out like a dancer. “Having been a dancer who quit when I was 17, my body is reminded every time I try to do any kind of ballet exercise,” she says. “My brain will tell it what it needs to do and my body will cramp up and say, ‘Not on your life.’ But, if I’m very careful, I can do some pliés and stretches, all of which I am doing in dressing rooms, at home, on the road, in hotel rooms, anywhere. Even at the airport. When I do workout, I tend to do Pilates reformer [exercises]. Because I do have [dance] injuries, it really helps me enormously. I also do gyrotonics, which does more of a rotation of the spine, which I find to be very important. And I got one of those power plate machines! If I stand on that and do any of those plies or squats or anything like that it sort of gives you quadruple the workout.”

10. Dolly Parton

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,February,08,,2019:,Dolly,Parton,At,TheShutterstock

Dolly Parton, 77, knows how important exercise is—but she admits she doesn’t enjoy having a regimented workout routine. “I hate exercise, like I hated school,” she says. “I watch my diet the best I can. I try and do low carb but if I see something I want to eat, I eat it, as I am a hog at heart. But exercise, I hate, hate, hate. I just do my diddly squats.”

11. Michelle Yeoh

Los,Angeles,-,Mar,4:,Michelle,Yeoh,At,The,2023Shutterstock

Michelle Yeoh, 60, says her mother is her role model when it comes to aging with grace. "For me, exercising is the most important," she says. "When I’m in New York, I love walking around Central Park. I mean, literally, the whole circle around the park... I get this glow after I exercise that comes right from your core… your skin looks better right away."

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Charli Hawkins is training in the snow – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.
