Jazz Jennings is a transgender reality star and actress. She and her family star in the TLC reality series, I Am Jazz. Jennings has been open about her weight loss journey on Instagram. In a recent post, she posed on the beach in workout gear. Jennings captioned the post, “I’m back to being a mermaid.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jazz Jennings stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Runs

Jennings likes to run to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself running with her dad. Jennings captioned the post, “‘There she is….the 2024 JAZZZZ’ - @gregory_scott_4 My dad is the BEST. So supportive and empathetic. Thanks for always being there for me. Now I just have to be consistent in order to reach my health goals!🩷🩷🩷 Baby steps.”

2. She Works Out With Others

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Jennings likes to workout with others, and finds that it helps her stay consistent. According to Iowa State University, there’s proof that working out with others has a lot of benefits. “Even if you’ve already decided exercising is something you want to do and intend to do, there are different kinds of motivation that can determine if you are successful at beginning and maintaining exercise. Exercising with others can boost those motivations.”

3. She’s An Activist

Jennings supports several different classes. She celebrated Pride at the White House last year. Jennings shared this post from the day on Instagram, and talked about the importance of protecting LGBTQ rights in the caption. “Pride at the White House! This was the largest Pride celebration in White House history🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ We must protect the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ people amid a state of ‘terrifying’ attacks and legislation. We must stand united!”

4. She Spends Time With Dogs

Jennings is an animal lover. She shared this post on Instagram of herself with a dog. Harvard Health states that spending time with dogs has a lot of benefits. “Dog owners are less prone to bouts of loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Simply petting your dog can make you feel less stressed. One of the greatest benefits of owning a dog is that it encourages you to practice mindfulness — being in the present moment and fully appreciating life. Mindfulness can help you relieve stress and also improves your overall health.”

5. She’s Comfortable With Herself

In a separate Instagram post, Jennings talked about her weight loss, and being comfortable with her body. “No matter my weight, I have always felt beautiful. However, losing this weight and prioritizing my health has created a shift within. The first step toward improving your well-being is caring. I finally care about myself after years of neglecting my health. I had truly let myself go when it came to eating. I am so proud of my weight loss, and I feel my confidence radiates through.”

Wrestling champion Nia Jax (real name Savelina Fanene) is taking a break from the madness of the fighting ring to relax, breathe, and enjoy the beauty of nature. Jax, 39, shared pictures of herself wearing black workout gear, looking zen and serene as she sat outside in a yoga pose. “Full of gratitude 🙏🏽,” she captioned the post. Here’s what inspired Jax to lose weight, gain a huge amount of confidence, and become an even better fighter.

1. Pilates and Personal Training

Jax says she is currently training in preparation for her return to the ring. "I am training. I'll train over at D-Von Dudley's ring,” she told Bill Apter, via Cultaholic. “He's great and then I go over to Nattie and TJ's [Natalya & TJ Wilson], so they run me through some drills and stuff like that and I have matches. I'll get in the ring every now and then with some of my friends like Charlotte [Flair] and her husband, Manny [Andrade El Idolo)... Right now, I'm enjoying being at home with my family. I have a new nephew and I've kind of started being obsessed with Pilates.”

2. Pickleball Matches

Jax enjoys pickleball matches with her friends, which is a great way to get a cardio workout while having fun. “I think one of the things that we as a society have underestimated is the benefit of being outdoors, and a lot of pickleball is played in the setting of existing tennis courts or other newer courts that are being specially designed for pickleball that are outdoors,” cardiologist and Harvard Medical School professor Dr. Calum MacRae tells CNBC. “Something like pickleball, which is an active, social sport and builds community, sustains people in regular exercise over time. It’s really something that for us is exciting to see.”

3. Losing 48 Pounds

https://twitter.com/LinaFanene/status/1647678220613853186?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1647678220613853186%7Ctwgr%5Ea4bb5a162542c72f194fd5468c7fe117ee866bcb%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sportskeeda.com%2Fwwe%2Fnia-jax-s-incredible-weight-loss-how-much-the-irresistible-force-lose

Jax lost a whopping 48 pounds in just six months after feeling uncomfortable at friend Charlotte Flair’s wedding. “Me to @MsCharlotteWWE after her wedding: ‘I feel gross & uncomfortable! I want to lose weight’. @MsCharlotteWWE to me: ‘Please let me help you! You got this woman.’ Officially started in October…6 months later, down 48lbs🥺🙏🏽 Sends me killer workouts and motivates me 💪🏾🥺,” Jax tweeted. Nice work!

4. No Glam Squad

Jax takes care of her own pre-ring prep, no glam squad needed or necessary. “I really take pride in doing my own make-up all the time which takes me about 40 minutes, and my hair takes another 15 to 20 minutes,” she told Metro. “Putting on my gear is probably another 15 minutes, so all in all I don’t think an hour and a half is too bad!”

5. Body Type Pride

Jax is proud to represent a different body type in the wrestling world. "I noticed they were always beautiful women but skinnier and smaller than me," she told Refinery29. "I just never really saw somebody like me in the business, and I didn't think that somebody like me would fit in to that business. Maybe a young girl seeing me and not feeling comfortable in her group can feel like, Oh my gosh, look, she went out there and she’s different and I look like her and she’s kicking ass and she’s taking names. Maybe one day I can do that and I should just embrace who I am.”

Whitney Way Thore Shows Off 100 Pound Weight Loss in New Video

Whitney Way Thore has lost 100 pounds – and she is showing off her slimmed down figure. In a new video the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star reveals that she is down to 285 pounds, modeling a cute outfit and celebrating her father’s birthday. She also addressed claims that her weight loss is the result of medical surgery. Here is what she had to say – and everything else we know about the reality star’s weight loss.

1. She Did “Not Have Medical Intervention to Lose Weight”

“I hate addressing this, but no, I have not had medical intervention to lose weight,” Whitney wrote in her post. “In 2015 (season 1), I weighed 385 pounds. In 2018, I lost 50 pounds. When my mom got sick and eventually died, I lost 50 more. I weigh 285 pounds and I have been this weight for almost a year now. This is the second time in my life I’ve lost 100 pounds. I’m still very fat. Thank you for the compliments, but I really don’t like obsessing over my body and I don’t like it when others do it either.”

2. In September, She Also Addressed Weight Loss Surgery Claims

“I think it's obvious that I have lost some weight and that is true," she said in a September 2023 interview with ET. “And people say, like, 'Is it surgery?' and I'm like, 'No, it's grief, but thanks,'" she said, mentioning the death of her mother. "I see a lot of chatter online and people have asked me, 'Have you had weight loss surgery?' or something like that. No I haven't," Whitney continued. "On the show, I'll talk about my weight more, but in my personal life, I don't really find it necessary to talk about how much I weigh. It's just not something that I care to focus on and talk about."

3. She Doesn’t Want to Be Your Weight Loss Inspiration

No,Thanks.,?????if,You,Say,That,Something,Happens,No,ThanksShutterstock

“I’m just not out here to be anybody’s weight loss inspiration,” Whitney shared in another post, according to PEOPLE. “If you’re inclined to be inspired by me I appreciate that, I see you, but I’m just a complex human being focusing on a lot of other things in life besides losing weight. So it’s just not something I will ever feel comfortable saying thank you for.”

4. She Has a Fitness App

Whitney is a big proponent of exercise. She founded No BS Active, a size inclusive fitness app designed for people of all sizes that "makes workouts work for you by providing multiple modifications with clear instructions for all levels," per the app's description.

5. She Does Water Workouts

Whitney also gets her sweat on in the pool. In a video shared in January 2023, Whitney works out in the pool with her pops. Exercising in water is great for your joints, as it is low impact.

6. She Understands That “Thinness Does Not Equal Happiness”

“Most of my adult life consisted of dramatic weight gain, a PCOS diagnosis, self-loathing & a non-stop desire to lose weight and be this girl again — until I realized how insane this was,” Whitney wrote on Instagram in 2018, per Life & Style. “I know, because I’ve lived it, that thinness does not equal happiness and it does not equal physical or mental health.”

7. She Loves Herself

“The woman I am now can dance with reckless abandon. She can frolic in a bikini. She can demand love and respect that is not contingent on her dress size. The woman I am now can LIVE, knowing that I am completely deserving of every single wonderful thing this world has to offer,” she continued in the same post.

Jasmine Sanders is turning up the heat in Charleston – in her swimsuit. In one of her latest social media posts, the model-slash-influencer, who also goes by the nickname “Golden Barbies,” shows off her famous figure in a tiny bathing suit. “You can thank my niece for these ☺️ Couldn’t pick a fave - what’s yours?” she asked her 6 million-plus Instagram followers. How does the 32-year-old maintain her gorgeous physique? Here are her best pieces of health and wellness advice.

1. Size and Weight Don’t Matter

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,23:,Jasmine,Sanders,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Jasmine doesn’t pay attention to the numbers. “I don’t mind what size I am. I honestly couldn’t tell you my jeans size because I haven’t worn them in forever. I’m in activewear all the time because that’s what I’m comfortable wearing daily,” she told Fox News. “I’ve been different sizes over the years. I was extremely tiny at some point, still healthy, but very small in the eyes of a lot of people,” she continued. “Now that I’m older – I’ve been in the industry for over 15 years – I feel like I’ve made a pretty nice name for myself. I know how to maintain the weight that I’m at or lose at a healthy rate. But more importantly, I want to make sure I'm feeling my best self mentally. So I would tell girls to embrace your curves. Feel good about yourself, no matter what size you are. I work out to feel good and experience life. I want to feel comfortable in the skin that I’m in. And it doesn’t matter what the measuring tape says.”

2. Hit the Gym

If you want a fit figure like Jasmine, you will have to work for it. “I definitely try to do faster cardio in the morning just to get it out of the way. And then if I can, I’ll do some type of activity outside, like jump rope. But I also focus a lot on my legs like squats, lunges, and mountain climbers,” she told Fox News. “I also have a StairMaster. But if I’m not doing that, I go on a bike ride down the beach. I also like meeting up with friends to work out right before a shoot because I want to prepare myself mentally more than anything.”

3. Focus on Maintaining a Balanced Diet

Cooked,Organic,Alaskan,King,Crab,Legs,With,ButterShutterstock

Jasmine recommends a protein-centric diet. She does cheat on occasion. “I love crab legs and crab boils. I have a friend who makes amazing crab boils and he delivers them to my house. I like my pasta. I’ve been loving burgers lately and I’m not really a burger girl,” she told Fox News. “But I try to balance it out throughout the day. If I eat something like a burger, then I’ll have my salads and get some grains in. I think moderation is key.”

4. Take ACV Shots

Milan,,Italy,-,September,21:,Jasmine,Sanders,Attends,The,AmfarShutterstock

Jasmine maintains that “leading up to a swimsuit shoot, I definitely eat healthily. I take my vitamins. I do apple cider vinegar in the morning.” Why ACV? “For me, I just feel like it helps with my digestive system. I feel better after a couple of days of taking it. A lot of my friends can’t drink it and hate the taste of it *laughs*. I like to add a little bit of water and lemon to make it taste a little better. But I don’t taste it anymore,” she added.

5. Do Pilates

Jasmine maintains that Pilates is essential for preparing her body for rigorous modeling shoots. “You have to be strong enough to hold these positions for a long time. You’re popping your body and contorting it in a certain way,” she told Fox News. “I find Pilates really helpful, especially when you’re modeling and holding poses for a long time. At the end of a shoot, your body gets really tired and you’re exhausted. And for some shoots, you have to do that for two, three days in a row. It can be a lot on your body. But I also love stretching after a shoot. It’s all about finding ways to keep moving and staying active throughout your day.”

1. She Worked “Hard” For Her Body

In the new Instagram post, Jana explains that it isn’t a “thirst trap” photo, or an “I want attention post” or a “post to make you compare your body to mine,” but is more about her feeling proud of her body. “Because when I look at this photo, I see strength. If I’m honest, I lost a little too much weight after my divorce, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the number I saw. But that’s an unhealthy way to look at it. It should never be about the number. It should be about how you feel,” she explained. “I have been actively becoming strong again for me. I look at this pic now and I’m proud of myself for the hard work and commitment to loving myself. This body made two beautiful humans. I’m proud of my body." She mentioned feeling even better after her breast augmentation and promoted Natrelle Breast Augmentation.

2. She Works Out with a Trainer

In a recent Instagram story, she revealed that they pretty much follow Oprea’s Pretty Muscles app workouts. “I work out with Erin two times a week,” she explained. The duo do “a ton of squats, sumo squats, lunges.”

3. Running Helped Her “Lean Out”

Jana’s go to diet rule? “I personally think everything in moderation,” she revealed. “I had a chocolate chip cookie last night. I will eat another one tonight. I don’t think you should deprive yourself of anything. I think, eat when you are hungry. But all-around diet is how I do it.”

5. Exercise Boosts Her Mental Health

“Still not feeling 100 percent,” Jana explained earlier this year in an Instagram story video. “But I'm still going to run it out, sweat it out." She once explained to Us Weekly that the mental health benefits of exercise are a motivating factor. “Working out for me is my sanity…Even just going for a walk, that is a place where I come back and I'm like, 'I feel good, I feel balanced. Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
