Jazz Jennings is a transgender reality star and actress. She and her family star in the TLC reality series, I Am Jazz. Jennings has been open about her weight loss journey on Instagram. In a recent post, she posed on the beach in workout gear. Jennings captioned the post, "I'm back to being a mermaid." How does she stay so fit? She Runs

Jennings likes to run to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself running with her dad. Jennings captioned the post, "'There she is….the 2024 JAZZZZ' – @gregory_scott_4 My dad is the BEST. So supportive and empathetic. Thanks for always being there for me. Now I just have to be consistent in order to reach my health goals!🩷🩷🩷 Baby steps."

She Works Out With Others

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Jennings likes to workout with others, and finds that it helps her stay consistent. According to Iowa State University, there's proof that working out with others has a lot of benefits. "Even if you've already decided exercising is something you want to do and intend to do, there are different kinds of motivation that can determine if you are successful at beginning and maintaining exercise. Exercising with others can boost those motivations."

She's An Activist

Jennings supports several different classes. She celebrated Pride at the White House last year. Jennings shared this post from the day on Instagram, and talked about the importance of protecting LGBTQ rights in the caption. "Pride at the White House! This was the largest Pride celebration in White House history🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ We must protect the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ people amid a state of 'terrifying' attacks and legislation. We must stand united!"

She Spends Time With Dogs

Jennings is an animal lover. She shared this post on Instagram of herself with a dog. Harvard Health states that spending time with dogs has a lot of benefits. "Dog owners are less prone to bouts of loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Simply petting your dog can make you feel less stressed. One of the greatest benefits of owning a dog is that it encourages you to practice mindfulness — being in the present moment and fully appreciating life. Mindfulness can help you relieve stress and also improves your overall health."

She's Comfortable With Herself

In a separate Instagram post, Jennings talked about her weight loss, and being comfortable with her body. "No matter my weight, I have always felt beautiful. However, losing this weight and prioritizing my health has created a shift within. The first step toward improving your well-being is caring. I finally care about myself after years of neglecting my health. I had truly let myself go when it came to eating. I am so proud of my weight loss, and I feel my confidence radiates through."
