Jen Widerstrom is a fitness expert and podcaster. She is currently training with gladiators. Wiederstrom shared her secrets for staying motivated in a video on Instagram. In it, she is seen on a treadmill. Widerstom says in the video, “I don't want to be here. Want to be here, be here, but come anyways. I'm not homesick because I'm loving every minute here with our pierce, but time is weird. I've got enough in my system to feed a small horse. I miss my bed. I miss the people I care about. But the one thing that always makes me feel better is a gym. I'm going to walk for 10 minutes. I'm going to pick up something heavy, move it slow, move it well, and then go have breakfast with the rest of the gladiators. Lots of protein, lots of water, lots of coffee, and the world will be right again. Just didn't want you guys to think I was perfect.”

1. She Uses A Treadmill

In her Instagram post, Widerstrom is seen on a treadmill. According to Healthy Talbot, this has a lot of benefits. “Treadmill working is an aerobic/ cardio exercise. Studies demonstrate that aerobic exercise can minimize the risk of heart diseases. Moreover, they can strengthen your heart muscles. This helps to lower blood pressure and allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently. Most doctors recommend aerobic exercise to people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.”

2. She Strength Trains

Widerstom shares a lot of fitness tips on Instagram. She shared three in this post’s caption. In it, she revealed that she does a lot of strength training. “Heavy Strength Training. You need to push your effort to an 8 or 9/10 RPE (rate of perceived exertion) in your lifting sessions, 2-3x weekly. (🧐Do you have a strength program yet? Let me know below.)”

3. She Eats Protein

In the same post’s caption, Widerstrom talked about her diet. She revealed that she eats a lot of protein. “Consistency in Protein. Thanks to trailblazing research by @drstacysims we now know that women NEED 1.8-2.2g of protein per kilo of their bodyweight throughout EACH DAY and ideally 40g of that protein is consumed within 30 minutes of completing your workout!”

4. She Takes Care Of Her Gut

Gut,Health,Lettering,Sign,Made,With,Colorful,Background,And,WhiteShutterstock

Widerstrom also revealed in the previous post that she prioritizes her gut health. “Feeding My Microbiome. Believe it or not, your gut health is responsible for generating hormones that regulate your metabolism keeping you at a leaner body composition, building muscle, optimize bone density, and even supports your sleep quality! To begin to build a better relationship with your Microbiome, focus on consuming 25g fiber from plants DAILY. Try zucchini, cucumber, mushrooms, spinach, green peas, cauliflower.”

5. She Works Her Arms

Widerstrom shared her favorite arm workout in this Instagram video. She captioned it, “My ☝️ favorite arm combo for creating hard but *not bigger* arm muscles! 5 ROUNDS of: 6-10x Half-rep Tricep Push ups. SS. 10-12x Triple-pump Banded Curls. SS. 60-90sec REST. YOU SHOULD BE GASSED by the end of this!! And if you’re not, it means you need to go slower on your push-ups (keep those 90° angles in your elbows) and heavier on your bands while still hitting full extension of your biceps after every third pump!!”

Whitney Wiser is a former fitness competitor. She currently shares a lot of her tips on Instagram. Wiser recently posted a set of photos of herself in the gym. She Prioritizes Her Health

Wiser goes on a lot of retreats. She makes sure to prioritize her health. In the caption of this Instagram post, Wiser advertised a retreat for prioritizing gut health. “This Elevate Strength Summit will definitely be the best yet. Going in depth on gut health and hormone balance is going to be key in optimizing health in 2025 and for years to come! Not to mention the beach workouts at BVI Stronger Gym are the best 💪🏼 Everyone deserves to live in a body that is strong with energy TO OVERCOME AND PERSEVERE life’s obstacles. It’s not selfish to invest in your health.. It’s your responsibility to your family and to humanity to be strong and more than capable.”

She Sets Goals

Wiser opened up about her fitness journey in the caption of this Instagram post. She revealed that setting goals is one of the things that help her. “Fitness has been more than just building a body… it’s built a LIFE for me! And it didn’t happen overnight. In 2009 when I started bodybuilding, I had already been in the gym lifting weights for 5 years, but the difference was the intention behind it. When you have a specific goal and purpose, only then will you achieve the results. Purpose is powerful. If you’re going to the gym with no idea of what you actually want to look like or feel like… there’s no intention behind what you’re doing and you won’t see changes. I saw a picture of a female with very feminine looking muscle on the cover of a magazine in 2009 and from that point on I knew what muscle could look like on a woman’s body and wanted that look! Up until then I only saw muscle as very masculine looking and unappealing to me. You have to have a vision to achieve what you want. From playing sports, to bikini bodybuilding (and figure 😜), to sponsored athlete and fitness model… my vision developed over time but I knew what I wanted to achieve.”

She Has Hope

Wiser is a hopeful person. She talked about the importance of it in the caption of this post. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick. If we don’t intentionally fill our mind with good, hopeful thoughts & leave it empty, then it will get filled with every energy draining negative thought that exists. If we don’t intentionally plan our schedule to include the habits & activities that keep us strong & healthy, then we won’t have great health. Success, in any area, has to be intentionally planned for.”

She's Consistent

Wiser talked about the importance of consistency in the caption of this Instagram post. “Consistency always wins. However, ‘consistency’ does not mean ‘perfection’ or even ‘showing up’ EVERY day. This could relate to any topic, but regarding your workouts, you don’t have to go to the gym EVERY day or even 5-6 days per week to reach your goals. I used to think that if I missed several days of workouts in a row that my muscle would automatically just disappear and all my progress would be lost 🫠😅I’m so glad that is absolutely NOT the case or I would have lost it all several times already!”

She Strength Trains

One thing Wiser does to keep herself in shape is strength train. She explained why in the caption of this Instagram post. “Working out. I need weight training just as much mentally as I need it physically. (Most of us probably do 😁). My training has changed quite a bit over the years, but I still want to look like an athlete…Even though my time competing on stage is done. Now is my time to help others who are in that season of their life to be the very best they can be, on stage and beyond the stage.”

Aimee Fuller is a professional snowboarder. She has competed in the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics. Fuller recently started writing for In The Snow Magazine. She recently shared some of her favorite workouts on Instagram. She captioned the post, “My Second column has dropped with @inthesnow_magazine to get you #SKISTRONG ahead of your winter trip. In this edition of SKI FIT, we look at strength training to get ‘ski strong’ and how we can prepare our bodies for the mountain. Enough of the summer beach body… for us mountaingoers, it’s all about the WINTER BODY. Strength and conditioning was always a huge part of my routine as a former Olympic snowboarder, and by building strength we can unlock the doors to increased performance.”

She Does Lunges

In her Instagram post, Fuller revealed that she does two different types of lunges: curtsey and step backs. ACE Fitness states that lunges have a lot of health benefits. “Lunges work the biggest muscles in your lower body — mainly the quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and the adductor magnus (the muscle in your inner thigh). Other muscles that come into play are the hamstrings, gluteus medius, calves, and core stabilizers, says Susane Pata, content strategist for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and NASM-certified personal trainer based in Miami.”

She Doesn’t Drink When She Train

Woman,Saying,No,And,Avoiding,Drinking,Alcohol.,Concept,Of,Alcoholism,Shutterstock

Fuller shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. “During the winter, I drop alcohol,” she says. “I get really run down when I drink, and I can’t afford to miss a training session or have hungover rest days. The training is so brutal that rest days need to be rest days – recovery is key.”

She Prepares Herself

In her Women’s Health interview, Fuller shared how she manages the pressure of competitions. “I deal with the pressure by making sure I’m ready for anything,” she says. “Every day the conditions change (people and snow) and I have to be able to adapt and not let it stress me out. I also find prioritizing chill time away from social media with my boyfriend helps.”

She Preps Healthy Meals

Fuller tells Women’s Health that one of her secrets for eating healthy is meal prepping. “When it comes to food…I’ve learned that I need to prep a lunch box of clean food otherwise I don’t have enough energy to get through a savage 4-hour training session. Each day I cram a Tupperwear with quinoa and chicken or tuna and sweet potato. Healthy, starchy carbs keep me going and I’m not fussed about being the one with a packed lunch up the mountain.”

She Does Cardio

Fuller does a lot of cardio to keep herself in shape. She tells Women’s Health that she mainly does cardio in the off-season. “This year I made my winter body in the summer: I increased my heavy leg sessions in the gym and cardio time on bike and now I’m feeling lean, fast and strong. It’s this feeling that’s made me more motivated than ever to maximize every chance I get to ride.

These last few weeks have been filled with pushing myself both mentally and physically, I really didn’t know if I could do it. But I have learnt every time I take on a new challenge I get far more back in return. I pretty much smiled my way around the 26.2 miles yesterday. NYC crowds are just sooooo incredible. I wanna say a huge thankyou to the number of strangers who cheered me on as well as my incredible friends who gave me so much energy! She Plays Tennis

Its low-impact nature also means your joints and bones will thank you.”

She Hikes

Just spent the last two weeks off the grid exploring the Grand Canyon - traveling down the Colorado river, white water rafting and camping with a group of 15 of us. It was already a scary trip for me as I have never done anything like this but an extra challenge from having fractured my wrist 3 weeks before! But the challenges made it 100 x more rewarding! Will share some pictures to try and show you just how incredible the Grand Canyon is 🙌🏽 Very proud of myself for doing it and grateful to be one of the few people who get to see this part of the world in this way!”

Jen Widerstrom is a renowned fitness trainer and author, best known for her work on The Biggest Loser. She frequently shares wellness advice on Instagram, including tips for staying consistent with workouts. In a recent selfie caption, she reminded her followers to prioritize movement, saying, “All you need is 20 minutes to change your mood and upgrade your health.”

1. She Values Digestions

Widerstrom shared some of her diet tips in an interview with Women’s Running. She says that digestion and spacing out eating is extremely important. “Put the portions on your plate that make sense, sit down, eat the meal. If in an hour, you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m ravenous, I need to eat more’, well then that’s okay, eat more, but nine times out of 10 you’re not going to still be hungry. Give yourself a little time to digest.”

2. She Likes One Ingredient Foods

When it comes to Widerstrom’s diet, the simpler a food is, the better. “Your body metabolizing at its best is key to losing weight, but also for building lean muscle,” she explained to Laura’s Lean Beef. “Therefore, I am a huge advocate of one ingredient foods because they are easily recognizable and digestible in your body. This is critical when it comes to absorbing all the nutritional value of your meals, but also for completing that exchange of unwanted pounds for lean muscle tissue. What is a one ingredient food you ask? A one ingredient food is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a food with one single ingredient. For example, when you hold an apple in your hand, or a sweet potato, or a blueberry, it only has one name to describe it. Nothing added. It just is what it is. They're right in front of you…. everywhere! In getting more comfortable with this concept, simply look at the nutrition facts of the foods already in your home. By law, every ingredient must be listed so read up on what you’ve been ingesting. If there is a long ingredient list or if there are items there that you don’t even recognize let alone can pronounce, then I would urge you to change out that item in your meal plan for something with as few ingredients as possible.”

3. She Enjoys Her Wellness Routine

Widerstrom opened up about her wellness journey and body transformation in the caption of this Instagram post. She says that enjoying her diet and exercise was a big help for her. “I finally snapped out of it, realizing I would never feel complete if I didn’t make myself responsible for my own health and happiness. I chose workouts that I enjoyed vs. ones that I felt were like punishment. There are foods that I knew were healthy that I hated so I just avoided those. But I did focus on eating more vegetables, higher quality proteins and less food on the go/eating out.🙅🏻”

4. She Doesn’t Care About What She Looks Like

Widerstrom also revealed in her Instagram caption that she doesn’t care about what she looks like. “The biggest mental shift happened when I finally stopped working out just for my waistline and really began to make these decisions because I felt at my best when I did so. I own my #health now because I love who I am when I am connected to it. That’s what makes it stick for me, it’s never about fitting in a dress.”

5. She Weight Trains

Widerstrom shared some of her favorite foods and exercises in the caption of the Instagram post. She says that she loves to strength train to keep herself in shape. “By far my favorite is interval based weight training.🏋🏻‍♀️Moderate weight moved efficiently under shorter time caps. The work is hard, explosive and athletic, but there’s always rest waiting for you.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram
