Dancing is obviously one of the things that keeps Jenna in shape. In an interview with People, she encouraged everyone to try it out. “I think people are so nervous to try an actual dance class because maybe they don’t have the right technique or they’re at a certain level, but I think anyone should dance and should try it,” she says. “You’re challenging your mind as well as your body and it’s engaging a lot of different muscles that you wouldn’t necessarily use on the treadmill or the elliptical.”

Jenna makes sure to eat a healthy diet. In her People interview, she shared her favorite lunch and snacks that keep her full and energized. “For lunch, it’s really important to incorporate leafy greens,” Jenna said. “So I’ll always try to have a salad of some sort with either chicken or some turkey or quinoa and then I love to snack on carrots and hummus, I love pretzels even. I feel like they kind of I expand in my stomach and keep me a bit more full.”

She Knows What Works For Her

Jenna’s fitness routine is specifically catered to her, and isn’t based on what others are doing. She encouraged people to do the same in her People interview. “I think we all have these preconceived notions that were going to be judged and we’re doing things wrong,” she says. “If you have no expectations for yourself you’re going to enjoy the process so much more. Don’t try to be anyone else, you need to know your body first and you need to find out what works for you.”

4

She Has Rest Days

Jenna has a busy schedule, but that doesn’t mean she won’t take a day off for herself. “I would say allowing myself to have a rest day is huge,” she told New Beauty. “Just taking a day where I’m not feeling super stressed out or getting on myself that I didn’t work out that day or I haven’t done so many things. I think a recharge is so important for not only my body’s sake, but also for my mental health.”

5

She Loves Pilates

Jenna loves to do Pilates to keep herself in shape. “I know that I’m very active for my work in general, but I think that working out or moving my body in a way that doesn’t have to do with work is good for my mental health,” she said to New Beauty. “It’s that endorphin release. I’m into hot pilates right now. That helps my mental health by helping me decompress.”
