1. She Does Plank Exercises

Let’s do this… let’s choose to take care of ourselves, together💕I love sharing my private workouts with you all and hearing how it’s motivating you! So keep messaging me…. and I’ll keep motivating you, deal?”

2. She Does Ab Exercises

Garth makes sure to do ab exercises. In her Instagram video, she is seen doing mountain climbers. The Mayo Clinic states that building core muscles is very beneficial. “Your core is the central part of your body. It includes your pelvis, lower back, hips and stomach. The stomach muscles sometimes are called abs. Core exercises train the muscles in your core to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and steadiness, also called stability. Stability is important whether you're on the playing field or doing regular activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.”

3. She Strength Trains

In her Instagram video, Garth is seen doing some strength training exercises. She is seen holding a kettlebell and doing bicep presses with dumbbells. The Mayo Clinic states that strength training has a lot of benefits. “By stressing your bones, strength training can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”

4. She Does Squats

In her Instagram video, Garth is seen balancing on a ball while doing squats. Allina Health states that squats have a lot of health benefits. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

5. She Eats A Healthy Diet

Garth makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She talked about her favorite options in an interview with Us Weekly. "I'm just taking care of myself,” she says. “I eat a lot of Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt in the morning, salads and proteins the rest of the day and maybe a cupcake if I've been a good girl."

Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth is sticking to her workout routine throughout the holiday season, and sharing her moves online. Garth, 52, posted a video of herself wearing white pants and a black tank top, doing a strength-training workout at the gym. “Holiday Workout Hustle: The holidays can be tough on routines, but your dedication is tougher. One rep at a time. We got this! 💪” she captioned the post. Garth is thriving in her 50s—here’s how the actress prioritizes her health and wellness, and stays focused on her goals.

Morning Smoothie

Garth starts her day off with a healthy smoothie made using plant-based protein. “I try to set my day off on the right foot by telling myself everything is going to go the way I want it to—mapping that out in my brain, creating those pathways and telling myself today is going to be a great day,” she told EatingWell. “Then, I get up and I make a really action-packed smoothie full of nutrients. You have to put in a frozen banana. I usually use half a banana, frozen orange, frozen mango, then a ginormous handful of fresh spinach. Then, MCT oil, flaxseed oil, two dates, a whole lemon with the rind and everything. Just throw that right in there. Add ice, Planet Oat milk, bee pollen and an unflavored plant-based protein. Oh, and a chunk of ginger!”

Heart Healthy Diet

Garth says diet is the most important thing for a healthy heart. “I focus on that, in addition to exercise,” she told EatingWell. “And I always encourage people who have heart disease in their genetics to find a cardiologist, have a conversation with them so you are proactive in taking care of yourself. If you don't take care of yourself, no one is going to, and I think that would be one of the great ways to start taking care of your heart.”

Workouts and Me-Time

Jennie Garth shares a selfie to promote her podcast, "I Choose Me."

Garth prioritizes her workouts. “I work out three days a week. I carve out that time for myself, and I really honor that hour and don't ever change it,” she told EatingWell. “I do that for overall physical wellbeing. Especially as you get older, you need to make sure your muscles are strong. I walk my dogs in the mountains a lot, and I’m always zooming around doing something. I play golf, also; you’re outside in nature, and it’s just a really nice way to spend time.”

Fitness Competitions

Garth is thinking about entering a fitness competition as her next goal. “I just want to improve my posture. I want to have my core strength so I don’t get lumpy,” she told TODAY. “I live to the max, so I don’t want to slow down. I always say if you’re slower, you’re not growing. So, I don’t have any plan of slowing down.”

Strength Training

Weight training is a key part of Garth’s workout regimen under the guidance of personal trainer Jason Cohen, who has her do full-body workouts. “As we age, we lose bone density, and for me, I want to keep my muscles strong,” she told TODAY, adding that she "used to hate working out. But now I really do look forward to it because I know how good I feel after I do it. It does provide me with something that I really do need in my life… I usually do like 12 to 15 reps a set.”

Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth is dedicated to her fitness routine—even on the weekends. Garth, 52, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a sports bra, doing an intense strength training session at the gym. “I know I know, it’s Saturday. This is for my weekend warriors… We have to fit it in when we can because taking care of ourselves has to be top priority. Happy Saturday! I love you. 🖤JG,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the 90s icon is thriving in her 50s.

1. Plant-Based Diet

Garth enjoys a mostly plant-based diet. “There are so many non-meat, non-dairy options available nowadays,” she told Future of Personal Health. “You can get plant-based butter at most grocery stores now, and milk alternatives, like oat, almond, and cashew to name a few. Even if you don’t think you’ll like the taste, try it. You might be surprised.”

2. Protecting Her Heart

The,Woman,Is,Holding,A,Red,Heart.,Concept,For,Charity,Shutterstock

Garth is especially concerned about health and wellness as her father had his first heart attack at just 37. “Not only did it drastically change my life circumstances, it educated me to the seriousness of the disease and the impact it has on not just the individual, but the whole family,” she told Future of Personal Health.

3. Return of 90s Fashion

Garth is thrilled 90s fashion is back in vogue. “I love high-waisted jeans, and I’m glad they’re back. I never let go of maxi dresses or babydoll dresses with combat boots” she told First For Women. “That’s another favorite look of mine. Beverly Hills, 90210 was one of the first times we really saw young women wearing menswear-inspired outfits. There were lots of blazers and vests, and I love that, too.”

4. Confidence In Her 50s

Garth says she is not the same person she used to be. “I’m much more patient and more thoughtful,” she told First For Women. “I try to control how I say things a lot more than I used to. I think every decade of a woman’s life represents something different, and turning 50 really gave me confidence in myself. It’s not about how I look. It’s more of an internal confidence that goes with me wherever I go. It’s not that I don’t care as much what other people think, I just don’t put so much weight on it.”

5. Be Your Own Advocate

Garth makes sure to get herself checked out every year and encourages others to do the same. “So often insurance doesn’t cover these kinds of exploratory visits,” she told Future of Personal Health. “But trust me: If you are predisposed — if heart disease runs in your family or your numbers are high — it is worth it to seek out a cardiologist near you and get checked out. The fact is, you have one life, one body, one heart. So take care of it. Care enough about yourself and the people you love to take your own health seriously and be your own best advocate.”

Jennie Finch is throwing pitches in her workout gear. In a new social media post the former softball player proves that she still has got a winning pitch – and a fit figure – wearing exercise clothes as she plays. “Jennie is a legend!! 🙌” commented MLB. “Imagine hitting BP off Jennie Finch,” added another follower. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. She Keeps Moving

“There’s nothing better than working up a good sweat,” Finch told CNN. “I make time to keep active. I know how important it is to keep moving.” While transformations don’t happen overnight, it’s “all about starting,” she says. “You know, baby steps. It’s not going to be about instant gratification that we want, that we’re used to in this day and age. But it is about the process and the journey and just making those subtle changes. Parking a little further. Walking up the stairs. Those little things that can help and get you kick-started. I saw something recently that was like, as long as you’re moving, you’re better off than being on the couch. No matter what pace you’re at. You’re not going to get off the couch and be at some amazing fast pace or burn crazy amounts of calories but you have to start somewhere. … Eventually you’ll get there. We all have excuses but leave those excuses at the door. If you want it bad enough, go for it. Life’s too short not to.”

2. Mental Toughness

Jennie ran a marathon four months after having her second son, which she chalks up to “mental toughness,” she told CNN. “So much of it is between your own ears and fighting that doubt. We will always have that doubt, but that’s what keeps us on edge and keeps us working harder,” she explained. “Preparation builds the confidence to overcome that doubt, but I don’t think you truly do ever overcome it, or I never did. Even up to mile 25 it was like, ‘Can I go another mile?’ It’s like, ‘Yes, I can.’ [It’s] that internal battle that you have to keep fighting and winning.”

3. Balanced Diet

When it comes to diet, “I’m all about balance. Nothing extreme,” says Jennie. “I live in Louisiana so we eat; we’re surrounded by way too much good food. So I kind of work out to eat. But like I said it’s all about balance. It’s not like I never have dessert, I just try to eat it in moderation and make my workouts so I can eat what I want and enjoy it.”

4. Exercising with Her Kids

Jennie breaks a sweat with her kids. “Having two little boys, it’s easy to keep moving. A lot of times it’s not going to the gym [and] getting in an hour of cardio. A lot of times it’s just me being outside, playing with my boys, jumping on the trampoline. Whatever it takes to get me moving and my heart rate pumping,” she tells CNN.

5. Running, Yoga, Pilates, Martial Arts

“My workouts I like to mix it up,” says Jennie. “I have met an incredible running group that has helped me tremendously – social time for me, fellowship and just an escape from everything. I put in workout DVDs, whether it’s yoga, pilates, tae bo even – my old school ones. I love getting outside with my boys. I lift weights every now and then.”

Jennie Garth is heating up Florida – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the 90210 legend shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while vacationing in Palm Beach. “Florida shenanigans (Part 1)” she captioned the series of snaps. “Jennie I have seen you since 90210 (Over 30 years) and you look the same. How can that be? Secret please ??” one of her followers commented. “Sooooo pretty,” added another. How does the actress, who played Kelly Taylor on the hit television series, maintain her youthful body? Here are her top lifestyle habits.

1. Her Diet Is Mostly Plant-Based

Los,Angeles,-,May,1:,Jennie,Garth,At,16th,AnnualShutterstock

"My diet is in large part plant-based," Garth told The Beet. "I load up on berries, vegetables and lots of salad.”

2. Here Is What She Eats in a Day

Santa,Monica,,Ca,Usa,-,Jan,19,2020:,Jennie,GarthShutterstock

Garth detailed her diet to The Beet.

For Breakfast: “I eat oats in almond milk, and add almond slivers, blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds on top. But I eat the oats right after I pour the oat milk on them, even before they are softened. I love the crunch of it,” she said.

For Lunch: Garth has a salad for lunch. “On a day when I am eating well, everything I can find goes into my salad: Avocado, tomatoes, nuts, and for sweetness, I like to add green apple into the mix,” she said.

For Dinner: “We love Mexican food in our house, and though it's not the healthiest, you can make a taco with lots of vegetables. I love the vegan cheese, and I'll make a tortilla with vegan cheese, like Daiya, which is my current favorite!”

Dessert or Snack: “My favorite treat right now is the chocolate-covered almonds from Trader Joe's. I am a ‘phase’ person and I go through phases when I get stuck on a food and enjoy it until I get sick of it. And right now I am stuck on those!”

3. She Hits the Gym

In a recent post, Garth showed off her workout routine. "It's time! Let's do this… let's choose to take care of ourselves, together💕" Garth captioned the post. "I love sharing my private workouts with you all and hearing how it's motivating you! So keep messaging me…. and I'll keep motivating you, deal?” she captioned it. Her workout included weight lifting, mountain climbers, push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, and stretching.

4. She Golfs

“I also love to get outside any chance I get, and right now I am into golf!” Garth told The Beet. “It's a great activity both mentally and physically because you can walk the course. It keeps me sharp too since you really have to focus. But mostly I love it because it's a way to spend time in nature and see beautiful vistas and trees. And there is a lot of walking involved!”

5. She Stretches

For exercise, Garth does “a lot of stretching,” she told The Beet. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight."

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Rita snaps a selfie on the treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Rita Ora working her triceps

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

Rita Ora on a Pilates reformer

Rita Ora/Instagram

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”
