Jennifer Aniston in Workout Gear Shares Monday Motivation: "Just Gotta Do It!"

Here’s how she looks incredible at 55.

Jennifer Aniston has given us fitness inspiration for almost 30 years, and at 55, she has never seemed so strong and energized. The actress kindly shared her workout on social media, posting a video of herself wearing gray leggings and a black tank top, doing a full-body workout using resistance bands and weights. "If you're having one of THOSE Mondays, I FEEL YOU 🫵🏼 Just gotta do it!! ❤️💪🏼💋 @pvolve," she captioned the post. Here's how Aniston stays happy, healthy, and is always evolving.

1

No More Intense Cardio

Aniston says she had to retrain her brain when it comes to exercise, switching from overly-intense cardio sessions to something more gentle. "It used to be pounding, pounding, pounding," she told British Vogue. "You had to get 45 minutes to an hour of cardio; otherwise, you weren't getting a workout. Not only do you stress your body, you burn out – who wants to do that at all?"

Those Pvolve Workouts

Aniston swears by Pvolve dance-based resistance workouts to make her look and feel fabulous. "With Pvolve, you can really pick from so many workouts depending on how much time you have, the level of strength that you're at, and where your body's at, and you feel energized afterwards," she told British Vogue. "It's just good on my body; it's good to my body. And I feel like I've done something really good for myself."

3

Lots of Quality Sleep

Aniston says lack of sleep had a terrible impact on her health and appearance in the past, which is why she encourages people to take sleep health seriously. "[I thought], 'I got this. I can go the day on five hours of sleep and I'll make up for it over the weekend'… and over time, it was really starting to affect every single part of my daily life," she told USA Today. "We're so arrogant when we're younger. We think, 'ah, I'll sleep when I'm 80. I can't tell you the amount of times I've said that to myself, but you can't make up on lost sleep. It's just a myth."

Jump Rope Workouts

Aniston loves short, effective jump rope sessions. "If I have only five minutes, I'll use them to move my body," she told Shape. "Jumping rope is a killer workout. When my trainer, Leyon, whom I love more than life, handed me a jump rope for the first time, I said, 'You're out of your mind.' I would dread doing it and would skip instead of jump over the rope. He kept saying, 'No, try to do it correctly.' It was so irritating. But within six months, my jumping became fluid. Now I can just go and go and go."

Strength With Age

Aniston has no interest in looking the way she did at 20, focusing instead on aging with strength and longevity. "If I tried to look the way I looked at 20, I would not really actually want to do that. It's absolutely impossible," she told USA Today. "I want my body to get strong, because as I get older, I want my body to thrive. We're all going to get older. We're all headed to that exact same spot. But we can take care of our skin. We can have a healthy diet. We can drink lots of water."
