Jennifer Garner is having a fun-filled summer in Montana, based on her recent social media updates. Garner, 52, shared a video of herself perching on a raft, wearing protective clothing and a white helmet against a gorgeous background of pines and blue skies. “Thank you summer ☀️,” she captioned the post. “Ugh gorgeous 🤩🌲,” commented friend Aisha Tyler. Garner is thriving in her 50s—here’s how this busy mom of three stays fit, happy, and active.

1. Early Morning Workouts

Garner gets up at 5.30 a.m. to work out, even when she’s traveling. “I will use a hotel gym or I will do one of The Limit on-demand videos that you can use without any weights or without anything, just to get my heart rate going,” she told TODAY. “I also really like the Peloton app. I'm not a runner, but if I'm listening to one of the outdoor running things on the app where they're talking you through the run and you're running, say, in intervals and you get a break every now and then or you slow down every now and then, it makes the time go more quickly. And so I use that a lot when I'm traveling.”

2. Bag Of Nuts

Almond,On,Eco,Canvas,Bag,On,Green,Background.,Healthy,EatingShutterstock

Garner always carries nuts with her for a healthy snack. “I have gone through spells of traveling a lot and I’m always panicked that I’ll get on a plane and I won’t have something healthy to eat and I’ll find myself knee-deep in my neighbor’s rigatoni after I finish my own,” she told TODAY. “So I guess I panic that I don’t have anything and I keep adding to the bag without ever taking out.”

3. Simple Skincare

Garner sticks to drugstore products like Neutrogena, who she’s worked with for years. “I have always, always, always washed my face at night no matter what, even if I don't have makeup on,” she told Who What Wear. “I like to go to bed with clean skin. I want it working for me while I sleep. I'll use retinol—the Rapid Wrinkle Repair is what I use because it's around, and I have it. I've learned that I can trust it, and I don't need to go fancy. I just really stick with what I know and trust.”

4. Aesthetician Treatments

Garner goes to see aesthetician Nerida Joy for skincare treatments. “I have seen her since 2000, and she is IT!” she told New Beauty. “I’m scared of all the stuff other people do. I’ve never done a peel; I don’t do lasers. I like my skin and I don’t want it to be thinner. Nerida is so big on just having a great skin massage. She can also always tell if I’ve switched products, and she really loves the zone that I’m in right now with my every-other-night cycle. If she’s happy with my skin, I’m happy.”

5. Less Is More

Garner’s beauty philosophy is less is more. “I just want to look like myself,” she told Who What Wear. “I can't say that I'm particularly gutsy with my beauty choices either in what I wear—clearly—or in makeup and hair. I mean, I did chop all my hair off. In that way, I just wanted something fresh and different, and that felt really, really good. But for the most part, I want to look like the best version of me that I can. So I'd rather take care of my skin and give my hair every bit of advantage it can.”

One of the tragic yet beautiful calls from her sibling who was trying to flee and stay with her family, was going to go back in and fight to stand strong against PUTIN. That’s the character and moral of Ukrainians. Women refusing to leave as their husbands prepare to fight back. They are beautiful and strong, this will be the biggest refugee situation this century. Please donate, and to @kseniya__stone we stand with you, we stand with Ukraine.”

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones

Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
