How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jennifer Holland stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
1. She’s Comfortable With Herself
Holland is all about body positivity. After being body shamed, she spoke about this in the caption of her recent Instagram post. “So, to the jerks who love to comment that I looked better in American Pie: THAT MOVIE WAS FILMED 17 YEARS AGO… Kick rocks. I LOOK AMAZING. I’m grateful for my body and my mind. I'm grateful for @paolomascitti. I’m grateful for this life.”
2. She Paddleboards
Holland spends a lot of time outside. One outdoor activity she enjoys doing is going paddleboarding. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself and some friends going paddleboarding. Holland captioned the post, “The wind was so strong today that it’s debatable whether we were paddle boarding or sailing ⛵️, but two things are certain: Freddie + Johanna are lovely, and they always have the best after-activity snacks.”
3. She Swims
Another thing Holland does to stay in shape is going swimming. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself floating in the pool. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits, and is a lot easier on the body compared to other exercises. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”
4. She Hikes
Holland loves to hike. She shares a lot of photos on Instagram of herself hiking. She shared this photo of herself hiking by a waterfall in Colorado. Hiking has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic reports that it can help with sleeping. “If you struggle to get a good night’s sleep, then a hike might be beneficial. Exposure to vitamin D can help control your wake-sleep cycle. And being outside and exercising will also raise your body’s temperature, so when your internal temperature goes back down, it can lull you into sleep.”
5. She Bikes
Holland also enjoys biking. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself on a ride. The Nebraska Methodist Health System states that biking has a lot of health benefits. “Muscle is built from cycling, especially the quadriceps. You are also building and toning the glutes, hamstrings and calves. Biking will give you a full body workout without you even realizing it. Your shoulders, arms and core are activated as you balance the bike. The more muscle you have, the higher your basal metabolic rate is and the more calories you will burn. A cyclist moving at a speed of 10 mph burns 260 calories an hour.”
