Jennifer Lopez is getting her Sunday workout on. In a new social media post the singer flaunts her amazing figure in a sports bra and leggings after a weekend workout. “A Merry Sunday,” she captioned the Instagram snap. “Queen,” commented Porsha Williams. “So fresh!!!!” added another. How does the legend approach health and wellness at 54? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. She Doesn’t Skip Workouts
"Very rarely will I skip my workout," she told US Weekly. "Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I’m like, 'Ugh, I can’t do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It’s only an hour.' It’s just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum."
2. She Dances
"Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that's so good for me is key to my happiness," she told HELLO! in 2016. "When my confidence is lagging, I dance," she continued, "There's something about seeing what my body is capable of and feeling the endorphin rush that comes with a good dance session that really helps boost my confidence and my mood. I still consider myself a dancer at heart and I love it."
3. She Sleeps A Lot
Lopez makes sure to get her beauty sleep. "There was a time in my life where I used to sleep 3 to 5 hours a night. I'd be on set all day and in the studio all night and doing junkets and filming videos on the weekends," she told People. "I was in my late 20s and I thought I was invincible." She ended up having a panic attack. “I asked the doctor if I was going crazy. He said, 'No, you're not crazy. You need sleep...get 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night, don't drink caffeine, and make sure you get your workouts in if you're going to do this much work.'”
4. She Eats What She Wants
Ben Affleck opened up about his wife’s diet on the April 21 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “She’s the most gorgeous woman in the world and she looks spectacular,” she said. “Let me tell you something that’s going to upset you," he said. "Jennifer just eats whatever she wants and whatever she wants; cookies, ice cream, everything."
5. She Hydrates
Jen understands "drinking plenty of water, especially before a workout, can help you push harder and get more out of your exercise routine," she told HELLO! According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
