Jennifer Lopez is getting her Sunday workout on. In a new social media post the singer flaunts her amazing figure in a sports bra and leggings after a weekend workout. “A Merry Sunday,” she captioned the Instagram snap. “Queen,” commented Porsha Williams. “So fresh!!!!” added another. How does the legend approach health and wellness at 54? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. She Doesn’t Skip Workouts

"Very rarely will I skip my workout," she told US Weekly. "Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I’m like, 'Ugh, I can’t do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It’s only an hour.' It’s just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum."

2. She Dances

"Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that's so good for me is key to my happiness," she told HELLO! in 2016. "When my confidence is lagging, I dance," she continued, "There's something about seeing what my body is capable of and feeling the endorphin rush that comes with a good dance session that really helps boost my confidence and my mood. I still consider myself a dancer at heart and I love it."

3. She Sleeps A Lot

Lopez makes sure to get her beauty sleep. "There was a time in my life where I used to sleep 3 to 5 hours a night. I'd be on set all day and in the studio all night and doing junkets and filming videos on the weekends," she told People. "I was in my late 20s and I thought I was invincible." She ended up having a panic attack. “I asked the doctor if I was going crazy. He said, 'No, you're not crazy. You need sleep...get 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night, don't drink caffeine, and make sure you get your workouts in if you're going to do this much work.'”

4. She Eats What She Wants

Ben Affleck opened up about his wife’s diet on the April 21 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “She’s the most gorgeous woman in the world and she looks spectacular,” she said. “Let me tell you something that’s going to upset you," he said. "Jennifer just eats whatever she wants and whatever she wants; cookies, ice cream, everything."

5. She Hydrates

Jen understands "drinking plenty of water, especially before a workout, can help you push harder and get more out of your exercise routine," she told HELLO! According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Jennifer Lopez is one of the most beautiful and fit women in Hollywood. She’s barely aged a day since her time as a Fly Girl, and her wellness secrets have been coveted by many. So when she posted a "#2021Recap loading …#HappyNewYear" on Instagram this weekend, it wasn't surprising to see many glamorous and glowing shots, including ones of her in a bathing suit. Just a few months back, her personal trainer, David Kirsch, told Vogue the singer’s routine. Read on to see 5 ways Jennifer Lopez is reportedly said to in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Gets Enough Sleep

Even with her busy schedule, Lopez prioritizes her beauty sleep. “The common denominator is always sleep. Resting and restoring is so important for your recovery and overall wellness,” Kirsch said. He also recommends using a device to monitor your sleep. "Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep. The recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours. Most people don't need more than eight hours in bed to achieve this goal," says the Mayo Clinic. "Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle."

2. She’s Dedicated To Her Wellness

Kirsch says that Lopez is extremely dedicated to her wellness routine. “Jennifer is meticulous about her eating, sleeping, and generally about everything in her life,” he explained. “It’s not just a physical thing - it’s about transforming every aspect of your life.”

3. She Does Platypus Squats

One of Kirsch’s exercises that he does with Lopez is platypus squats. “Jennifer and I do a lot of platypus walks with a wide stance. Also known as a sumo walking squat,” he says. “It’s great for your inner thighs and butt.”

4. She Does A Mixture Of Workouts

Kirsch says that he likes to combine different types of exercises for the singer’s fitness routine. “We mix some cardio, plyometrics, full body, core, and lower body into her workouts - they are very, very intense and she takes it very seriously, which is exciting for someone like me,” he explained.

5. She Works On Charities

Lopez is known to be very charitable and speaks out about many different causes. In fact, Kirsch reveals that he first met Lopez while working his charity foundation, Just For The Children, which helps fight childhood obesity. Kirsch says, “[The charity's] work is about striking the balance between healthy tech and mindful movement, and tackling childhood obesity - Jennifer wrote the foreword to my book and she’s a very big proponent of integrating a healthy lifestyle into one’s home.”

Jennifer Lopez has a new song out, “Can’t Get Enough” with Latto. With that song comes a stunning new music video. She shared a teaser for the video on Instagram. In it, Lopez and Latto pose in different outfits. One outfit Lopez wears is a gold swimsuit, her figure on display. She captioned the post, “Tomorrow @latto #CantGetEnough.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jennifer Lopez stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Lifts Weights

In her newsletter, Lopez revealed that she has started weightlifting. "I think as we grow and mature, we start losing muscle and start aching," Lopez writes. "The more strength we can get in our body by lifting is really something that makes me feel strong, able and empowered. That along with stretching and staying limber and mobile are the most important things."

2. She’s Consistent

For Lopez, working out is all about being consistent. “Very rarely will I skip my workout,” she told Us Weekly. “Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I’m like, ‘Ugh, I can’t do this.’ But I tell myself, ‘Just do it. It’s only an hour.’ It’s just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum.” Lopez even says that she works out on her birthday.

3. She Has Two Different Trainers

Fitness,CoupleShutterstock

Lopez does a lot of traveling. And no matter where she is, she finds time to workout. She tells HollywoodLife that she works with two different trainers. “When I’m in New York, I work out with David Kirsch — he’s an amazing trainer. When I’m in L.A., I work with Tracy Anderson. I like the balance that they both give me. They have two totally different approaches. I like switching it up with my body.”

4. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Lopez has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared some of her secrets in her HollywoodLife interview. “I’m rarely in the sun, but if I am, I wear a lot of sunscreen. I’ve never been one to take a lot of sun, which is why my skin has maintained itself. And I don’t drink or smoke or have caffeine. That really wrecks your skin as you get older.”

5. She Gets Enough Sleep

Lopez has a busy schedule, and often works late nights. However, she makes sure to get enough sleep each night. “I love a good nine or 10 hours, but I can never get that,” she told HollywoodLife. “So seven or eight is mandatory. [If I don’t get it] I just don’t feel right. I start feeling crazy, I get emotional and I feel tired all the time.”

Tracy Anderson, one of J.Lo’s trainers, added to E! News, that she is self-aware. “If somebody could graduate summa cum laude of physical literacy, it’s her. 4. She Doesn’t Over Train

“She is very soft and gentle with herself in a really beautiful way that you wouldn’t expect. She knows her engine really well. She doesn’t over-train if she’s got to light up a stage, which is most of the time,” added Anderson.

5. She Sleeps

Lopez has also revamped her approach to rest. 1. She Does Dance Cardio

Jen, who runs and lifts to stay in shape, also gets her cardio in at the studio. "I've been dancing a lot over the past two months as I'm gearing up for my album to come out, so that's taken over as my main fitness routine," she told Popsugar.

2. Her Workouts Have Evolved

Jennifer switches up her workout routine as she ages. “In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now,” she explained in InStyle’s 2021 The Beauty Issue. “It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!”

3. She Hydrates

Jennifer’s trainer Dodd Romero once revealed that she “drinks a minimum of seven glasses a day,” he told US Weekly. "Incorporating hydration into my day is a top priority for me as it helps me perform my best. For me, hydration is key to keep me going and have energy to do everything I am asking my body to do," she added to Popsugar.

4. She Maintains a Healthy Diet

Los Angeles Premiere Of Netflix's "The Mother" - ArrivalsSteve Granitz/FilmMagic

“You got to work out, you got to watch what you eat,” Jennifer confessed to Us Weekly about her approach to staying in shape. “It’s a job— you’ve got to buckle down.” Per Dodd her diet consists of a lot of protein, vegetables, fats, carbohydrates and water. Additionally, she “stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources.” Egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast and grass-fed beef three to four times a week serve as her main protein sources. Healthy fats in the form of fish like salmon and sea bass packed with high levels of omega-3s and 6s and “a handful” of nuts per day are also go-to foods. She also eats lots of veggies and complex carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, rice bread and oatmeal, which she’ll eat with fresh berries.

5. She Makes a Choice to Be Healthy, Every Single Day

"I always find a way to prioritize my physical and mental health,” Jennifer told Popsugar about her commitment to health. "Working out is a choice that I make every day, and I feel that it unlocks the best version of myself. I've had to perform at a high level for many years, so it's important to find the right balance to go harder and to get better without compromising things that are important to me."

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
