Jessica Alba is starting the new year on a sweaty note – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the actress shows off her amazing body in a two-piece exercise set during an intense workout session with boxing instructor Yohanes Solomon. “The first Monday of 2025 - let’s get after it! 👊🏽💦 #MondayMotivation #Hustler #LetsGo,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps and videos. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Does the 321 Method

Jessica’s go-to trainer, Ramona Braganza, created her 321 Training Method for the actress. “I developed it when Jessica Alba and I were shooting many films on location, so I needed something effective, requiring minimal equipment, flexible whether you have 20 minutes, half an hour, or a full hour to train,” the celebrity trainer previously told Celebwell. The 3-2-1 Method starts with three cardio exercises. “An example of cardio could be either treadmill, spinning, or dance. Next up, the 2, which translates to two circuits. “Usually it’s three in a row exercises that train specific body parts on different days,” Braganza tells us. Then, one part core. “Twisting moves target obliques and transverse, the muscle that cinches in the waist,” are an exercise that Jess demonstrates in a recent workout video.

She Hikes

Braganza added to Harper’s Bazaar that she and Jessica sometimes hike together. “Sometimes when the gym is absolutely not what Jessica wants, we will go outside and walk the hills near her home.” According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

She Has Self-Confidence

“Before becoming a mom, my femininity was defined by society’s standards of what it means to be desirable to men,” Jessica explained to The Cut. “Now I understand what feeling powerful from a woman’s point of view means. It has nothing to do with whether someone desires you, it’s more about how connected you feel to yourself. You end up attracting people when you’re confident, and you feel good in your skin. And that’s a by-product of being connected to your feminine energy.”

Meditation

Braganza reveals that meditation is part of Jessica’s workout routine. “Our workouts have become more of a mind-body-spirit evolution as Jess is now in her 40s, which includes meditation before we train that raises our vibrations to give us a positive mindset and finishes with a gratitude meditation,” she says. “When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up daily and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Boxing

In her recent post, Jessica boxes. Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, and hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and help increase alertness.

Jessica Valant is squatting her way to a hot body – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Pilates guru shows off her sensational figure while sharing a motivational message with her followers on why doing pelvic floor exercises is important. “I see countless women clients who have pelvic floor dysfunction who have simply been told by male doctors that the answer to this is to never squat or lift more than ten pounds again. That is NOT a solution. Instead of helping women figure out HOW to safely squat, function throughout the day, play with their kids or lift weights, they are dismissed and told to simply deal with it. No thank you! Women - there are so many ways to learn to move, live and function with strength - even with pelvic floor dysfunction. We would never discount a man wanting to fix a running injury, so let’s not dismiss women and their pelvic floor needs as well,” she says. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Pilates

Jessica’s main workout is Pilates. After all, she is a licensed physical therapist and Pilates teacher with over 24 years of experience, according to her bio.

Nutrient Dense Oatmeal

Jessica fuels up in the morning. “I usually make a big batch of superfood oatmeal one morning a week for our family. While I try to eat mostly gluten free, my husband and daughter aren’t sensitive to it like I am. That being said, I want to expose all of us to a variety of grains and foods and try to give us nutritionally dense breakfasts that will keep us full and satisfied. I use a combination of steel cut oats and quinoa for a protein boost. Then I top it with fruit, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, almonds and a little maple syrup,” she wrote in a blog post.

Salad

Kale,Cesar,Salad,Served,As,A,Family,Style,In,AShutterstock

Jessica has “some sort of salad” almost every day for lunch. “By that I mean I take some greens and put a bunch of other things from the refrigerator on top of it. This was one kale that I had massaged with a dressing of dijon mustard, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I put leftover roasted sweet potatoes on top, as well as avocado, sunflower seeds and sundried tomatoes,” she wrote.

Tea And Coffee

Jessica starts her day with black tea with stevia, her “typical morning beverage. “For you coffee lovers, I’m right there with you! I LOVE coffee but have made the switch to tea in the mornings over the past year,” she wrote. Her “current FAVORITE way” to have coffee? “I put 6 ounces of organic brewed coffee in my Vitamix with 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of ghee and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. I blend the heck out of it until it’s frothy. It’s AMAZING and the healthy fats from the coconut oil and ghee help your body process the caffeine and acidity from the coffee. This is coming from a girl who is addicted to her creamer. I do not drink coffee without creamer, and I love this as is. It’s a miracle I’m telling you,” she writes.

Her Healthy Chipotle Order

Chipotle is one of Jesscia’s “go-to places” when she needs something quick and somewhat healthy. “I get the salad bowl with brown rice (I skip the beans and get extra rice), barbacoa and guacamole. I then add sliced tomatoes and my own salsa at home,” she writes. “If you look up the nutritional info on Chipotle’s website, you’ll be surprised to see the barbacoa is one of the healthier meat options! My acupuncturist recently told me to try having red meat during the week, so it’s a good option for me when I don’t cook a lot of red meat at home. I think the combo of rice and beans is GREAT for fiber and protein, but my body doesn’t do well with beans so I tend to eat them sparingly. I skip the cheese and it’s a meal I usually feel pretty good about!”

Alba wore a tight black halter gown, and kept her dark hair straight and simple, while she attended with her husband, Cash Warren. Read on to see 5 ways Jessica Alba stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Does Cardio Circuits With A Trainer

Alba’s trainer, Ramona Braganza, broke down the actress’ typical workout to Pop Workouts. A majority of Alba’s fitness is broken into circuits, and contains exercises like dumbbell bench presses and ab crunches. Braganza explained this decision to the website by saying, “Taking the boredom factor out of the thirty minutes of cardio, I broke the time into a 3 X 10-minute segments of speed and grade changes.”

2. She Does A Different Set of Exercises Each Day

According to Pop Workouts, Alba does a different set of exercises for each of the five days of the work week. For example, on Mondays, Alba will do V-Ups, twisting planks, and bicycle crunches. While on Wednesdays, Alba does stair climbing and dumbbell rows.

3. She Alternates Between Upper and Lower Body Days

According to Pop Workouts, Alba will alternate between working out her upper body and her lower body. This ensures that she targets each area of her body. Alba will do upper body workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and will do lower body exercises on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

4. She Sticks To The Basics

Alba’s trainer, Ramona Braganza, revealed that the actress likes to do basic exercises, and avoids using gym machines. “This has been Jessica’s preferred method of training. Sticking to the basics, using compound exercises, alternating upper and lower body, and natural alternatives to cardio machines, such as climbing stairs, jumping rope, or jogging.” Braganza says this helps Alba stay in shape with her traveling and busy schedule.

5. She’s A Free-Diver

In a photo series detailing her summertime fun on Instagram, Alba revealed that she is a free-diver. The first photo in the series shows Alba deep in the clear ocean. She captioned the photo, “Last #photodump of the summer! Got to do a little free diving in Mexico.”

Jessica Alba kicked off 2024 the best possible way: With an intense cardio session that left her drenched in sweat and feeling incredible. Alba, 42, shared a video of herself wearing a black two-piece workout outfit, while taking part in an online SoulCycle spin class. “Morning sweat 💦 Kicking off the new year 💪🏽 #WellnessWednesday,” she captioned the post. Alba has never felt more secure in her skin, and it shows—here’s how her approach to happiness, aging, and confidence has changed in her 40s.

1. Honest Company

Alba started her clean-living The Honest Company after developing concerns about possibly toxic ingredients found in everyday items. “I really felt like I needed to create a company that stood for the values that I had as a person, and I just found there really wasn’t one company out there that was meeting my needs,” she tells Who What Wear. “When you look at the chemicals that are in all of the different products we use—everything from cleaning products to bath, body, beauty, and baby products—you can't point to just one product having an adverse effect on your health. It’s all the products in combination that you’re being exposed to every day over a period of time.”

2. Repping Diverse Beauty

As a producer, Alba is proud to use her influence to create more diverse roles and characters for women of color. “I did not have a ton of examples of diverse beauty icons,” she tells Elle. “I liked the ’90s supermodels, probably because of Azzedine Alaïa and his influence on beauty and pop culture—he celebrated brown skin, big lips, big boobs, and big butts, and was celebratory of Black and brown beauty and mixed people. But in entertainment, in Hollywood, it was very Caucasian. When I was coming up, there were iconic beauties like Salma [Hayek], Jennifer Lopez, and Selena. And I love old Hollywood femme fatale and glamor icons like Rita Hayworth, Sofia Loren, Lauren Bacall, Lupe Velez, Brigitte Bardot, Veronica Lake, and Catherine Deneuve. But as a young actress, I aspired to redefine ‘the girl next door’ and felt like Hollywood wasn’t capturing it.”

3. Her Favorite Supplements

Coffee,And,Collagen,Powder,On,Pink,BackgroundShutterstock

Alba swears by collagen and prenatal vitamins. “Definitely consult your doctor, but I do think taking a high-quality DHA is really helpful, and I am an advocate for probiotics and having a good multivitamin on hand,” she tells Who What Wear. “I also love prenatals. They're packed with all kinds of vitamins to help grow a baby, and any time I've taken them, whether I was pregnant or not or trying to get pregnant or not, I've found that everything just looks more glowy and vibrant. I also like to put collagen in my coffee in the morning, or I'll use a protein powder with collagen if I'm making a smoothie.”

4. Living In the Moment

Alba embraces the changes and wisdom that come with age. “When I was younger, I was always in my head, and I was so insecure,” she tells Who What Wear. “I was worried about such silly things that, at the end of the day, mean absolutely nothing. I wasn’t living in the moment. I didn’t have the same quality of life when I was younger as I do now. I had more collagen and fluffier cheeks and no pores, and my cellulite wasn’t as dominant… I didn’t have stretch marks on my boobs, and yet I was still so insecure about every little thing, you know? I never just enjoyed and lived in the moment, and now, it’s just like whatever! Let me live!”

5. Fabulous 40s

Alba is thriving in her 40s, especially as she has learned to stop caring about negative opinions as she gets older. “And then it starts going into the negative zone,” she tells Elle. “You start giving less and less with each year that goes by, which is the blessing of age. I started giving less [care] in my thirties. In my forties, zero. None. It’s done. We’re done with that, sis.”

“Long before there was Orange Theory there was the 321Training method a program I designed that had 3 intervals of cardio , 2 circuits of strength training and finished with 1 core at the end,” Braganza adds in a recent Instagram video with Jess demonstrating the moves. . “It was a workout I based on my clients needs to lose weight and build muscle tissue for shapely but lean bodies. I used this workout with @jessicaalba on the various films we worked on including Dark Angel, Into the Blue and Fantastic Four. The workout became a downloadable program offering a variety of exercises that work effectively whether you have 20 minutes half an hour or an hour.”

She Does TRX

Sanon does a lot of things to keep herself in shape. She is seen using TRX cables in her Instagram video. NIFS states that these exercises have a lot of benefits. “If you have ever taken a class or done some of even the most basic exercises, you quickly see that core activation is one of the most important aspects. The workouts are simple yet very challenging, and you can easily complete a total-body workout only using one piece of equipment in 20 minutes.”

Strength Training

Sanon is seen doing a lot of strength training exercises in her Instagram video. Strength training has a lot of health benefits. Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

Sanon is seen doing hip thrusts with a shoulder press in her Instagram video. Hip thrusts have a lot of benefits. Gymless says, “Hip thrusts are a controlled and powerful movement, mainly focusing on the glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and core. This exercise is vital for developing a stronger posterior chain, contributing to improved athletic performance, alleviating lower back pain, and enhancing overall physique. Considering that about 65 million Americans experience some form of back pain, hip thrusts are a great exercise to include in your routine.”

Gymless says that this exercise is very beneficial. “Russian Twists are a great exercise that develops all parts of your core, especially the obliques, it also targets the shoulders and hips. This exercise involves rotating your torso from side-to-side while maintaining a sit up position with your feet off the ground. This rotational movement often occurs in sports, which makes it a popular exercise amongst athletes. It is speculated that this was developed during the Cold War by the former Soviet Union as a training exercise for the Russian Soldiers.”

She Uses A Stationary Bike

Sanon also shared this workout video on Instagram. In it, she is seen using a stationary bike. Penn State PRO Wellness reports that stationary bike workouts have a lot of health benefits. “Riding a stationary bike can help build strength in your legs and lower body, especially if you use a higher resistance. The pedaling action can help strengthen your calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps. Additionally, it can work the muscles in your core, back, and glutes.”

From skincare rituals to core-sculpting workouts, De Bortoli’s daily habits make it clear that staying in shape is about more than just hitting the gym. Whether she’s cooking up homemade meals, breaking a sweat, or showing off a fresh new look, she’s all about feeling her best from the inside out. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

De Bortoli has impressive skin. Naturally, she takes care of it on a regular basis. De Bortoli shared this video on Instagram sharing her skincare routine. She captioned it, “The secret to perfect skin? Here is my step by step routine! ✨💦🎀 What product can you absolutely not live without?”

She Changed Her Hair Color

De Bortoli recently changed her hair color. She explained why in the caption of this Instagram post. “The good thing about this color is that it does not require frequent touch-ups and it easily adapts to natural hair growth, it is versatile and can enhance any body and face shape 🧡for those who are tired of blonde or brown, bronde is the solution to change harmony without distortion 🤍for those who have a fair complexion, the most golden tone is recommended 🤎 for the dark complexion, on the other hand, more ash brown ❤️ 🔥what can I say... For me the bronde conquered, and what do you think?”

She Cooks

De Bortoli likes to cook, and she was taught to do so by her grandmother. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her grandmother cooking together. De Bortoli captioned it, “Grandparents are wealth in society, my grandmother loves to cook and do it with her since I was a child. She has always inspired my creativity, patience, discipline and order but above all traditions, history, and the concreteness of nature's gifts. The greatest teaching my grandparents passed on to me is respect for people, the environment, animals and the kitchen... Today together we made Carnival Frittelle, an easy, quick dessert that adults and kids love. The ingredients are few and simple (but of high quality) and, trust me, the result is guaranteed: nice round but above all soft and tasty.”

She Works Her Abs

De Bortoli shared this video of herself working out on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing core exercises like sit-ups. Core exercises are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

She Works Out With Others

In the previous Instagram video, De Bortoli is seen working out with a friend. Better Health says that this has a lot of benefits. “You’re less likely to get bored when you have a workout buddy, especially a friend. While you’re catching up, having a laugh, encouraging each other, you’re also getting healthier. It’s a win-win. Chatting to a friend during exercise and breaks can help time pass quickly too. You’ll have more options as well, such as a game of tennis or squash.”

Kristin Cavallari is a reality TV and fashion icon. Since she debuted on Laguna Beach, people have clamoured for her fashion and beauty secrets. Cavallari recently shared her eye makeup secrets on Instagram, after several people asked for them. She captioned the post, “This is for the girlies in my DMs asking about this eye every time I do it. Sorry the lighting is awful. I also don’t know why the audio isn’t in sync for half of it 🫣 but here ya go 💗”

She's Less Strict With Her Diet

Kristin shares a Zucchini Almond Butter Blondies recipe

Kristin Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Krisitn Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”
