She shared some of her secrets with ELLE. “I do a face mask every morning, and it just wakes my skin up and forces me to do my multi-step skincare routine. Alba tells People that she makes sure to eat a balanced diet. “As I’ve gotten older and after I became a mom, it became more of a priority to be healthy for the right reasons. It’s more important to have a balanced approach instead of trying to be perfect. I don’t deprive myself … I have [junk] if I want it. When I do feel that I am depriving myself, I find that I binge. That’s not a balanced way to go about it.”

4. She Uses Retinol

Alba shared some of her skincare secrets with Cosmopolitan. "I found retinol, which has been the greatest thing in the whole world,” she said. “I started using it after I had my first daughter (I don't use it when I'm pregnant); it takes away fine lines, it takes away spots and makes the texture of my skin better. I feel like I look younger now than I did when I was in my late 20s - it's incredible!”

Alba tells Cosmopolitan that she makes sure to keep her skin hydrated, and shared her secrets for doing so. "Finding a formula that isn't too drying is the key. Mine is a lotion called Resurface Retinol Reform – my facialist makes it and she ships it all over the world. Braganza reveals that Jessica gets her zen on before and after her workouts. “Our workouts have become more of a mind body spirit evolution as Jess is now in her 40s which includes meditation before we train that raises our vibrations to give us a positive mindset and finishes with a gratitude meditation,” she says.

“Before becoming a mom, my femininity was defined by society’s standards of what it means to be desirable to men,” Jessica told The Cut. “Now I understand what feeling powerful from a woman’s point of view means. A majority of Alba’s fitness is broken into circuits, and contains exercises like dumbbell bench presses and ab crunches. Braganza explained this decision to the website by saying, “Taking the boredom factor out of the thirty minutes of cardio, I broke the time into a 3 X 10-minute segments of speed and grade changes.”

She added to Savannah Guthrie on TODAY that she has dabbled in "a bunch of different disciplines in martial arts" over the years, including Krav Maga.

Jessica is a yogi. “I like to do hot yoga and sculpt yoga,” she told the Los Angeles Times. She added to Self that she prefers to strike her pose early in the day.
