The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher is just the latest celebrity to display just how much they love to play Pickleball. Fletcher, 33, shared a video of herself jumping out of bed to put on a blue skirt and white shirt, ready to play the game. “If you text me to play Pickleball, I will literally drop everything and be there in 5,” she captioned the funny post. “Weird I’m still waiting for a text back about dinner…?” commented husband Jordan Rodgers. Here’s how Fletcher stays fit, healthy, and beautiful.

1. Gym and Dog Walking

Fletcher was very active growing up, so fitness is a way of life for the star. “Growing up I played basketball and volleyball, and I ran track," she told Us Weekly. "Now I go to the gym a couple times a week. I do a lot of cardio, like the StairMaster and spin classes. I’ll take my dog [Jackson, a German shorthaired pointer] to the park and run with him. That counts!”

2. Yummy Food and Balance

Fletcher is a big foodie, but understands the importance of balance. “I love food too much. … I love Mexican food and truffle mac ’n’ cheese — anything cheesy!” she told Us Weekly. “I cook more now that I’m getting older, because you can’t eat out every single day. It’s easy to grill a piece of chicken and steam broccoli. I eat healthy, and then I’ll have a cheat day.”

3. Resistance Band Exercises

Fletcher loves using Renoj resistance bands. “I've gotta say, although they look small, they are mighty and they give you a killer workout,” she told E! News. “I love these for so many reasons. They come in three different strengths. There's a light, medium, and heavy. These are also great if you travel a lot and you want to keep working out while you travel, these are tiny to fit in your bag.”

4. Skincare Over Makeup

Fletcher prefers a more low-key beauty routine these days. “I like to have days where I just let my skin breathe,” she told Allure. “More than anything, since I've been on the show, I've taken so much better care of my skin. I'm using oils, I'm hydrating more, and I'm always taking off my makeup before bed. I'm also doing facials. I've been trying to hydrate my hair, as well, doing certain hair masks or using hair oils."

5. Yoga Ball Workouts

Fletcher uses the Trideer yoga ball as part of her workout regimen. "These are great for crunches,” she told E! News. “I couldn't believe that this worked my hamstrings as crazy as it did. It looks so easy, but let me tell you my hamstrings are burning so much from being so sore. Killer workout. Try it and let me know. I love this ball. It comes with a little pump to inflate and deflate. You can deflate this before you travel to take this ball with you. You can target so many areas with this. This is also good for planks."

Jewell Loyd is a WNBA player who's reached icon status. She currently plays for the Seattle Storm. Loyd is also an avid pickleball player. She recently hit the court, and photos of her were posted on Instagram in a collaboration with Joola Pickleball. They captioned the post, “Jewell Loyd can ball.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jewell Loyd stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Gives Back

In an interview with The New York Times, Loyd talked about why she and her brother decided to purchase their childhood gym. “It’s really for the community,” she says. “I want to make sure that people have a chance to do what I’m doing, and it starts with a dream. And if you can build that dream in a place that you get constantly reminded that you can achieve it, I think that’s the beautiful thing about the building.”

2. She Stays Hydrated

Hand,Holding,1,Gallon,Plastic,Bottle,Of,Drinking,Water;,SilhouetteShutterstock

Loyd broke down her daily routine to Women’s Health. She says that she makes sure to stay hydrated, and she starts first thing in the morning. “Immediately, I like to drink my water. I’m trying to get close to a gallon a day, so I start with half that amount and then refill my bottle for the rest of the day. Luckily one of the features on my new Samsung Galaxy Watch5 is a water tracking feature, so I can set goals for daily water intake and it reminds me to hit those each day.”

3. She Fixes Her Sleep Schedule

Loyd revealed to Women’s Health that she tracks a lot of her wellness routine, and makes adjustments. She says that how much sleep she gets is one of the things she tracks. “I’ve just gotten a Galaxy Watch5, and it’s really cool to see all of my sleep data. For example, for my first 90-minute cycle, I saw that the first half hour was light sleep, then REM for 30 minutes, which is the most impactful sleep. I think it’s important to track data like how quickly you fall asleep and how much quality sleep you’re actually getting. With that kind of information, you can make adjustments like: I need to go to bed at this time, so I can make sure I get enough good rest.”

4. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Loyd shared her workout routine with Women’s Health. She likes to do a variety of workouts to stay in shape. “Sometimes I’ll lift weights in the morning, but usually, it’s basketball first to just kind of get my body moving,” Loyd says. “If I’m starting with lifting, I try to get a nice sweat and get tempos in my lifts, but it doesn’t take me super long to get warm. I always focus most on my shoulders. It’s a weakness of mine, I’ve had some shoulder injuries, so I make sure that’s always primed. I know my trainers will be happy to hear that. Then, I start with basketball workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it’s pickleball, and that’s a two-hour workout of technique stuff. Lately, I’ve been playing pickleball every day, getting ready for a tournament.”

5. She Pushes Herself

Loyd tells Women’s Health that she is pushing herself when it comes to wellness. “When you push yourself at least a little bit, you can take on anything that comes your way, whether it’s errands or hitting a big goal. For me, I’m so competitive in everything I do, I need the challenge of going outside my comfort zone so I can learn from that, and my Samsung Galaxy Watch5 is helping me look at my training for both basketball and pickleball through a holistic data lens so I can plan my days based on the its insights on my sleep, heart rate, water intake, and workout performance and recovery. When you’re waking up early and working on these goals for yourself, then it sets you up for the whole day.”

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Rachel Stuhlmann, known for her dynamic presence as a model and tennis influencer, brings her passion for wellness, sports, and fitness to every aspect of her life. In a recent Instagram post, she shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of creating her content, showcasing her dedication to the sport and the energy she brings to each shoot. “BTS filming of a tennis drill w the bestie😭💕🎾,” she captioned the video, giving fans a sneak peek into her content creation process. Whether she’s playing tennis, staying disciplined in her fitness routine, or sharing her wellness journey, Stuhlmann’s approach is all about intentionality and joy. Here’s a closer look at the habits that keep her active, healthy, and balanced.

1. She Plays Tennis

Tennis is one of the ways that Stuhlmann stays in shape. Better Health states that tennis has a lot of health benefits. “Playing tennis has many health benefits including: increasing aerobic capacities, lowering resting heart rate and blood pressure, improving metabolic function, increasing bone density, lowering body fat, improving muscle tone, strength and flexibility, increasing reaction times.”

2. She Plays Pickleball

Stuhlmann also plays pickleball to keep herself in shape. The Cleveland Clinic states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Sports like pickleball stress your muscles and bones. Your body responds by making them stronger. Routine pickleball play can help you: Improve muscle strength. Prevent osteoporosis, a disease that weakens your bones and can lead to fractures.”

3. She Values Wellness

Stuhlmann opened up about her wellness journey in an interview with Fitness Gurls. “My whole life has been tennis; however, there was a short time right after college when I shifted much of my focus from the tennis world to fitness training. I think I was just so excited to be finished with only being able to do tennis-specific workouts and for the first time in my life, I had the freedom to do whatever workouts I wanted to! I began weight training, working out extremely hard, and focusing on my nutrition. I went all in; I did two strategic workouts a day and followed a weighed-out meal plan given to me by a nutritionist who helped me reach my goals.”

4. She’s Disciplined

Stuhlmann talked about the discipline that she gained from tennis in her Fitness Gurls interview. “I loved being an athlete, and playing college tennis taught me many qualities—time management, work ethic, and resilience. Committing to my studies was not as easy for me as developing my tennis career. Fortunately, I was provided with great tutors and mentors at Mizzou that helped me stay on top of my studies. Sometimes outsourcing and working as a team with other people is a good way to succeed. I was super disciplined with my training and workout routines, and once I finished playing in college, I transferred that into my professional career. Now instead of preparing and training for big tennis matches, I focus on everything I have going on in my professional life and how I can best show up for all the various work I do within the sport.”

5. She Plans Her Workouts

Stuhlmann likes to plan out her workouts ahead of time. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “I told you that this year I’m hitting these workouts hard, and with confidence!☺️🔥🧡💪With such a busy schedule, it’s important for me to have efficient and effective workouts & meal plans. Through years of experience (and trial & error🙂), I have figured out what works for me to stay fit and healthy!💯😌”

Reese Witherspoon is "in our pickleball era,” according to a caption on her new Instagram post. “Pickleball is similar to tennis but has its own court, paddle, ball and rules. Most people find it more forgiving than tennis and easier to play. But even though it can be less impactful on your joints, it’s still a great workout, says physical therapist Jim Edwards, DPT. You need to move quickly and make rapid decisions,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. “Advanced picklers are taking their play to the next level with tournaments across the U.S. and world,” Edwards told the Clinic. So how does Reese stay in shape? Here’s how.

1. She Rides Her Bike

Last week, Witherspoon shared photos of her “Summer so far,” including her on a bicycle. “Health benefits include improved cardiovascular fitness, stronger muscles, greater coordination and general mobility, and reduced body fat. As with other types of exercise, it can also help improve mental health by lowering stress levels and stimulating feel-good endorphins,” says Harvard Health.

2. She Does Yoga

“Yoga is as good as basic stretching for easing pain and improving mobility in people with lower back pain. The American College of Physicians recommends yoga as a first-line treatment for chronic low back pain,” says Hopkins Medicine. “Gentle yoga has been shown to ease some of the discomfort of tender, swollen joints for people with arthritis, according to a Johns Hopkins review of 11 recent studies.”

3. You Know She Reads

Reese’s book club is an empire. This month’s choice? “If you stumbled upon a curiously abandoned house, would YOU go inside? 👀 Our July @reesesbookclub pick, #TheCliffs by @jcourtsullivan follows main character Jane’s journey as she uncovers the past lives of a home. 🔦🏠 It’s an entrancing spin on a generational novel and filled with mystery.”

4. She Hydrates With Lemon in Her Water

“Most of us don’t drink enough water. A daily lemon water habit is an easy way to get your day off on the right foot. How do you know if you’re drinking enough? Your urine is almost clear,” says the Cleveland Clinic. And: “Like all produce, lemons contain phytonutrients, which protect your body against disease. These phytonutrients have powerful antioxidant properties, which prevent cell damage from oxidation, the same mechanism that causes rust.”

5. She Plays Pickleball Now!

“With a smaller court and many quick movements, pickleball is a great way to improve your balance and coordination over time. The game’s lateral movements allow players to build strength while improving stability. Additionally, pickleball exercises your hand-eye coordination, which is especially good for older adults who may experience a decline in hand-eye coordination with age,” says Tallahassee Memorial. “An obvious perk of pickleball is its effect on our physical fitness. With a wiffle-like ball and a smaller court and racket, most people find pickleball to be easier to learn and lower impact than other racket sports while still providing health benefits.”

Lexie Hull is a professional basketball player with an ever-growing following. She currently plays for the Indiana Fever. She previously played for Stanford. A few weeks ago, she shared a set of photos on Instagram of herself at games and at practice. Hull captioned the post, “Tis the season.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lexie Hull stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Plays Basketball

Basketball is the main way Hull stays in shape. According to Better Health, the sport has a lot of benefits. “While not renowned as an aerobic sport, it is still a great workout that can help you: burn calories (an hour of basketball can burn 630–750 calories), build endurance, improve balance and coordination, develop concentration and self-discipline, build up muscle.”

2. She Does Aerial Work

Hull likes to try new things to stay in shape. One thing she is learning to do is aerial yoga. She shared this video of herself using silks at a studio. Hull captioned the post, “Try something new in 2023: ✅” The Columbia Association states that aerial yoga is a great workout. “Aerial yoga essentially lifts traditional postures off the ground. This temporary relief from gravity is great for your joints. The aerial hammocks support your body and empower you to take on more challenging poses without strain, force or effort. This helps you achieve proper alignment, deeper stretches and more release in the joints and muscle fibers.”

3. She Plays Pickleball

Basketball isn’t the only sport Hull enjoys. She also loves to play pickleball. Hull shared this video on Instagram of herself playing a game. She captioned the post, “I can see what the hype’s all about.” Renown Health states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Hitting and receiving the ball can help improve your hand-eye coordination and balance. It helps your mind stay sharp, supports cognitive function and builds footwork skills. Moving your whole body during the game allows your joints to stay flexible.”

4. She Has Support

Hull has found a supportive community in the basketball world. She opened up about this to The Spokesman Review. “Spokane breeds some really good basketball players. I know a lot of them are still playing and it’s super awesome to have that 509 connection across the basketball world. I know there’s people overseas, there’s people everywhere still playing, still pursuing the game. They have my support and I know they’re supporting me. It’s a super-tight community for sure.”

5. She Hikes

"As with all exercise, hiking comes with heart health benefits. Studies have shown that exercise can reduce your risk of heart disease. By working out, your circulation improves and your heart becomes stronger," says the Cleveland Clinic. "It’s recommended that everyone gets at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise each week. And for Dr. Kampert, it’s all about improving your oxygen consumption or VO2 max, which shows how well your heart pushes blood to your muscles, and how efficiently your muscles can extract the oxygen from your circulating blood."

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training
