Jordana Brewster In Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares Gym Selfie
Jordana Brewster is back into her regular workout routine after being out of town for work. Brewster, 44, shared a picture of herself wearing two-piece Alo Yoga workout gear, posing for a selfie in the gym. Another snap shows the actress taking her dogs on a walk. "Back at it," she captioned the post. Brewster is incredibly disciplined when it comes to her health and fitness routine—here's how the busy mom-of-two does it.
Strength Training and Pilates
Brewster does Pilates, strength training, as part of her fitness regimen, often working out at 5 a.m. to get her exercise in before the kids are up. "When you get up and exercise, you establish a healthier mindset, which makes you more mindful of what you eat during the day," Jasmin Theard, ACSM HFS, tells Piedmont Health. "Exercise leads to the secretion of neurotransmitters that promote mental clarity and an improved attention span," she says. "You'll feel a sense of accomplishment, as well as rejuvenated and recharged."
Dr. Barbara Sturm
Brewster gets regular facials in Los Angeles. "I love, love, love Dr. Barbara Sturm," she told New Beauty. "I love her products and I go to her for microneedling, where afterward, she applies this serum that makes you look instantly younger. I also see this wonderful woman, Flavia Lanini, who does these lymphatic drainage treatments—they make a huge difference. I'm also big on taking care of myself from the inside out. I know I can't overdo it on the salt; I know I have to drink plenty of water."
Los Angeles Hair Care
Brewster washes her hair a lot due to her workout routine. "I love the Shu Uemura Moisture Velvet because it keeps my hair from looking dry or ashy," she told Into the Gloss. "Sometimes I'll style it myself, but I do go to Drybar in L.A. a lot. Since I work out regularly, if I get a really good blowout, I'll just use the Ouai Dry Shampoo. Or I'll just leave my hair wet, put it in a loose low bun, and I get texture that way. Living in L.A., you don't have to do much."
Botox and Fillers
Brewster has fabled with Botox but is very careful not to overdo it. "I find it can be tricky for actors because I need to be able to raise my eyebrows and grimace," she told New Beauty. "I also find that, unfortunately, because I run a lot, I seem to go through it faster. That's why I only go to very, very skilled, subtle injectors. There's sort of an aesthetic where you can't tell the difference between someone who's 18 and someone who's 45; I find that disturbing. I'm definitely super cautious."
Face Masks In the Car
Brewster is a big fan of face masks. "I meditate once a day for 20 minutes," she told New Beauty. "I find that, when I don't, I see a difference. I find podcasts very relaxing, so I listen to them when I'm running. All of that stuff helps. What else do I do? I like a good jade roller right out of the fridge. This morning I was doing it, and my son was like, 'Mommy, what are you doing?' I'm also not afraid of a good mask. I'll put on masks in the car and just wear them under glasses. I don't really care who sees it."
