Kandi Burruss in Bikini Is “So A-T-L”

Kandi Burruss is living her best vacation life in her bikini, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and former member of Xscape shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit on a recent tropcial getaway. “I’m so A-T-L 🙌🏾,” she captioned the Instagram clip. How does the reality star maintain her fit physique? Here are her diet and fitness habits.

Morning Workouts

In an Instagram Story posted in September 2020, Burruss revealed that she had gained 20 pounds during the pandemic. “The beginning of COVID, I was working out and I was in shape. And even then, I wanted to lose 10 pounds, but I ended up getting lax and comfortable and I ended up gaining 20. So that means I have 30 pounds of which I really would like to lose. And I just want to better myself overall. I just want to get used to making working out a part of my regular routine,” she said. She started working out with her cousin Patrick. “He’s a trainer,” she revealed. “He got up and came to my house at 7 a.m. for us to work out. It’s gonna be our regular time. So, I hope that I can stick to this.”

No Bread or Sugar

In March 2021, she discussed her weight loss. “I’ve lost 20 pounds since November,” she told Hollywood Life. “I want to lose 10 more pounds.” She also revealed that cutting out two things from her diet was the game changer: Sugar and bread. “I took out all sweets,” she said. “I stopped eating all sweets, bread.”

Hydration

Another way that Kandi achieved weight loss success was eby liminating all sugary beverages and focusing on hydration. “I only drank water, no juices, anything,” she added to Hollywood Life.According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Appetite Suppressants

Appetite suppressants were also part of her approach, “so I didn’t feel hungry all of the time,” she told Hollywood Life. “I’m not even going to lie to you, I needed a little help, so it just helped me stay on course.”

Fasting

Kandi is also a fan of fasting. “I always do this prayer fast during the first month of the year,” Kandi told Hollywood Life. “But I actually did it for 2 months. December, January.”Intermittent fasting prolongs “the period when your body has burned through the calories consumed during your last meal and begins burning fat,” explains Johns Hopkins Medicine.
