Kara Del Toro is heating up the DR in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the influencer flaunts her amazing body in a bathing suit as she goes boating on the island. “The Dominican Republic has been on my bucket list for years and I’m so happy I finally got to go! From the lush landscapes to the crystal-clear waters, every moment here feels like a dream,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Green Tea
ShutterstockKara maintains that “drinking lots of green tea,” is also an important part of her health plan as “it boosts the metabolism,” she told Toronto Paradise. Numerous studies have shown that a variety of teas may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease.
A Healthy, Balanced Diet
Kara has a relaxed approach to diet. "I should be better, but I kinda eat whatever I want," the model, who soared to fame in a Carl's Jr. ad, told Fox News in an interview. "I do eat burgers and pizza." She added to Toronto Paradise: “But a healthy well balanced diet is important.”
Tennis
Kara enjoys playing tennis. “You've met your match,” she captioned this post. Should you pick up a racquet? ACE Fitness maintains that it blends together cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and hand-eye coordination. "While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding," they say.
Exercise
Kara amps up her workouts when she needs to. "If I have a swimsuit shoot or something coming up, I make sure to start working out more," she told Fox. And if I have something important coming up that week, I'll really try to cut down on sugar and carbs," she added.
Hiking
According to Kara “making sure you're doing cardio at least three times a week,” is important. “I go hiking at least three times a week, I also do yoga and meditation,” she told Toronto Paradise. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
