Karrueche Tran In Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares Core Workout
Actress Karrueche Tran has never been stronger or fitter—and thanks to the model sharing her workouts on social media, we get to see exactly how she does it. Tran, 35, posted Instagram story videos of herself wearing blue leggings and a white sports bra, using kettlebells and resistance equipment at the gym to do a core workout under the eye of a personal trainer. So how does she do it? Here's what Tran's diet and wellness regimen looks like.
Hot Yoga and Sauna Sessions
Tran loves to sweat as part of her workouts and wellness routine. "I do Sweatheory, it's a place in L.A. where they have small, heated saunas that go up to 130 degrees," she told The Cut. "You can sit in it. When I want to clear my face or if I'm feeling sick and want to get toxins out of my body, I'll sit in there for around an hour. I step out at certain times when it gets too hot. I've been doing a lot of hot yoga too, where I sweat a lot."
She Loves To Run
Tran enjoys running as part of her workout routine. "I've been doing yoga in the morning," she told Page Six. "But I've also been running, which is very new to me. I do not like to run — I do not like cardio at all — but I actually started running with [then boyfriend Victor Cruz) about a month ago, and it's been great. We've been running together and we have been encouraging each other to keep going and to do longer runs."
Salads and Burgers
Tran doesn't cook much at home, unless it's tacos with her girlfriends. "I just try to eat as much as possible," she told ELLE. "In the morning I might have fruit or maybe oatmeal at home, or a bagel with coffee. I try to cook as much as possible, but I love to eat out. Summer in L.A., I'll have a salad or sandwich. It depends what I'm in the mood for. If I crave a burger, I'm like, 'straight to In-N-Out.' I've been craving steak lately."
Oils For Hair Care
Tran takes extra care of her hair and scalp after dying her hair platinum blonde a few years ago. "My scalp has been very dry lately with the weather, so I bought Moroccan oil scalp treatment," she told The Cut. "It comes with a little squeeze-y thing. You squeeze the oil into your hands and just massage it into your hair, it's so easy. Sometimes I'll leave it in for a day or two if I don't have a hairstyle that I need to do. Just keeping that moisture in my hair is important."
Protecting Mental Health
Tran takes time every day for mindful meditation. "I'm a big fan of meditation and making sure I take the time to focus on myself and my mental happiness," she told Vogue. "I've been setting the vibe and clearing my mind with Taylor Candle & Co. Black Raspberry candles, a small Black-owned candle company I recently came across and love!"
