Actress Karrueche Tran has never been stronger or fitter—and thanks to the model sharing her workouts on social media, we get to see exactly how she does it. Tran, 35, posted Instagram story videos of herself wearing blue leggings and a white sports bra, using kettlebells and resistance equipment at the gym to do a core workout under the eye of a personal trainer. So how does she do it? Here’s what Tran’s diet and wellness regimen looks like.

1. Hot Yoga and Sauna Sessions

Karrueche.Tran.1Karrueche Tran/Instagram

Tran loves to sweat as part of her workouts and wellness routine. “I do Sweatheory, it’s a place in L.A. where they have small, heated saunas that go up to 130 degrees,” she told The Cut. “You can sit in it. When I want to clear my face or if I’m feeling sick and want to get toxins out of my body, I’ll sit in there for around an hour. I step out at certain times when it gets too hot. I’ve been doing a lot of hot yoga too, where I sweat a lot.”

2. She Loves To Run

Karrueche.Tran.2Karrueche Tran/Instagram

Tran enjoys running as part of her workout routine. “I’ve been doing yoga in the morning,” she told Page Six. “But I’ve also been running, which is very new to me. I do not like to run — I do not like cardio at all — but I actually started running with [then boyfriend Victor Cruz) about a month ago, and it’s been great. We’ve been running together and we have been encouraging each other to keep going and to do longer runs.”

3. Salads and Burgers

Veggie,Burger,With,Salad,,Tomato,And,Fries.,Wooden,BackgroundShutterstock

Tran doesn’t cook much at home, unless it’s tacos with her girlfriends. “I just try to eat as much as possible,” she told ELLE. “In the morning I might have fruit or maybe oatmeal at home, or a bagel with coffee. I try to cook as much as possible, but I love to eat out. Summer in L.A., I'll have a salad or sandwich. It depends what I'm in the mood for. If I crave a burger, I'm like, 'straight to In-N-Out.' I've been craving steak lately.”

4. Oils For Hair Care

Tran takes extra care of her hair and scalp after dying her hair platinum blonde a few years ago. “My scalp has been very dry lately with the weather, so I bought Moroccan oil scalp treatment,” she told The Cut. “It comes with a little squeeze-y thing. You squeeze the oil into your hands and just massage it into your hair, it’s so easy. Sometimes I’ll leave it in for a day or two if I don’t have a hairstyle that I need to do. Just keeping that moisture in my hair is important.”

5. Protecting Mental Health

Tran takes time every day for mindful meditation. “I’m a big fan of meditation and making sure I take the time to focus on myself and my mental happiness,” she told Vogue. “I’ve been setting the vibe and clearing my mind with Taylor Candle & Co. Black Raspberry candles, a small Black-owned candle company I recently came across and love!”

Model and actress Karrueche Tran is on holiday in a beautiful, far-flung location—and she’s got the snaps to prove it. Tran, 35, shared pictures of herself modeling two different bathing suits—one with a yellow top and green bottoms, and another peach-colored two-piece. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Tran stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Hot Yoga and Weight Training

Tran trains at least three times a week. “I do hot yoga and barre classes,” she says. “Barre is good for the thighs and the booty, and I’m all about the booty. I also work with a trainer in the gym. I use machines. I do squats and sumo squats with the bar on my shoulders, and lunges with dumbbells.”

2. No Red Meat

Tran sticks to a vegetable-rich diet with plenty of water. “I cut out red meat and pork,” she says. “I want to be slim thick: slim but still kind of thick at the same time. Because if I go on a strict diet, I become too thin, and I lose all the fat in my body. I’ve been eating more vegetables. I love kale now. Oh, and I drink lots of water. Water’s like my best friend.”

3. Building Up Glutes

karrueche-tran-1Karrueche Tran/Instagram

Tran trained for her role as a dancer on TV show Claws. “We wanted to build the booty up and make my stomach flat,” she says. “But I didn't want to be perfect—we're all real women. We're not perfect. I worked hard, but I wanted to look realistic."

4. Squats and Resistance Bands

karrueche-tran-3Karrueche Tran/Instagram

Tran learned to enjoy exercises she never liked by working with a personal trainer. "I wasn't into training or working out before this,” she says. “Now I like squats; I like working with the resistance bands. I really like working with someone one-on-one!"

5. Simple Beauty Routine

karrueche-tran-2Karrueche Tran/Instagram

Tran’s beauty routine is simple yet effective. “I’m a shower person. Even if I showered at night and I’m going to the gym in the morning, I’ll do a quick shower in the morning,” she says. “So I’ll wash my face with Tatcha Rice Wash. Let’s just say it’s a regular day, and I’m not doing a photo shoot or anything like that. I’ll use the Dior Capture Totale Serum and the moisturizer together. That’s kind of it!”

KarruecheTranKarrueche Tran/Instagram

Karrueche is devoted to fitness, mixing up her workouts to maintain variety and breaking a sweat “a least three times a week,” she told Muscle & Fitness. One of her favorite classes? Barre. “Barre is good for the thighs and the booty, and I’m all about the booty. I also work with a trainer in the gym. I use machines. I do squats and sumo squats with the bar on my shoulders, and lunges with dumbbells. I’m tiny, so I don’t want to use too much weight. I don’t want to be a little stick with muscle.”

2. She Doesn’t Diet

"Diets don't really work for me," she says. "I want to be fit and have some meat on my bones. I stopped eating carbs and red meat for a month and a half, and I was like, 'Oh, no, I lost my butt!' I have to eat potatoes and rice and meat to bulk up. But I do try not to eat too much fast food,” she told Glamour about her diet. “I’ve been eating more vegetables. I love kale now,” she added to Muscle & Fitness.

3. She Drinks a Lot of Water

“My one thing is, I drink lots of water,” Tran revealed to HollywoodLife. “I know it sounds cliché, but I try to drink big bottles of water. I try to drink at least one a day, or two, but it should be three per day, so three liters a day.”

4. She Cheats

Karrueche believes in the occasional indulgence. “In-N-Out Burger used to be my cheat meal,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “I love In-N-Out, but I don’t eat red meat anymore, so I’ll get the grilled cheese. It isn’t as good as a cheeseburger, but it’ll do for now.”

5. She Loves Hot Yoga

Karrueche also stays fit with the help of hot yoga. “I do really hot yoga, like 110 degrees,” she reveals, noting that she loves Hot 8 in Los Angeles. — A California-based yoga studio chain that provides different styles of hot yoga, incorporating free weights and cardio exercises. Hot 8 increases stamina and strength and provides a total body workout,” she told HollywoodLife.“I love that it isn’t just a workout. I can also detox my skin, my face, my body, just everything. It just makes me feel so good and powerful. Not only are you cleansing your body and your face, you’re just stretching and you’re flexible.”

6. She Likes Sharing Her Workouts On Social Media

Tran hopes to inspire others by sharing her workouts on social media. "I love reading the comments and seeing someone say, 'This just motivated me to go to the gym today,'" she told Glamour. "It benefits us all to motivate others." To stay motivated: "No.1: Again, start with what you can do. No. 2: Don’t think you have to run a marathon or be an elite athlete. No. 3: Build exercise into your day. Take the stairs or park in the back of the parking lot. No. 4: Schedule exercise into your day as if it were an appointment. No. 5: Get a workout buddy. And No. 6, which is key," says the Mayo Clinic.

Chontel Duncan is sharing her new glute workout – in her exercise clothes. In a new social media post the fitness trainer and influencer flaunts her amazing figure in a two-piece exercise set while unveiling “The Glute Project,” her new workout. “A 15 week project designed to sculpt, strengthen & lift your glutes into their best shape,” she wrote in the Instagram caption adding that it’s “low impact,” “can be completed in a standard home gym set-up,” and at “beginners and intermediate levels.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Breakfast

Overnight Oats with blueberries

Chontel shared her day-on-a-plate with Beauty Heaven. For breakfast she fuels up with protein and healthy fiber. “Oats cooked with water and topped with sugar-free maple syrup, with a long black coffee,” is her usual meal. “Plus a WPI or WPH (whey protein isolate or whey protein hydrolysate] shake, mixed with just water and ice,” she said. Why should you have protein in the morning? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW), but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

Mid-Morning Snack

Next up? A mid-morning snack to keep her going. “Either rice cakes with 50 per cent fat-free butter and vegemite, veggie sticks with hummus, beetroot dip and avocado dip, fruit salad or another protein shake,” she says.

Lunch

Next up, lunch. “A mushroom burger!” she says. “Topped with lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, grated carrot, beetroot, avocado, low-fat cheese, American yellow mustard and Fountain low-sugar tomato sauce (phew!). On a wholegrain or rye bun.”

Afternoon Snack

After lunch and before dinner she stays satiated with an afternoon snack. “Either rice cakes with 50 per cent fat-free butter and vegemite, veggie sticks with hummus, beetroot dip and avocado dip or fruit salad,” she writes.

Dinner and Dessert

For her final meal of the day, she cooks up a yummy asian inspired dish. “Tofu and veggie stir-fry using either egg thin noodles or basmati rice. Flavoured with coconut aminos, garlic, ginger, chilli, lime and honey,” she says. Then, for dessert, she has Fit Lato ice cream.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
