Kate Hudson is looking gorgeous in Greece – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the actress shows off her incredible body during a vacation workout session, wearing a leotard in her mirror selfie. “Absolutely dreamy!” she captioned a series of Instagram snaps taken at the One and Only in Athens, Greece. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Changing Her Approach to Fitness

Kate doesn’t train the same way at 45 that she did at 25. She works out with Brian Nguyen, who has her lifting weights. “When (Brian and I) started working together, one of the things I never did was strength training, that was something I never realized was a huge part missing," Hudson told Today. Some of their go-to exercises? Hip and glute bridges, planks, bodyweight squats, and lunges. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

2. Listening to Her Body

According to Kate, “tuning in” to her body was a game changer. “If you’re tuned in and your body tells you, it really does speak to you,” she told Today. "One day, I tuned in and I was like ... I don’t feel strong, I feel long and I love my Pilates but as I get older... am I doing enough (strength) exercises?”

3. Greater Emphasis Protein

Salmon,Fillet,Raw,Red,Fish,Seafood,Appetizer,Meal,Food,SnackShutterstock

Hudson also amped up her Protein intake. “Food is everything,” she says. "The food we eat is fuel for our body," she added. “We, especially women, should really be eating more protein, especially in the morning.” According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW), but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

4. Keeping Track of Food

Hudson is a big fan of MyFitnessPal. “Food is 80% of the challenge ... and tracking it, knowing it, understanding it, and having the knowledge is something I'm passionate about," she said. She explains that even if you think you are eating healthy, like she did when she was on the raw food diet in 2011 while filming Something Borrowed, you might be gaining weight instead. "It was trendy at the time to eat raw, but I gained maybe 10 to 15 pounds and I didn't understand what was happening because I thought I was eating so healthy and I cut out meat," she said. "I started tracking, and (realized) I was eating about 3,000 calories of just nuts ... If I didn’t have access to understand (that), I would have never known," Hudson adds.

5. Saunas

In one of her recent photos, Kate takes a dry sauna in her swimsuit. While some claim the health benefits of saunas are plentiful, including detoxification, increased metabolism, weight loss, increased blood circulation, pain reduction, antiaging, skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular function, improved immune function, improved sleep, stress management, and relaxation, there isn’t a lot of research backing up the claims.

Kate Hudson continues to wow her social media followers with her fabulous figure. The 42-year-old has been sharing a slew of workout videos on Instagram as of late, revealing the exact moves that help her achieve her strong, toned, and taut physique. However, on Wednesday she gave the world a glimpse at her “post-workout routine”—and the results were charming. Celebwell has the lowdown on how Hudson recovers post-workout and some of her other best workout tips, and the photos that prove they work. Read on—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. Her Post-Workout Ritual Involves...Chips?

“Rani doesn’t quite understand my post workout routine yet ,” Kate cheekily captioned the image of herself lounging on a couch in a bikini with her daughter feeding her chips. "I CANT !!!!!!" commented floral designer Eric Buterbaugh. "1st with your rocking body and 2nd with just how cute that Rani is, it’s all too much." "Lol," said Katie Couric. Fashion designer Brian Atwood responded with all heart emojis.

2. She Works Out Consistently

2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsAllen Berezovsky/Getty Images

One of Kate’s secrets to staying in shape is that she makes sure to work out nearly every day. Kate is incredibly fit because she makes exercise a priority, working out almost daily. She works out “at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she revealed in an interview with InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

3. She Alternates Workouts

Kate told InStyle that when it comes to exercise, she does “everything.” Alternating workouts is a great tactic to avoid workout fatigues. “I have to switch it up, I get so bored," she explained. "I've been loving the Obé app, they have 20-minute workouts that are really hard and if you do them with the proper form they're really effective. I love my yoga apps, like Glo, and I use Body by Simone and Tracy Anderson's apps too — there's nothing better than her abs workout. I love my Peloton. I love Pilates — that's always been my number one." Recently she has been sharing some of her Tracy Anderson Method moves on Instagram.

4. She Focuses on Her Core

The key to Kate’s flat abs is abdominal workout. “I’m an ab [workout] fanatic,” she told Well + Good about her focus area, “and I hate [doing] them.” She often uses a stability ball to force her abs to work harder. “I’ve had a C-section, and I think any woman who has had a C-section knows how hard it is to re-engage that lower part of your abs,” she explained. “My C-section was 16 years ago, but if I go a few days without doing abs, my brain has a hard time re-engaging that area.”

5. She Does Things That Make Her “Feel Good”

“I’ve always felt that wellness is about your quality of life,” she recently explained to Women's Health about her personal philosophy when it comes to fitness. “You need to know what makes you feel good. It’s about doing the things you love, eating the things you want to, exercising and not feeling like you need to [push yourself] for two hours in a hot room. You can just take a nice walk and still be healthy.”

6. She Loves Yoga

Kate is a longtime yogi. "It's about understanding your own individual likes, not fads," she once told SELF about her yoga practice, which includes transcendental meditation and Kundalini yoga. "Anything you do helps. You could sit there and not think of your mantra for your whole practice, but you're still benefiting.”

1. She Prioritizes Her Health, Mind and Body

In her book Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body, Kate promotes the importance of well-being. She understands life can get busy, especially seeing how her mother, Goldie Hawn, handled raising her, but it’s still so important to put your mental and physical health first. "I'm finally at a place in my life where if someone wants to know what I do to stay healthy, why not tell them?" she asks. "Why not put it out there?" She’s not gatekeeping her tricks and wants to promote a healthy lifestyle to other busy women

2. She Dances Her Way To A Slim Figure

"Dancing is the thing for me," she says. "It just makes me feel so much better." We got a little taste of her dancing skills on the show Glee when she guest starred as Cassandra, Rachel Berry's dance teacher in college. She loves to take classes in a more structured environment and sometimes just freestyle, being goofy on her own. Blasting music in the comfort of her own house. "Sometimes I'll lock myself in a room and dance. I'll turn music on as loud as possible and just get weird!" she says, laughing.

3. She’s Not Afraid To Switch It Up

She is constantly changing a lot in her life, and that includes her workouts. "Change is my constant,” she says. "I change my routine. I change my look. I change my mind," said Hudson. When it comes to her fitness routine, that’s the thing she likes to switch up the most. "I'll do Tracy Anderson, I'll do Body by Simone, I do everything," Hudson said. "Nothing, literally nothing, makes me feel like I'm back to my body more than pilates," she says. "I'll travel, and I'll go for a run or I'll spin, but when I go home and get on the reformer or the Cadillac, my body immediately goes back. I can see an instant shift."

She really avoids fads and just does what works for her own individual body and what she enjoys doing. "I don't judge my practice, ever,” she says. She loves challenging her mind and body with transcendental meditation and Kundalini. "You could sit there and not think of your mantra for your whole practice, but you're still benefiting," she says. She's also a big believer in taking a day or two to yourself. "Throw that idea of 'I have to, I have to, I have to' out the window."

5. She’s Mindful and Makes an Effort to Eat Breakfast

Just like exercising, when it comes to Kate's eating, she tries not to obsess, but also to stay mindful. She aims to have five small meals each day, trying to pick mostly plant-based options. "I've pretty much cut meat out," she says. "I don't remember the last time I ate a steak." She sometimes has difficulty with her morning routine, not being much of a breakfast person but has heard that it’s important to eat something in the morning. "The hardest thing for me is eating right when I get up, because I don't like to. I'm not one of those people who wakes up hungry," she explains. "I wake up and I want coffee and even a green juice, but everybody says you've got to eat something, even if it's little. So that's sort of the hardest, but I realize that when I do, I eat less during the day or late at night."

1. This is What Motivates Her

What motivates Kate? “For me, I know that when I'm active, when I'm healthy, when I'm strong, I feel so much better. It never leaves me. I get motivated to do different things, though. One of the things that I find helps a lot of people, number one, is support—like friends, apps, cute clothes. When you look good in something, it does motivate you to say, 'Okay, I'm going to take a walk' or 'I'm going to go for a hike' or 'You know what, I'm going to walk around the block.' The little, tiny things can be really motivating,” she told The Thirty.

2. This is Her Beauty Regimine

"When anyone asks me about my beauty regime, my answer is always sleep, water, and healthy food. For me, that's where it all starts. Beauty really comes from how we treat our bodies and how we honor ourselves," Hudson told Marie Claire.

3. She Worked Out at Home During Quarantine

The Daily Front Row's 5th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

“But the one thing that did change a lot for me is I got really excited about doing my own fitness—not feeling like I had to go anywhere but actually getting into all the different things that were out there. It was really fun dancing with people on live feeds, and then, I discovered so many different apps,” she told The Thirty. “I go back and forth between a couple of different things. We did just launch our fitness app for Fabletics, and they're doing a great job, but it's brand-new, so I'll talk about other apps as well. I like an app called Obé. What I love about Obé is it's hard. I find that in some apps, it's not a really hard workout. It seems I can get a real workout, especially with the 45-minute ones.”

4. This is Why She Started Her Own Supplement Line

An Evening Honoring Christian Marclay: Sound Stories at LACMA, Co-Hosted by LACMA's Michael Govan and Snap Inc.'s Evan Spiegel.Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images

She created her own supplement company, called INBLOOM. “I hate pills,” Hudson told ELLE.com. “And I actually like when things absorb quicker, so I created powders." Why? “I've been asked to do a lot of beauty [in my career], whether it be makeup or skincare, and I love all of it, but I'm a big believer in beauty being an inside-out experience,” she told the website. “And so I thought, what better way than to start with a system that I could create, that could support health and nutrition and wellness. I wanted to create an easy, accessible, premium program so that you're getting top ingredients, that there are no synthetics. I wanted everything to be very pure and very little filler.”

5. She Makes Me Time

“I do check out. I go away with [my family], usually to our ranch in Colorado. I sit and look out at the mountains," she told Women’s Health. "My doctor says I should be going away on my own, but I’ll do that when my kids are a little bit older.”

So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Sharvari is seen doing a strength training exercise. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. Sharvari captioned the post, “BEAST MODE on for Vedaa! ⚠️☠️🥊 Took up boxing to become Vedaa... Now I am ready to pack a punch or be strong enough to take a brutal beating 💪#Vedaa coming to a theatre near you on August 15th.”

She Runs

Sharvari likes to run to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself running on the beach. She captioned the post, “Decided to seas the day!” Better Health says that running is very beneficial. “Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can: help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness, burn plenty of kilojoules, help maintain a healthy weight.”

Natasa Stankovic in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Wednesday Challenge"

Stankovic shares her go-to workout moves, from squats to lunges, cardio, Pilates, and strength training.

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
