Kathryn Budig is practicing yoga – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post, the yoga stunner shows off her amazing body in an exercise set while demonstrating some poses. “Calm feelings,” the Instagram post is captioned. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Yoga
Yoga is Kathryn’s primary form of fitness. “The yoga practice is incredible because it really encourages you to accept exactly who you are and where you are with life. It’s a practice that encourages non-judgment. It was really great for me because when I got into teaching yoga in California, I was going on all these auditions in Hollywood. It was remarkable to see the difference between the two worlds. Hollywood was telling me to lose weight and be prettier, and the yoga practice was telling me ‘hey, you’re great, you’re lovely exactly as you are.’ Plus, it makes your body feel so good. By the end of a practice, I always, always feel better. Taking time out of your day to move and breath and set intention…It’s really nice to have a “mind douche” where all the stuff that’s bothering you gets flushed out,” she told Daily Burn.
Being Prepared
Even when she is traveling, Kathryn prioritizes her health. “I pack a lot of goodies with me. I bring my essential oils, enzymes and probiotics. I’ll always have a reusable water bottle with me to stay hydrated. It’s hard eating on the road but you know, I enjoy food, too. I can’t be as strict with my eating regimen but I don’t focus on what I can’t have. I like to enjoy regional cuisines,” she told Daily Burn.
Hydration
ShutterstockDrinking enough water is essential, per Kathryn. “I’m downing water as I write this! Hydration is key. Mainly water, but I love coconut water as well. When I lift a glass it’s normally a California red, New Zealand white, or rose bubble:)” she told Nutritious Life. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
Healthy Diet

Kathryn maintains a healthy diet. “I adore my food and view the whole experiences around food as love. I’m a huge foodie and find no better way to tell someone I love them than by preparing a homemade meal for them. I believe in making daily healthy choices but living guilt free when I choose to indulge,” she told Nutritious Life.
Hot Baths
Kathryn prioritizes self-care. “Epsom salt baths, reading juicy fiction novels, taking time to write for myself and experimenting in the kitchen” are a few of her go-to methods. How can baths do good for your body and mind? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
Sleep Hygiene
Sleep hygiene is also key. “I try to stay away from my phone and emails (or other stressors) before bedtime. I make a blend of essential oils that I put on before bedtime and sleep with a humidifier that diffuses my favorite relaxing oil blends,” she told Nutritious Life. What are the health benefits of sleep? According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z’s is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
