The Kitchen star Katie Lee Biegel loves working out outside in the sunshine, and that includes when she’s on vacation. Biegel, 42, shared a video of herself wearing a gray tank top and pants, hiking with husband Ryan Biegel in St. Barts. “I can get into a hike that ends with the most beautiful, secluded beach 🏝️ Colombier is only accessible by hiking or by boat, and it’s one of my favorite spots on the planet. #stbarths,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Biegel’s diet, exercise, and wellness routine looks like.
1. Online Fitness App
Biegel is an investor in online platform Obé Fitness and uses it to stay fit since having her daughter in September 2020 . “During the pandemic it made even more sense to be able to work out at home,” she told Hamptons Magazine. “I did the prenatal workout, and then since having the baby I’ve focused on their postnatal workouts. The stretching has also been really important to me because I’ve had a lot of low back pain and hip pain since my pregnancy, so I get on there usually around 7:30 or 8 o’clock at night. I’ll get on and do a 10-minute stretch and it really helps me sleep better at night.”
2. Lots of Vegetables
Biegel always keeps sliced vegetables in her fridge to eat with hummus for a healthy delicious snack. “I keep cut-up veggies in the fridge at all times so that I can grab them with hummus for a quick, healthy snack,” she told Food Network. “Cook more vegetables! Think about making a colorful plate. Vegetables have so many vitamins and antioxidants, plus they are full of fiber, which keeps you full longer. I make protein and carbs about 30% of my plate and vegetables the remaining 70%.
3. Summer Workouts
Biegel switches her workouts up depending on the season. “[In summer] I try to take advantage of the warm weather and be outside for some of my exercise,” she told New Beauty. “Connecting with nature is my version of a wellness place. I go for a power walk in my neighborhood or on the beach, then I come home and stream a 28-minute strength training class on Obe Fitness. If I need some time to relax, I go to Happy Feet in Southampton and have a reflexology massage, which totally resets me.”
4. Self-Care At Home

Biegel makes time for DIY self-care whenever she can. “Since the pandemic and having a baby, I do a lot more myself where before I used to go off and get treatments,” she told Hamptons Magazine. “Although I will say I do love facialist Judith Desirée in Sag Harbor. I’ve known her now for like 15 years. She’s so great and I go to her whenever I can. So that’s one of my favorite self-care things that I actually go out and do.”
5. Postpartum Health
Biegel has no interest in striving after unrealistic standards for postpartum looks. “I think that we’re moving past the culture of a bounce back after baby,” she told Hamptons Magazine. “I think it’s more about reconnecting with yourself and your new body. I’m not sure that I will ever have the same body that I did before. And that’s perfectly fine. My hips are always going to be a little bit wider. I’m going to have areas that are softer. I definitely have more cellulite. And I’m OK with that.”
