She chatted with the outlet about her relationship with Outer Banks star Chase Stokes, joining The Voice as a coach, and being in an all-around amazing place in her life. The "Love Me Like You Mean It" singer shared photos from her PEOPLE shoot, and she looks stunning in a black playsuit and two-piece trench coat 'fit. Her impressive figure takes center stage, and we wanted to find out her go-to fitness secrets.
Erin Oprea, also known as the "Trainer to the Stars," has worked with many country singers, including Carrie Underwood, Kasey Musgraves, and Kelsea Ballerini herself. Erin shared a little insight into training with Kelsea, telling Us Weekly, "She is a hard worker but she loves to laugh too. She's a lot of fun. There's never a dull moment working out with her."

1. Side Plank Hip Pulses
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Erin spilled the tea on Kelsea's go-to ab exercises to achieve her lean tummy and sculpted waist. One of the moves is the side plank hip pulse.
"Go into a side plank on your right elbow," Erin instructed. "Now dip your hips toward the ground (not touching the ground, but close), then bring them back up to neutral. Repeat these dips for 20-45 seconds before repeating the exercise on your left elbow."

2. Elbow Plank with Hip Dips
Kelsea Ballerini is all about planks. Another variation of the exercise she does to maintain a strong six-pack is the elbow plank with hip dips.
"Go into an elbow plank and dip your hips to each side, while using your abs to engage your body before your hips touch the ground," Erin instructed. "Bring your hips up and over to each side, repeating for 30-60 seconds."

3. Sit-up Claps
Sit-up claps fire up the core for the best kind of burn.
"Lay on your back and sit up, while at the same time bringing a straight leg up to meet you," Erin said. "Clap your hands behind your raised leg before returning your leg and upper body down to the ground to repeat clapping behind the other leg. Go back and forth for a total of 10-15 claps behind each leg."

A Healthy Diet Contributors to Kelsea's Toned Abs, Too
The celeb trainer stressed that abs are "truly made in the kitchen" (via Us Weekly). She added, "We can say all we want about, 'Oh we'll just do this move. It's gonna get you abs.' If you really want to lean your abs down, there is no question, up your protein. Don't overdo the starches—I didn't say cut them out. And then do strength training. Strength training all together is gonna burn more calories than doing abs."
In addition to following a diligent ab routine, Erin revealed Kelsea sticks to a healthy diet. When commenting on the country singer's toned abs at the 2023 CMA Festival, Erin said, "Yeah, did you see that ab picture? So much of that comes from eating and drinking, so she has to have the discipline to do that. You can't do one without the other, you have to do both of them to get the results."
