Kelsea tells E! News that when she is on the road, she likes to wear ankle weights. That way, she can get a workout in while preparing for a show. “I wasn’t too intense on my body, because I was moving every night on stage for 90 minutes. So I would put on my little ankle weights, crack my Celsius, and I would walk the arena. I developed this little habit of going up to the top seat every night and watching the trucks load the stage in.”

She Prioritizes Sleep

Kelsea tells E! News that she prioritizes sleep, especially when she tours. “It’s different depending on what I’m doing. When I was on tour, I was much more regimented. Sleep was my number one. Everything came second to that, because if I didn’t get enough sleep, I was not a person the next day.”

For Kelsea, wellness means having balance. “I’m in this phase where I think 80/20,” she explained to E! News. “Eighty percent really being mindful—in health as a whole scope, not just fueling your body and moving, but just taking care of your mental, taking care of your life, your relationships, all that stuff. And then 20 percent, go have fun.”

She Spends Time Outside

Kelsea loves spending time outside, and she does a lot of outdoor activities to keep herself in shape. “When I’m at home in Tennessee, I love to spend time outside to recharge,” she told Furthermore, as reported by SELF. “I love running on trails or going hiking with my friends and family.”

She Practices Self-Love

In an interview with People, Kelsea talked about how she recovered from an eating disorder. She says that she is making sure to practice self-love each day. “I’ve re-calibrated what it means to me to just look in the mirror and just be like, ‘Man, I’m healthy. I’m strong. I have good breath support to do my job well.’ Those are things that matter to me now, rather than: ‘I look skinny in a dress.'”
