Kelsey Plum In Workout Gear Enjoys "Training Camp"

Summer means it's time for the WNBA season to begin, and Kelsey Plum is ready for it. The Los Angeles Sparks player wrapped up her time in training camp earlier this month. Kelsey shared some highlights from camp on her Instagram. In them, she is seen on the court, practicing with her teammates, and recovering from a long dang. She also included a photo and video of herself playing with her dog, captioned it, "Camp life ⛺️ and my son Abe 🐶"
Sbe Loves Pilates & Yoga
Kelsey does a lot of things to keep herself in shape. She shared some of her go-to workouts in an interview with Muscle & Fitness. "I'm really big into Pilates and yoga," she said. "And that's not just off-season. In the season, I think Pilates and yoga helps you to stay strong and also nimble and flexible."
She Does Cardio
Kelsey makes sure to get a cardio workout in. She shared some of her favorites in her Muscle & Fitness interview. "I'm just doing a lot more non-impact training. A legit swimming workout is as hard as any workout that you'll do. Those moments definitely improve my cardiovascular system in the off-season and I've also just started boxing. I really enjoy that, and I think the cardio element is there in boxing as well."
She's Motivated
Kelsey makes sure to stay motivated to workout. She shared what motivates her in her Muscle and Fitness interview. "When I think about being motivated or passionate about things, I really just try to stay present. I try to stay in the moment and whatever is in front of me, whether it's a workout or whether it's a game, a lift, I just try to be great in that workout."
She Eats Healthy
Kelsey makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She revealed to 2adays that she limits her sugar intake. "I changed my diet significantly from when I entered college. I went from eating everything to being a pescatarian. I would advise young players to watch their sugar intake, especially refined sugars. It has a huge negative impact on your body. Also, I would suggest eating for recovery after hard practices. I love chocolate almond milk, with some protein to help your body recover."
She Lifts Weights
One of Kelsey's go-to workouts is lifting weights, and she's been doing this for a long time. "I started in middle school," she revealed to 2adays. "I think I was 13 and lifted three days a week. Nothing crazy (no squatting or heavy weights) all functional movements, and core strength."
