Should You Wash Your Face Twice a Day?

One of the most popular skincare questions is still under debate: Should you wash your face twice a day? Candice set the record straight in an interview with NewBeauty.
You may be surprised to hear that you don't necessarily have to wash it in the morning! Candice noted that you should always wash your face at night for a good end-of-day cleaning. That said, if you have dry skin, she suggested against cleansing in the AM to allow your natural oils to work their magic when you wake up.

Be Cautious of Trending Skincare Products

Before you fall into the latest skincare fad on TikTok, take a step back and reevaluate. While these videos may be enjoyable to watch, Candice noted that a major pet peeve of hers is when people use trending skincare products without taking their skin type and personal needs into account. She stressed that the products one person uses may not be the best option for another.

How You Should Really Pop Pimples
Acne can be incredibly frustrating. Lucky for us, Candice broke down the correct way to pop a stubborn whitehead. The first step is to cleanse your skin with warm water. While it may be a natural reaction to use your fingers, Candice noted to use a Q-tip to carefully press the whitehead out. It's essential for your skin to be clean and the popping to be gentle.

Limit Pimple Patches
Pimple patches seem to be everywhere right now. However, Candice cautioned against using them too much. She told NewBeauty that several of her clients who use them regularly have experienced burning. They should only be used on occasion.
