She’s Consistent

Kesha works with trainer, Kit Rich, to keep herself in shape. In an interview with Shape, as reported by POPSugar, Kit revealed that Kesha is super consistent with fitness. “She travels a lot for work. When I was on tour with her, we trained almost every day. When she is in town, she stays consistent — mainly three times a week, sometimes four. Sessions are one hour long, but she is also great about working out on her own.”
She Does Tabata
Kit tells Shape, via POPSugar, that one exercise she has Kesha do is Tabata. “I switch it up all the time. Today, we did a 24 minute Tabata-inspired routine that only focused on arms using 10-pound weights, an eight-pound ball and a resistance band. So she did a total of six exercises for four minutes each (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off).”
She Does Pilates
Another exercise that Kesha does to stay in shape is Pilates. “Then for the second half, we did Pilates that mainly focused on her core,” Kit said to Shape, as reported by POPSugar. “She is becoming a master at the wunda chair. That woman has strength! A real athlete. The routine was hard but simple, and she was sweating. She loved it.”
She Has A Routine
Kesha makes sure to take care of her mental health on the road, especially since she’s in recovery from an eating disorder. She shared her routine in an interview with SELF. “I always have three meal breaks, ’cause being in recovery, I need to have time to sit and have a meal,” Kesha says. “I have about 30 minutes before I go on stage where I meditate, stretch, and do breathing exercises. People probably think I’m back there doing shots, and [my routine is] the most zen shit you’ve ever seen.”
She Doesn’t Weigh Herself
Another thing that Kesha does to help with her eating disorder recovery is not stress about her weight or calorie intake. “No one could have told me this 10 years ago, but…freedom from that obsession is there,” she tells SELF. “It takes work to get there. But sitting here knowing that I don’t count any calories, I don’t know what my pant size is, and I don’t weigh myself is so beautiful.”
