Kim Kardashian has started a new fitness challenge in her workout gear. In a new social media post the reality star shows off her amazing body in a sports bra and leggings while giving fans a sneak peak of her trainer, Senada Greca’s, new 28 day challenge workout. Holding 5-pound weights she does squats and chest presses during the session, which takes “just 20 minutes a day.” (It's here.) How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. Fueling Up with Food

Kim sticks to clean, healthy food. "I want her to eat real food that’s cooked every day," Alcantara told People. "Most likely if it comes out of a box, it’s not going to be good for you." She also makes sure to fuel up for workouts. "My trainer Mel always says that before and after you train, you should eat simple carbs, like sweet potatoes, and small amounts of fat and protein, like chicken. You should also have veggies with your meals, since you need them to help effectively break down and absorb your protein, fat, and carbs,” she wrote on her app in 2018, according to Harper's Bazaar.
2. Workout Prepping
Some people meal prep. Kim workout preps. “I will lay my clothes out the night before so when I sleep in, I’ll wake up at 5.53[am] instead of 5.45, and I just know my outfit is there,” she said. “I have a toothbrush and my toothpaste all ready to go, laid out by my sink. I just have to brush my teeth and go to the gym.”
3. Daily Workouts
“I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day,” Kim told E! News. She added to Vogue that she sleeps for just five hours, waking up at 5:30 am to hit the gym. "Just like anybody else, there are days where Kim's not really feeling it, but she will do it," Alcantara trainer told People in 2020. "Then there are a lot of days when she's killing it! She never questions the stuff that I make her do, she's just like, 'Okay,' and I love that."
4. LISS Workouts

Kim is also into steady state cardio, aka LISS. "Two days out of the week we’ll do steady-state cardio," Alcantara explained to WH, "so just walking at a steady pace on the treadmill for usually around 20 minutes. Nothing getting the heart rate too high."
5. Strength Training

Kim started doing “really hardcore” weight training and bodybuilding workouts with Melissa Alcantara in 2017, which transformed her body. At the same Alcantara told Women’s Health that 85% of their training was done with weights and just 15% was devoted to cardio. She currently trains with Senada Greca.
6. Sprinting

Kim relies on short and fast sprints. "Been sprinting every day!" she wrote in one of her Instagram Stories in 2021. "I've been seeing changes!" According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
