Kristin Cavallari in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares New Gym Selfie
Kristin Cavallai is putting her washboard abs on display. In a new mirror selfie The Hills star shows off her amazing body in leggings and a workout top during a gym session. She shared the image via her Instagram Stories. How does the star, 37, achieve her famously fit figure? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Eating Food "As Close to Its Natural State as Possible"
"I am very health conscious, that's important to me," Kristin told Shape in 2023. "I eat a lot of fruit and I definitely eat carbs, healthier carbs." Her philosophy? "I try to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. Not a lot of processed food, but tons of fruits and vegetables, and meat. I try to eat organic as often as possible. I never look at calories or fat or anything. I only read ingredient labels on a package. I won't eat it if it's just full of a bunch of chemicals. I definitely have a sweet tooth and usually have a piece of dark chocolate after dinner."
Weightlifting
Kristin used to focus her workouts around lifting heavy weights. "185lbs 💪🏻 new record for me," she captioned one workout video. However, in the last year she started paying attention to what her body needs. "I was working out with my trainers three days a week and I actually gained more weight than I wanted to," she tells Shape. "It's important to lift weights and I love where my muscle is at now, but I had to back off. We all have to figure out what works for us. I think it's more about listening to your body and also how you feel in your clothes. I don't really like weighing myself. I will from time to time just to check-in. But for the most part, [I measure my fitness] more just on how I feel and how I feel in my jeans."
No Keto or Intermittent Fasting
Kristin once adhered to the keto diet and intermittent fasting. However, she admits the trendy eating styles were a bad combination for her. "Nothing messed up my metabolism more than doing those two things together," she said on her podcast Let's Be Honest. "Only in the last few years I have finally stabilized. I think those things mess up your body so much. It's shocking to your body. I was afraid to eat a carrot! It's insane. I think diets are garbage — all of them."
Self-Care
Since her divorce Kristin has been engaging in self-care. "I've been able to prioritize myself in the last few years. I think it's the best thing that we can do for ourselves and for our families," she told Shape. "And yes, in a way it was forced upon me, but it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me. Through anything I choose to look at the positives and that's one really positive that has come out of my divorce."
Colostrum
Kristin relies on colostrum. "This might be a little controversial," she said on her podcast. "I get mine from a brand called Crucial Four because it's very clean," Cavallari says. "When babies are born and [breastfeeding], it has all the benefits they need. I put it in smoothies and I give it to my kids, too. It's really good for your gut also. Basically everything."
