Kristin Cavallari is enjoying a fun-filled trip to beautiful Montana with boyfriend Mark Estes. Cavallari, 37, shared pictures of their vacation, including one of herself wearing gray two-piece workout gear and a matching hat, posing with Estes out on a hike. “MT with him 🤍,” she captioned the post. Cavallari is thriving in her 30s—here’s what her approach to diet, wellness, and training looks like as a busy mother-of-three.

1. Lifting Weights

Cavallari was working out with trainers three times a week but takes it easier now. "It's important to lift weights and I love where my muscle is at now, but I had to back off,” she told Shape. “We all have to figure out what works for us. I think it's more about listening to your body and also how you feel in your clothes. I don't really like weighing myself. I will from time to time just to check-in. But for the most part, [I measure my fitness] more just on how I feel and how I feel in my jeans."

2. Real Food

Pieces,Of,Delicious,Dark,Chocolate,Bars,On,White,Background,,FlatShutterstock

Cavallari enjoys one piece of dark chocolate after dinner to indulge her sweet tooth. "I am very health conscious, that's important to me," she told Shape. "I eat a lot of fruit and I definitely eat carbs, healthier carbs. I try to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. Not a lot of processed food, but tons of fruits and vegetables, and meat. I try to eat organic as often as possible. I never look at calories or fat or anything. I only read ingredient labels on a package.”

3. Balanced Diet

Cavallari tries to model a healthy approach to diet and fitness for her family. “I look at my diet like a checkbook,” she told PureWow. “If I indulge at a restaurant or on vacation, it’s no problem because the next day I’ll fuel my body with more salads and proteins to balance how I feel.” “It’s really important to me for my kids to see that I have a healthy relationship with food and fitness. They know firsthand how junk food makes them feel vs. nutritious alternatives, and that guides their own choices.”

4. Meditation and Nature

Cavallari meditates and (smartly) avoids the comments online. “It's extremely important to take care of yourself mentally with public scrutiny,” she told Glamour. “I don't read social media comments, blogs etc. That's been a game changer for me. I also meditate and try to get outside to connect with nature. Plus, kids help put everything in perspective.”

5. Living Her Best Life

Cavallari is happily living her best life. "I've been able to prioritize myself in the last few years. I think it's the best thing that we can do for ourselves and for our families," she told Shape. "And yes, in a way it was forced upon me, but it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me. Through anything I choose to look at the positives and that's one really positive that has come out of my divorce."

Kristin Cavallari first started out her long career as a reality star. Her first show was Laguna Beach, she then appeared on The Hills. Years later, she starred in Very Cavallari. Cavallari also has her own clothing and beauty lines. She recently shared a photo of herself at the gym on her Instagram story. Cavallari wore a sweatshirt that said, “Not in the mood” on it. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kristin Cavallari stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She’s Putting Herself First

Cavallari talked about her wellness journey to Shape. She says that she has learned to prioritize herself after her divorce. "I put myself last and I was really burned out," she says. "With my divorce, I didn't have my kids full-time anymore and so I had alone time for the first time in a long time. It was really weird at first because I didn't know what to do with it. What I chose to do was really work on myself – mentally, physically, emotionally, all of it."

2. She’s Not Being Hard On Herself

Cavallari tells Shape that she’s working on not being so hard on herself and forcing herself to a specific schedule. "I used to be very much about a routine and there was no wiggle room. I would get really down on myself if I missed a workout or missed whatever it was. That was all about trying to control everything in my life. I have learned to relax a little bit more and am in more of a state of flow. I try to choose a word for the year and this year I chose 'flow.' I do feel like I'm just more in a state of flow, just letting whatever's supposed to happen, happen."

3. She Eats A Lot Of Natural Food

Healthy,Eating,Background,/,Studio,Photography,Of,Different,Fruits,AndShutterstock

Cavallari makes sure to eat healthy, and shared her approach to eating with Shape. "I try to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. Not a lot of processed food, but tons of fruits and vegetables, and meat. I try to eat organic as often as possible. I never look at calories or fat or anything. I only read ingredient labels on a package. I won't eat it if it's just full of a bunch of chemicals.”

4. She Cooks

Cavallari loves to cook with her three children. "Cooking is definitely an area that all three kids enjoy, which makes me so happy," she says to Shape. "Even my oldest, I don't know how that happened but I feel very lucky and I think it's very cool that they want to be in the kitchen. It was Jaxon's idea to have each of them make dinner one night this week, which is really fun."

5. She Uses A Stairmaster

Kristin.CavallariKristin Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari shared some of her favorite workouts in this TikTok. One thing she likes to do is use a stairmaster. She is seen on the machine at the beginning of the video, and revealed that this is part of her warmup. AceFitness states that stair climbing has a lot of benefits. “Stair climbing also heavily recruits muscles of your posterior chain — the glutes and calves — as well as hip flexors and muscles in the ankle, which are required to raise your foot up onto each stair. So the workout will help strengthen all those muscles.”

MMA fighter Aspen Ladd isn’t going to let a little bit of rain stop her from enjoying her daily hikes in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Ladd, 29, shared a video of herself wearing orange shorts and a matching sports bra, standing outside in the cold weather. “Started this hike at sunny and 78 degrees, ended it at raining and 59 degrees. It was quite refreshing 🙂,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Ladd stays strong, happy, and fighting-fit.

1. Focusing On the Fight

Ladd focuses on the next fight and doesn’t dwell on what might happen after. “Every fight that I have is the end of the world,” she told UFC.com. “I don’t really look beyond it. I’m sure there’s people in general that I’d like to fight, but it’s not something I’m going to think about until after this one. That’s the most nerve-wracking point in my life. That’s the only time that I ever feel nerves. Not even the hand-wrapping or any of that. It’s the walkout until the ref says, ‘Go.’ It’s going to be an anxious moment. After that, it’s all good.”

2. Hiking With Her Dogs

Ladd loves to hike with her dogs in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The fighter posts pictures of the spectacular scenery almost every day. “Hiking through the summer rain before heading down to the California Capital Airshow 🛩️✈️🛩️today @capitalairshow . Come say hi 👋 if you see me !!!!” she captioned an Instagram post.

3. Meal Plans

Ladd is familiar with making cuts for weigh-ins, saying she knows to be strict. “I have a meal plan company, I have my coach and I have the PI so I’m utilizing it all together and they’re doing an extremely good job,” she told MMA Fighting. “I have things explained to me on a daily basis that I didn’t know before. Like there’s a difference between a water load and a water taper for example. It’s just there’s little things you’re going to learn the rest of your career. It’s the same as fighting. I’m never going to know all of it.”

4. Strength Training

Ladd does resistance training at the gym to stay strong and fit. This Instagram video shows the fighter using resistance bands to work out, holding one hand up while she works the other one. “Mornings,” she captioned the post. She also frequently gets a 5-mile run in before breakfast with her three dogs on the mountain trails.

5. Outdoors Lifestyle

Ladd is happiest out in nature with her pets. “Tonight’s lovely view, this particular trailhead is 20 minutes from my home . I went down the mountain this morning for boxing, and some rehab for the injury I’m currently healing up . It was a good day 🙂,” she captioned a post.

MMA fighter Aspen Ladd is ready to rumble—you can tell by counting the abs on her stomach. Ladd, 29, shared a picture of herself posing in red yoga pants and a purple shirt, showing off impressive abdominal muscles in preparation for her fight. “You can usually tell how close to a fight I am , based on how many abs I have 😂 the current answer is, ‘very close’,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Ladd stays strong, fit, focused, and ready for the ring.

1. Hiking With the Pups

Ladd loves to hike with her pups (and doesn’t mind doing some heavy lifting in the process). “We all need a little help sometimes 🙂 this is on today’s 11.5 mile hike. Kaia needs help to cross fast moving water like this ( she will be 14 this summer). It's a privilege to still have old girl as my adventure buddy and enjoying her wild self ❤️,” she captioned an Instagram post.

2. 5 Mile Runs In the Mountains

Ladd goes running in the Sierra Nevada Mountains with her dogs. “5 miles of running and a whole bunch of playing is good for the soul …especially on Thursday before evening training. Because Thursdays are ROUGH usually. Balance ⚖️,” she captioned an Instagram post.

3. Scrubbing Down the Mats

Ladd likes to cool down after training by cleaning the mat herself. “Rate our mat scrubbing skills,” she captioned a funny video. “This gym is a funk free zone 🙅‍♀️ it’s luck of the draw who scrubs them down after each practice ( usually the last ones in the gym) ….but I never mind and it’s a nice cool down after some real good sparring rounds tonight.”

4. Respect For Nature

Ladd is aware the mountains can be dangerous, always has her two German Shepherd dogs with her for protection when she’s hiking. “A beautiful 8 mile loop near my home. It’s always crazy to me when I see people out solo hiking or running. No dogs no other people, headphones in …just livin on hope 😂,” she captioned an Instagram post. “For example, just tonight in 8 miles my dogs alerted that there was some kind of predator near by on 5 separate occasions. Could be anything from a coyote to a bear 🐻 I never know until I find prints of scat . 2 weeks ago it was a cougar. How do I know it’s a predatory animal, you may ask? Easy , my dogs spend so much time out in the mountains with me that I know based on their different reactions.”

5. Recovery Workouts

Ladd switches up her training when to deal with injuries while still staying active. I tweaked my back pretty good at the end of last week, and it’s not quite up to chucking humans around yet 🤼‍♀️,” she captioned a video. “So my coach gave me a less body wrecking assignment to do tonight, and give the back one more day to recover.

Warm up / stretch for 1 mile

Then

Run 1 mile

Shadow box 5 minutes

Repeat ✖️3

Visualize opponents/ scenarios the whole time and practice what we’ve been drilling. It’s a great low stress workout for anyone wanting to try 🙂.”

1. She Stays Consistent

“It’s important to give ourselves grace and not beat ourselves up,” she told Us Weekly. “For so many years in my early 20s, I was all or nothing. I have the best relationship I’ve ever had with food and health because I’ve let go of a lot of that control. It’s about consistency — just keep showing up.” “It's tempting to buy into promises of rapid and dramatic weight loss, but a slow and steady approach is easier to maintain and usually beats fast weight loss for the long term. A weight loss of 0.5 to 2 pounds (0.2 to 0.9 kilograms) a week is the typical recommendation,” says the Mayo Clinic.

2. Here’s Her Workout Schedule

“Like everyone else, my workout and health routine has been up and down during quarantine, but I finally have gotten back on track,” she told Us Weekly. “I lift weights, but I do circuit training to keep my heart rate up. I also started doing hot yoga every once in a while. I don’t do it as often as I would like, but I love it when I’m able to make it happen.”

3. Hot Yoga Works

57th Academy of Country Music Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Hot yoga works. Just be sure to stay hydrated. “Adequate hydration is clearly a critical factor in preventing the adverse effects associated with exercising when the temperature and/or humidity are high inside the yoga studio. In this situation, the ideal approach is to take appropriate steps to prevent dehydration during the workout. To achieve this objective, participants should be encouraged to undertake the following steps to ensure that they are well hydrated before participating in a hot yoga class,” says ACE Fitness.

4. Circuit Training

DanielXDiamond Opening PartyJason Kempin/Getty Images

“It's not as complicated as you might think. Interval training is simply alternating short bursts (about 30 seconds) of intense activity with longer intervals (about 1 to 2 minutes) of less intense activity,” says the Mayo Clinic. “For instance, if your exercise is walking and you're in good shape, you might add short bursts of jogging into your regular brisk walks. If you're less fit, you might alternate leisurely walking with periods of faster walking. For example, if you're walking outdoors, you could walk faster between certain mailboxes, trees or other landmarks.”

5. She Starts Early in the Morning

“Mon-Fri I wake up at 5am to workout before my kids wake up. I love that quiet time to myself before the craziness of the day starts,” she told Glamour. “I lift weights 5 times per week and I eat real food. I never look at calories, only the ingredient label. If there are crazy additives in it, I stay away. When I'm cooking at home, I cook gluten free and I never use cow's milk. When I'm on vacation or go out to eat I'll allow myself those things...all about balance!”

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
