She Eats A Healthy Breakfast

Kristin shared some of her favorite foods in an interview with Women’s Running. She says that she makes sure to eat a healthy breakfast each day. “I believe in eating breakfast for a king, lunch for a queen and dinner for a pauper. This morning, I had egg whites, yogurt, granola and half a croissant. I knew it would be a crazy-busy day and that I’d only have time for a small lunch.”

She Stays Hydrated

Kristin understands the importance of hydration, but it isn’t always easy for her to drink enough water each day. She tells Women’s Running that she likes to bring flavor packets to put in her water when she’s working. “I don’t like drinking water, even though I should, so I bring Crystal Light packets with me to make water more palatable.”

She Eats Healthy Snacks

Kristin tells Women’s Running that she has to snack throughout the day to keep her energy up. “I’m not a great eater. I’m one of those people who will forget to eat if I’m busy. I’m constantly reminding myself: Have some almonds! Have an apple! Eat!” She also makes sure to reach for healthier snack options like veggies and nuts. “I try to reach for carrots, celery and hummus. I also like snacking on edamame, almonds, peanut butter and other high-protein foods.”

She Works Her Core

Kristin shared some of her favorite core workouts in an interview with First For Women. “Recently, I have been trying to get back to getting 10,000 steps in a day, and since my weak point is my core, I’m working more on literally lying down and engaging my core because I have a bad neck. Sit-ups trigger my neck, so I lie on my back and contract my abs for 10 seconds at a time. If I can do that a few times a day and get my 10,000 steps in, it’s a good start!”

She Walks

Kristin tells First For Women that she often walks to keep her mind and her body healthy. “Sometimes, if I’m working a lot, I’ll tell whoever I’m talking to, ‘I need to walk around the block.’ There’s something about that walk that has changed me in the past year. Just being in nature, taking a real deep breath, and noticing things that I didn’t notice before getting back on the phone and getting back into rehearsal has changed my life. If you take just 10 minutes — a real 10 minutes — it makes all the difference.”
