Kristine Froseth is living her best life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post The Buccaneers star flaunts her amazing figure in a bathing suit while making a splash in the water. In a number of the photos she is with her co-star and boyfriend, Guy Remmers, who plays her love interest on the show. “the happiness is radiating off you,” one of her followers commented. “Always living life to the fullest and gaining the most out of it,” added another. How does the star approach physical and mental health? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Pilates

Group,Of,People,Doing,The,Mermaid,Pilates,Exercise,Or,SideShutterstock

For Birds of Paradise, Kristine trained hard and did a lot of Pilates. “For three months beforehand, they set an intense schedule from morning to night where we would do Pilates, the Gyrotonic method, and some stretch classes. We would observe dance classes and take private beginners’ classes—which aren’t really for beginners, in my opinion!—at these different studios in the city, so I just tried to literally pack as much in as I could. I was really out of touch with my body and so out of alignment and had no idea what these different muscle groups were or what any of this was about, and I had no dance experience prior, so it was really intense, but I’ve learned so much about myself and my body. Overall, it was great,” she told Vogue.

2. Mental Health

Kristine is all about mental health. “If anyone’s struggling with loss or depression, it’s so important to rely on one another and talk about it and ask for support. Amongst us females, I feel like we can support each other within the larger competition because there’s space for everyone. Within my own industry, I have a lot of good friends who go up for the same roles I do, but we know it’s apples and oranges, right? We can compete, but it doesn’t have to be sabotage,” she told Vogue.

3. Ballet

For her role in Birds of Paradise she also endured grueling ballet sessions. "I was just out of alignment for some reason, I guess because I'm [hunched] all the time on my phone... so I had to work on that. And co-ordination, I have none,” she told Newsweek. “I've never danced before so it was definitely challenging to get to know my body while also absorbing all the information regarding dance. I don't know anything, it's so much about opposition and I was having a hard time putting two-and-two together." Froseth said: "The physical aspects were really challenging. Being in the room with professional ballerinas and kind of accepting the reality of the situation that we're trying to portray their lives, and their lifestyle, as closely as possible."

4. Running

Froseth enjoys running, not only because of the physical benefits, but also because it helps with anxiety. She even did the New York City Marathon. “It’s always been a dream of mine to do a marathon and then an Iron Woman,” she told Elle. “I want to push myself in different ways and see how far I can take it.”

5. Hiking

Hiking is another form of self-care for Kristine. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems.

6. Walking

Another healthy habit of Kristine’s is walking, which is great for your health. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

1. Pilates

To prepare for her role in Birds of Paradise, Kristine did a lot of physical prep. Overall, it was great,” she told Vogue.

2. Prioritizing Mental Health

Kristine advocates that people prioritize their mental health.

3. Channeling Her Experiences

CHANEL and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Awards DinnerJon Kopaloff/WireImage

Growing up Kristine was bullied for struggling to adapt to the language shifts and confluence of cultures, splitting her time between Oslo and New Jersey. She used her experience to play a mean girl in Netflix’s Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. “I’m grateful now because I feel like it definitely helped me get out of my comfort zone,” she says, referring to the trials and tribulations of her high school days. “But while it was happening, it wasn’t that fun,” she told Elle.

4. Running

One way Froseth treats anxiety is running. She even did the New York City Marathon. “It’s always been a dream of mine to do a marathon and then an Iron Woman,” she told Elle. “I want to push myself in different ways and see how far I can take it.”

5. She Hikes

Kristine considers hiking a form of self-care. She regularly gets out of her house and explores outdoors. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

6. She Walks

Kristine spends as much time in nature as she can. You can often find her walking. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

With a new book just out, Cravings: All Together, Chrissy Teigen is doing a publicity round, and she’s never been healthier. Newly sober, and chastened by claims of cyberbullying, she was positively glowing on the today Show, and in photos she posted on Instagram. How does the busy mom.writer stay so put together? Read on to see 7 ways Chrissey Teigen stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s Newly Sober

Chrissy.Teigen.1Chrissy Teigen/Instagram

"I'm actually a hundred days sober today and I'm so excited," Teigen told Hoda Kotb on the Today Show yesterday. "I feel so good, I feel very clear-headed. I feel like I've done the work and I just hope these people can forgive and be able to welcome the fact that hopefully they've seen me be better." She knew she had a problem with alcohol. "I've been struggling with it honestly, for the past couple of years when I knew it was kind of an issue," she said. "Just even like doing interviews and things like I would think I needed a glass of wine, and then it just started to get embarrassing like at award shows and things and everyone memes it and thinks it's funny and cute that you fell asleep or something." She continued: "I just was like, I can't be the messy one."This is embarrassing, and I don't want to be waking up in the morning and being like, 'Oh, what did I say?' Like that's so embarrassing and then it was just not worth it."

2. She Has Resolved to “Be Better”

Global Citizen VAX LIVE: The Concert To Reunite The WorldKevin Mazur/Getty Images for Global Citizen VAX LIVE

Teigen apoloigized after claims she cyberbullied model Courtney Stodden years ago. "I think you learn so much in the moments where you do lose so much, you lose it all, your world is kind of turned upside down," Teigen told Hoda. "For me it was a big moment of, 'Wow, I need to find out how I can be better, how I can grow from this, learn from this.' There's that old cliché like I'm glad it happened, but truly it made me a stronger person, a better person." She added: “I look at my kids and I look at what I want their values to be and how I want them to treat people, and to see that in myself that I wasn't doing that. The hardest part for me was realizing, my goodness, this really had an effect on people. ... You don’t really think about the impact and the person on the other side."

3. She Had Surgery For Endometriosis

“Please endo this pain lol,” Teigen said via an Instagram Story from the hospital. “Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus,” says the Mayo Clinic. The pain after the operation was worth it. “It makes it hard, every little cough and stuff, but it is truly still better than the contractions and the pain of endo.”

4. She Works Out when She Can

“Sometimes I’ll go two months without working out and them my trainer will be like, ‘What the hell, get your ass back here!’ And then I go really hard,” she told People. “It’s all about balance,” says Teigen. “And yes, I definitely stray, I go crazy, but if I did that all the time I would be very unhappy, like physically sad and just feeling lazy and horrible.”

5. Here’s Her Breakfast Recipe

Chrissy.Teigen.5Chrissy Teigen/Instagram

Teigen once Instagrammed a luscious breakfast: “low and slow creamy eggs, garlic roasted bacon and burst tomatoes from this morning! To feed 3, I cracked 10 eggs into a big bowl, whisked with a hearty splash of heavy cream and a good amount of salt and pepper. On low, I heated a tablespoon or so of olive oil with a tablespoon of butter in a non stick skillet and poured in the egg mix. Don't stop gently stirring and scraping (edges and all) for more than a few seconds! The first 10 minutes won't look like much but then boom...you'll notice it getting thicker and thicker. As it gets thick enough to stop flowing all over the entire pan, make sure to spread out the eggs throughout the pan and keep stirring. Like cheesy eggs with no cheese! Then out of nowhere, the moisture is mostly gone and you're done! More than worth the wait! (The bacon is roasted at 400 for 10-15 mins with chopped garlic cloves on a baking sheet and tomatoes tossed in olive oil and shaken in a hot pan for a bit)”

6. She Wants to Be Happy-Fit

Chrissy.Teigen.6Chrissy Teigen/Instagram

"Since I was 20 years old, I had this weight in my mind that I am, or that I'm supposed to be," Teigen told Women's Health. "I've been so used to that number for 10 years now. And then I started realizing it was a swimsuit-model weight. There's a very big difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit."

7. She Has Been to Wellness Retreats

62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards – Red CarpetKevin Mazur/Getty Images for The Recording Academy

“We had the most beautiful, wonderful time in Bali. Como Shambhala, my body and mind have never felt so clear. Thank you for getting me to move again ... and giving me some much-needed body and nutrition schooling!” she said in 2017.

1. She Believes Beauty and Wellness are Correlated

“As I’ve matured, I’ve realized the true correlation is between beauty and wellness,” she told W Magazine. “You don’t see that when you’re 20 years old, but as you mature, you start to realize that you can’t rely on genetics anymore, and that you must make a conscious effort in your life. It’s easy to make, it’s not like oh, I have a huge list of things I do. But I am conscious about the decisions I make for myself. And I have noticed that when I feed my body rich, plant-based nutrients, I feel better and I look better. It’s that simple.”

2. She’s Happy to Be Where She Is

"It's about embracing and no longer looking for what's wrong and really being in acceptance of everything," she said at the In goop Health summit, "Gravity is going in directions that I'm not so fond of. I can look in the mirror occasionally and say 'you're lying, I don't look like that.' but the reality is the comfort I feel in my skin is the greatest gift. I wouldn't trade it. I'm just happy to be where I am."

3. She Loves to Dance

Demi has moves. On Instagram, Demi has danced to Goldfrapp (during a photoshoot), danced with fashion designer Pierpaolo Piccioli ("Dancing the night away with @pppiccioli") and done a conga line to ring in “Happy 2020!”—plus she’s done low-impact dance aerobics with a 15-minute Mirror workout.

4. She Once Added a New Mantra

“I added into my daily prayer a new mantra: to have the courage to be seen without padding or protection,” she detailed in her new memoir, Inside Out. “I couldn’t go on fighting my body and my weight; I had to make peace,” she said. “I started by giving up hard exercise. I never went back into the gym in the house. Never. … The room it occupied is now my office.”

5. She Makes it a Family Affair

Demi has starred in Andie swimwear ads alongside her daughters. "It was important to me to include my daughters in this campaign, and I hope others seize opportunities in their lives to create meaningful connections and celebrate every moment with the people they love," she wrote, saying the campaign represented "togetherness and showing up for the people you love," so "it was only fitting that I got to share this moment with the people I love most."

1. She Avoids these Foods

MOCA Gala 2022Robin L Marshall/Getty Images

In 2014 she told Bon Appetit that she had majorly changed her diet. “Last year I gave up wine and stuck with it. I also cut out gluten, dairy, and fish,” she said. “I was getting sick a lot and couldn’t figure out why. I act and run a production company—two very full-time jobs. Everyone’s response to that is always, ‘Do less.’ Well, I need to feel amazing all the time so I can do more. So I cut all those things out and I haven’t been sick since.”

2. She Loves Juice

Krysten also loves to juice. “Somebody was making fun of the juice culture being out of control in Los Angeles, and I was like, ‘What does that even mean? So we’re healthy!’ I’ve been into it for a long time,” she told Bon Apppeit. Her favorite combination? “All greens,” she said. “I don’t have a sweet tooth, so I stay away from anything with too much apple or agave. I’m more into kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber, and celery. That’s my jam.”

3. She Avoids Crash Diets

Krysten just says no to fad diets. “I’m not good at deprivation,” she confessed to Bon Appetit. Instead, she tries to eat healthy, balanced meals.

4. She Boxes

For her role in Jessica Jones, Krysten strengthened up with the help of boxing. "I love it!" she told Women’s Health. "It's so dope." Fitness boxing has many health benefits, “because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs.”

5. She Trains Hard

Krysten also does “a lot of running, hiking, yoga, boxing, weight circuits and bodyweight exercises,” she told Train for Her about how she got into Jessica Jones shap. “My push-up game has improved dramatically. Working out and getting into the condition I was in was really empowering for me.” She also spent a lot of time at the gym. “With the physicality, I’d go hard at the gym for 90 minutes a day, so I could endure the stunts and schedule, and to make myself strong. The shooting schedule was intense and the stunts weren’t like anything I’ve ever done before, so I worked my butt off,” she added.

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
