Laker Girl Kaelie Osorio enjoyed an incredibly special trip to Bali, Indonesia in August, and shared the pictures on her social media. Osorio posted highlights of the vacation, including pictures of herself soaking up the sun in a lilac bikini, and learning the local traditional dance moves. “The sunniest summer🧜🏼♀️,” she captioned the post. “Sunshine in human form,” a friend commented. Here’s what else Osorio does to stay happy, fit, and healthy.
1. She’s a Professional Dancer
Like her fellow Laker Girls, Osorio is an accomplished and talented dancer. “The start of Laker Girl auditions have begun and I'm wishing the best of luck to everyone there!” she says. “Reflecting on my past two years as a Los Angeles Laker Girl leaves me with so much gratitude. Each friendship and once in a lifetime experience this opportunity gave me will always have a special place in my heart. I learned so much from balancing a full time job as an educator at a performing arts school on top of all the requirements and responsibilities that came with representing the Lakers organization. I couldn’t have done it without all the incredible people around me. Being a part of such a positive force for the LA Community has reinvigorated the woman I am/hope to become!”
2. Face Masks

Osorio uses face masks as part of her self-care regimen. “The ingredients from a face mask are kept longer in contact with your skin because of the occlusion phenomenon of the mask on your skin,” says Chérie Ditre, MD. “Healthy skin depends much more on how you care for it every day, including sticking to a good cleansing routine and staying hydrated.”
3. Skiing Trips
Osorio goes on skiing and snowboarding trips to Mammoth Mountain in Southern California. “It’s well documented that skiing and snowboarding benefits cardiovascular health, overall fitness, strength, coordination, balance and more,” says the Canadian Ski Council. “Regardless of your health and fitness goals, strapping on a pair of skis or a snowboard is sure to fulfill some of them. Due to the versatility of skiing and snowboarding, it can encompass the benefits of a cardio workout, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, and strength training session, all in one fun activity.”
4. She’s a Yogi
Osorio is a seasoned yogi, which is particularly useful to her as a dancer. “Yoga incorporates all four motions of the spine: flexion, extension, rotation and side-bending,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Therefore, yoga can prevent stiffness and disuse that also can occur with age. Being able to control the available range of motion in joints is crucial to good posture and decreasing the risk of injury.”
5. Hiking Trips
Osorio takes full advantage of Southern California’s many beautiful hiking spots. “Regular physical activity substantially reduces the risk of dying of coronary heart disease, and decreases the risk for colon cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure,” says the American Hiking Society. “Walking is one of the lowest impact sports around. This means that while you derive all the cardiovascular benefits of other aerobic activities, you do so with a minimum of stress, strain and pounding to your body.”
