She Spends Time Outside

She enjoys spending time outdoors, surrounded by nature. "Back in September, I had the opportunity to journey through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River alongside so many beautiful souls. We laughed, cried and formed lifelong bonds that I will hold close to my heart forever. I will never truly be able to describe the many ways that this recent nature immersion has impacted me. Standing on the banks of the Colorado River as we all took in its magnificence and beauty, I was reminded of the urgent need to preserve and protect this vital lifeline," she said on Instagram.

She watches what she eats. According to the Daily Mail, "she follows a strict raw vegan diet, which means she only eats raw plant foods that can be consumed without cooking. Proponents claim that ingredients can lose important nutrients and enzymes in the cooking process – and having raw plant food will improve energy levels, prevent disease and boost overall health."

She stays away from alcohol. According to the Daily Mail, "in her memoir, she revealed that she broke a 20-year period of sobriety with a beer after ex-husband Ashton Kutcher told her that he doubted alcoholism exists. But, despite a brief relapse, has embraced sobriety once again." According to UT Southwestern Medical Center, "if you decide to stop drinking, you could experience a range of health benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart complications. Reduced drinking helps lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of abnormal heart rhythms and dilated cardiomyopathy, which is heart muscle damage that can lead to heart failure."

She Loves Her Dog

Many people love their dog, but she really loves hers, spoiling her pup, Pilaf, all the time. "Happy birthday to everyone's favorite! The icon, the cover girl, my everything @pilaf.littlemouse ♥️ You are so loved," she said on Instagram on a video of memories with her beloved furry friend. According to News in Health, "interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol (a stress-related hormone) and lower blood pressure.

5

She Practiced Yoga

Yoga became a part of her life, keeping her fit and flexible. According to the Daily Mail, "Demi revealed in 2010 that she had taken up Bikram yoga which has been proven to 'improve lower body strength, lower and upper body range of motion, and balance in healthy adults,' according to the National Library of Medicine."
