Landman’s Ali Larter in Bikini Shares Her Go-To Health Habits for Looking Flawless at 49

Ali Larter is 49, and looks just as flawless in her bikini as she did in her Varsity Blues years. In a new social media post, the actress showcases her slim figure in a tiny red string bikini and reveals all her secrets. “For all my ladies out there that work hard to be their best everyday. Let’s hear how you do it? I had to shoot a bikini scene for my show last week. Playing a character that is so comfortable in her body drives me. So here’s how I prep and what I eat for a day on set,” she captioned the Instagram post. “I’ll have what she’s having. Holy moly Ali,” one of her followers commented. “FIRE BABY. 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️” commented Jillian Michaels. How does the star manage to look half her age? Here is what she revealed about her health habits.
Celery Juice and Coffee
Ali reveals that she starts her day with veggie juice and caffeine, “Celery juice and coffee,” she writes. According to the Cleveland Clinic, moderate coffee consumption has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
Exercise
It’s rise and exercise for Ali. After having coffee and celery juice, she works out. She tries to “hit the gym by 6,” she says. “I do a 30 minute intervals, run and 10 minutes of core.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and build lean muscle mass, and increase calorie burn. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
Her Get Ready Routine
Next it’s time to get ready. Ali keeps it simple. “Dunk my face in ice water, slather with oil cause of my spray tan. Leave for work at 7am. Go through the works and blend out my tan,” she says.
Hydration and Protein
After she gets to work, it’s time for more coffee, hydration, and food. She eats a protein-packed meal in the morning. “Another coffee, lemon water, eggs and Turkey bacon,” she says. According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW), but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.
Breathwork
She also practices breathwork. “10 minutes of deep breathing to break down the BS I tell myself and redirect my energy to a calm, confident, and creative state while I look over my material,” she says. “When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:
- Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
- Building skills to manage your stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
- Increasing patience and tolerance
- Lowering resting heart rate
- Lowering resting blood pressure
- Improving sleep quality
