Laura Prepon transformed her life and health since overhauling her diet (and writing a book about it!). Prepon, 44, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a gray sweatshirt, doing a variety of low-impact, gentle strength training exercises at the gym. “I always try to get in a sweat before work… what gets you ready for the day?🏋🏻‍♀️ #GetYourPrepOn #PrepOn,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for showing us your exercise routine, you encourage us 💕😍❤️,” a fan commented. Here’s what Prepon’s wellness routine looks like.

1. The Stash Plan

Prepon and integrated nutritionist Elizabeth Troy wrote a diet and wellness book called The Stash Plan. “It was one of those kismet things where I knew she was going to heal me and that’s what happened,” she told PEOPLE. Under Troy’s guidance, Prepon switched to organic, gluten-free food to help her liver and gallbladder. “As long [the food] hasn’t been altered I’ll eat it. I put brown sugar in my tea. There’s nothing wrong with sugar. You have to be able to have fun and live your life.”

2. Vitamix Blender

Prepon swears by her Vitamix blender for healthy food prep and cooking. "I love this blender for soups and smoothies,” she told Equinox. “It's so easy and you feel like a professional chef when you use it. I’ll take the broth I’ve made in my slow cooker and throw it in my Vitamix with steamed butternut squash or other veggies and make yummy pureed soups. Or I'll throw in a bunch of raw fruit, ice, yogurt and blend up a great smoothie."

3. iPod Shuffle

Music,,Mp3,And,EarphonesShutterstock

Prepon likes to go old-school when it comes to her workout routine. "My friends make fun of me because I still use my iPod Shuffle...haha!” she told Equinox. “But I love this thing. I don’t like having a bulgy iPhone to carry around or put in my pocket when I'm at the gym. I get 10 hours of music and it's great for working out."

4. Bone Broth

Prepon makes her own home-made bone broth. "I love my slow cooker,” she told Equinox. “When I get home to L.A., the first thing I do is get a bone broth cooking. This is an essential part of my lifestyle. I always have a broth in my fridge and my slow cooker is the key to that."

5. Stretching Workouts

Prepon replaced her high-intensity gym sessions with stretching workouts. “I’m in the best shape of my life,” she told PEOPLE. “Once we had the breakthrough with the stretching in combination with the food, it legitimately changed everything for me. I worked out more than anyone I knew! Now [stretching is] the only workout I do.”

Cydney Moreau is a fitness influencer and new mom who is easing back into her workout routine after giving birth. In a recent Instagram video, Moreau showed off her impressive kettlebell workout, wearing black spandex shorts and a cropped black tee, while sharing how she’s returning to her fitness regimen. Moreau has been open about staying active during and after pregnancy, incorporating pregnancy-safe workouts and Pilates into her routine. Now, she’s focusing on light weights and kettlebell exercises to regain her strength. As a busy mom, she’s mastered the art of multitasking, even squeezing in workouts in between daily tasks. Beyond the gym, Moreau loves outdoor activities like playing basketball, keeping her active lifestyle varied and engaging.

1. Kettlebell Workouts

Moreau is showing fans how she’s returning to her schedule after recently having a baby. Wearing black spandex workout shorts and a tight black cropped tee, the new mom showed off her kettlebell workout in an Instagram video with the caption, “Finally back to my regular workout routine. Kettlebell exercises can target many different muscles and be a full-body workout. “Kettlebell training provides a low-impact, full-body workout that strengthens muscles and improves cardiovascular health,” according to Shape.

2. She Uses Light Weights

Wearing a barely there red bikini, Moreau worked out using light weights and captioned her post, “Multitasking as a momma." According to Prevention, using light weights has the following benefits:

-Lowering body fat. “With consistent light lifting, your body will look leaner and more toned, and your clothes will fit better.”

-Preserving muscle mass. “Light lifting can slow the decline.”

-Improve bone density. “Using weights encourages cells to form new bone to offset age-related declines in bone mineral density.”

3. She Did Pregnancy Safe Workouts

Cydney Moreau.3Cydney Moreau/Instagram

Throughout her pregnancy, the influencer did pregnancy-safe workouts and shared a video of them and a 21-day challenge she completed. “I am 39 weeks pregnant and using the @bodi app for my everyday workouts. The Bodi app is perfect because I can just open up my phone and do a work out wherever I am. I am able to modify the workouts and make sure I stay on track. Let me know if you guys try this work out!”

4. She Does Pilates

Wearing a cute pastel-colored dress with shorts underneath, Moreau showed off her Pilates skills. Pilates is a fitness trend that’s here to stay and one that should not be ignored. According to the Cleveland Clinic, Pilates has several health benefits, including improved muscle tone, flexibility and strength, pain relief, better posture, and balance and coordination. “The nearly century-old practice of Pilates provides a low-impact, full-body workout that could be a great addition to a well-balanced exercise program,” the site stated. “While the research on the health benefits of Pilates isn’t definitive, it suggests Pilates can positively impact your physical and mental health.”

5. She Plays Basketball

In addition to hitting the gym, Moreau enjoys being active outside and playing basketball. Over 450 million people worldwide play basketball, making it one of the most popular sports. Besides burning calories, it’s also a great cardio workout for your heart. According to StyleCraze, “Basketball is one of the best exercises for heart health! Because you keep moving, your heart rate increases. It also helps in building endurance, which is important when you want to make sure that your heart is healthy. It will help lower the risk of stroke and heart disease later in your life.”

2. She Does Workouts Correctly

Justiz makes sure to do workouts properly. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “Everyone could use a form refresh ✨ lower body form workout now live on the app 📲This is essentially a crash course for lower body exercises, and you will feel a major difference when doing these correctly 👀 this was a major burn because of how in depth we go on the form!! Perfect for beginners to learn the basics but also good for our advanced thrivers who just want to refresh their form knowledge 🙂‍↔️”

3. She Does Glute Isolations

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Justiz likes to do lower body workouts. Specifically, she likes to do glute isolations. Justiz shared this video of herself doing some glute workouts. She captioned it, “Glute isolation makes my workouts x5 more effective… here’s why ⬇️1. Doing glute isolation before my weighted lower body days wakes up my glutes and ensures that they are WORKING during the workout. 2. It’s a great warm up + increases hip mobility = lowers injury = less time off to recover. 3. This is especially helpful if you have overactive thigh muscles (hamstring, quads, etc)! This is wakes the glutes up!!”

4. She Does Planks

Justiz likes to do plank exercises to stay fit. She shared some of her favorites in this video she posted on Instagram. Justiz captioned it, “Planks are notorious for activating and targeting your transverse abdominis muscle - which not only snatches your waist but also helps with back pain and stabilizes your core. I still like to do crunches for an definition but my girls that have been working out with me know how much I love my planks ☺️”

5. She Works Her Upper Body

Justiz makes sure to build upper body strength. She shared some of her favorite upper body exercises in this Instagram video. Start with 10 of each and make it a habit to build upper body strength. A little bit every day goes a long way - and the best part is you can do it poolside in less than a few minutes.”

3. She Does Lower Body Workouts

Bossert captioned it, “Hardest part of this was editing it down to be under 90 seconds for this darn reel 🤣 But here we are !! A few common questions I hope I answered for you in this video are: Q : What can I do if lunges hurt my knees? A : The Smith Machine is a great tool where you can perform multiple versions of squats and lunges and helps pull some of that impact and weight off of your knees.”

4. She Does Glute Bridges

Sami Bossert.4Sami Bossert/Instagram

Bossert shared this video on her Instagram story of herself doing glute bridges. NASM states that the workout has a lot of benefits. “Glute bridges are a useful exercise for building core stability, building glute strength, and improving overall exercise form and function. When performed as a stabilization exercise, glute bridges activate the glutes to function as they are supposed to in other movements like squats, deadlifts, walking, and running. Adding weight progresses glute bridges into a strength exercise, which can build strength in the glute muscles.”

5. She Uses A Resistance Band

Sami Bossert.5Sami Bossert/Instagram

In the previous video, Bossert is also seen using a resistance band. Harvard Health states that these have a lot of benefits. “They can prepare your muscles for the many types of movements you make throughout the day, such as when you stretch, bend, lift, or simply rise from a chair. In addition, training with bands improves muscle power, which helps you avoid falls and risk of injury. Bands are especially helpful if you have trouble gripping or holding dumbbells, or need greater control when doing exercises, such as if you're recovering from an injury or dealing with joint pain.”

Linn Lowes, a successful fitness influencer, recently shared a motivating workout video on Instagram, sporting bright yellow workout gear while performing some of her favorite bodyweight exercises. "Let’s go! 🫵🏼🌤️Always loved these bodyweight circuits, especially in the sunset light!" she captioned the post. Linn emphasizes that you don’t need fancy gym equipment to get a great workout and boost your mood through exercise. Whether it's lunges, glute kickbacks, or RDLs, Lowes is proof that simple, effective exercises are key to staying in shape. Here’s a look at her top fitness habits that help her stay strong and healthy.

1. She Does Lunges

Lowes loves to do lunges to stay in shape. In her Instagram video, she is seen doing reverse lunge crunches and jumping lunges. ACE Fitness states that since lunges are a unilateral training exercise, they have a lot of benefits. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

2. She Does Glute Kickbacks

Lowes does a lot of lower body workouts. One thing she likes to do is glute cable kickbacks. Lowes shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them. She captioned the post, “My key tips for targeting glute max & glute med with cable kickbacks! Both really good, I do them both frequently. 💪🏼 1️⃣ Glute Max - the biggest of your glute muscles. Turn toes out, heel in - lean forward as much as you can, hold onto the cable machine for stability and kick backwards with a slight angle. 2️⃣ Glute Med - Sits both underneath and slightly higher than your glute maximus. Lean forward, step over the cable with your non working leg, turn heel outwards on your working leg and kick in a cross movement.”

3. She Uses Weights

Lowes likes to use weights when she works out. She shared her approach in the caption of this Instagram post. “I used to train more like this in the beginning of my fitness journey then I transferred into more sets and fewer exercises. Now I’m back to enjoying both! Lots of exercises with light/medium weights, slow motions, lots of mindful muscle connection leaves your muscles exhausted. It’s so nice to work ut a sweat using weights from time to time! I never get sweaty moving heavy weights..”

4. She Does RDLs

Lowes likes to do RDLs to stay in shape. She revealed in this Instagram video that she likes to use them with a cable weight instead of a barbell. Lowes captioned it, “RDL’s with the cable instead of a barbell - yesss, I’m a bit obsessed! Started doing these after thousands RDL’s with a barbell because my lower back felt a bit fried.

The setup is important however! Keep these 2 key points in mind if you decide to try it.

1. You must stand on something elevated to keep the cable stretched at all times.
2. You must be suuuuper close to the cable machine so the weight comes from beneath you and NOT in front of you.

I also like to have a slightly wider stance than I usually have in a RDL movement. (Personal preference!)

Save & Try!”

5. She Values Exercise

Lowes naturally values exercise. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Training has been a huge thing for me during good times and bad times. It truly is medicine for your body mind and soul. I honestly don’t know where I’d be today without training because that’s one of the major things that made me jump out of bed when all I wanted to do was pull the curtains down and sleep for days.”

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
